Overall it's a good rendition of the Renegades take on Scarlett but it's a pretty disappointing figure, overall. Not terrible but not great...

I just picked up this figure recently and love it for it's minimalism and the new ball jointed ankles. The head sculpt is the best Scarlet yet.
It's a minimalistic figure all right. Would have been nice if she came with a couple extra guns and maybe a removable vest. Still is nice figure.
When I look at her I have a problem seeing her as Scarlett. Her face is too young. Scarlett did look young in the cartoon but so did Duke. His Renegades figure doesn't have a very young face. I think I might start calling this figure Skipper.

I like her for her simplicity, really one of the few Renegades inspired figures in which the "less is more" aspect actually works IMO.

i was suprised when opening this one, but she is one of my favorite Renegades figures, and the best scarlet to date.

She is going to be a good figure to do female customs with. If you have any extra 25th Scarletts pop the 25th head on the Renegades body. It looks pretty good.

I disagree regarding female figures needing to look sexy. It's kinda the pervy route to go. With the exception of the Baroness, it's not believable to see female military troops showing cleavage, hair worn down or wearing form-fitting attire. I think that's one of the things they got right with the design of Scarlet from Renegades. She looks like someone to take serious.

I love this Scarlet...her younger face compared to Duke doesn't bother me. I had never had her with Duke anyway. As for extra gear I'm going to take from the other versions...

I agree that she doesn't have to ''be sexy'' and that's not what I was saying (apologies if that's how it came across.) I just think the head sculpt is really ugly. Not plain, or even serious. Ugly.
The expression doesn't help either - she reminds me of Kenneth Williams.

I had a feeling a lot of Tankers would dig this figure though. I've seen a few people calling it the ''definitive'' version but it just doesn't do it for me, I'm afraid. Still, at least we actually GOT a Scarlett this time around...

That's funny, because IMO this has to be the best Scarlet head sculpt to date. Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's the definitive version, but a definite improvement since the relaunch of the brand with the 25th.

I really liked this version of Scarlet when I opened it. I think it has a better design than most previous female figures.
But now you've mentioned Kenneth Williams every time I look at it all I hear is "oooohhh matron".
Thanks.

Her head sculpt is okay, I think it would have been better if it was molded in flesh(color) then paint the hair & eyes. Heck look at the improvement on this one...JoeDios - JoeDios Dioramas, Photos, collections, Reviews & Files - Scarlett's Makeover (http://www.joedios.com/dioramas/showimage.php?i=38488&catid=member&imageuser=4371)

I just started watching Renegades (I don't get The Hub so I am behind the times) and so far I dig Scarlett. This toy looks like a great representation of her in addition to being just a great toy of Scarlett. So I am eager to get this one from my Pile of Loot from BBTS.

I got my Scarlett in the mail last week. Out of the renegades figure, she is my least favorite, but not terrible by any means. The headsculpt just looks bad for some reason. My brother and I tried a Rachel Nichols head on the body though and *bam* perfect Scarlett!

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but that Rachel Nichols/ ROC sculpt was two of the worst.

Well I did mean the reactive impact armor version. That other one looks like a druggie.

I agree. The reactive armor versions is better than the pit version. I think if the paint apps were better, it could been really good.

I always thought the figure looked like the Character Olivia Dunham from Fringe:

Got my Wave 4 figures from Kokomo today and I am really impressed with Scarlett. She can hold any SMG or rifle the way a rifle is meant to be held. Her articulation is really good.
I wish she had the hinged wrists and some more muscles on the arms, but other than that, she's a damn nice figure. The body armor looks very cool, too, and I even like the headsculpt.
Very, very nice figure.

I like the figure, she is a good representation. I do miss the extra weapons she was supposed to come with. At least we get them with the subscription Jinx from the club.

Well, I finally got Scarlett last night from BBTS and I am totally digging this figure. I like her proportions, her sculpt, and her poseability. I like how she looks slim without being frail or fragile.
I posed her kicking the Renegades Trooper square in the face, with the Trooper reeling back in pain, heh!

I agree with a lot of the comments on this thread. In the end this chick'll end up being a well-liked version, but her relationship to the cartoon is the thing that's gonna keep her from being "classic".
Still, it is something to note that Scarlett has always had a problematic translation to the toys. The 25th body had articulation issues (so they re-used it for a subscription figure? Really?) and the Rachel Nichols one was... well.. same issue as with this one... tied to the movie, and not the larger universe.
Although I really dig the Nichols version, I think this one will have a longer shelf-life for me.

I finally got around to doing the head swap between my 25th and 30th Scarlet and I have to say Wow! What a major difference. What I didn't see coming is how much I love my 25th Scarlet now, The 30th head looks great on the 25th body. You can't fit the helmet on the 30th head because of the pony tail but you could paint the helmet to match the 30th body if you want I will probably do that.
The picture really doesn't do the two justice but here it is

I just tried swapping the Renegades head onto the Resolute figure but it looks really weird. :(

I got this figure for my daughter in January for her 5th birthday.
Initially, she cried when she saw I got her a G.I. Joe figure instead of a Moxy Girl or something...
...However, after an hour or so she came around and these days Scarlett is one of her favorite toys above everything else, including Barbies, My Little Ponies, etc.
To me, the Renegades Scarlett is an AWESOME figure. Having the rocker ankles really makes a big difference as far as her "posability" goes. She has a great sculpt, her uniform colors are good, the paint aps are alright (on my daughters one of her eyes is a bit wonky, but not too bad) and although she doesn't have barely anything for accesories, her hands can hold pretty much anything I have from other figures.
My biggest gripe is the stupid "laser blaster thingy" handgun she came with. I know it's supposed to be from the cartoon, but it just looks weird to me.
For one of the very few female figures we've seen make it to retail in a long while, she's pretty good.

Maybe a 25th head on the Resolute Scarlet too?
I'm leaving mine in the box.

As far as I'm concerned, this is the only Scarlett figure whose face sculpt/skin tone looks like that of an actual ginger. :-)
I like the figure, overall, and ranks over the 25th Scarlett for me...while I loved the 25th sculpt and paintjob, the articulation and rubbery hands that can't even hold her pistol (but at least she can hold her crossbow) knock her down a few notches for me. The Renegades Scarlett, however, has some of the best articulation I've ever seen on a 3 3/4" figure.

I know that at first she seems to be sort of a "meh" figure, but i have to say I really like her. She's easily one of my favorites from the Renegades line up. It's a nice, modern upgrade from the original, who keeps her classic colors, in a way, but looks like a "real" soldier, as opposed to the superhero-esque original.

I dunno what it is, but she sorta reminds me of Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss from "The Hunger Games" and Mystique from "X-Men: First Class").

I wasn't a fan of this figure at first sight. When we saw her at Toys R Us, my son asked me to buy it for him & I got a chance to see her "in action" on the battlefield. My son still showed a preference to his 25th Anniversary Scarlett, so this one kinda "fell through the cracks". One day when we were playing Joes, and I was using this Scarlett to take down some Cobras, my son said, "You can have her, Daddy. You can keep her forever if you want." (He always puts time limits on things that he lets me use, usually 3 days)
Since I added her to my GI Joe roster, she has grown on me. Mostly because my son gave her to me out of the blue. But all in all, I think she's a cool figure, and she's my "go-to" Scarlett now. The 25th version is very cool, the movie version is more of a looker, but Renegades Scarlett is my preferred version now.
Thanks Hasbro! And a million thanks to you, Davey, for hooking me up with a great figure!
