Cover price for a trade... they should still be out there, available at most comic shops (my local shop has 3 in stock). The trade has extra pages and another story included (if memory serves).
As far as individual issues, I'm not quite sure.

I found one last year at a Newbury Comics (they sell music, comics, and many other things here in New England). Paid $18.95 plus tax...so yeah, $20 seems reasonable.

I was about to suggest Half.com but then I saw the crazy prices (http://product.half.ebay.com/G-I-Joe_W0QQprZ51266413QQtgZinfo). I hate it when books go out of print it goes for unreasonable prices. It's like they're expecting someone to fall for those prices.
Midtown Comics still has the hardcover for $25.49 (http://www.midtowncomics.com/Neshop/Product_detail.asp?PR_ID=628265). Honestly, that's the best deal I've seen so far for a brand new copy. I'd suggest picking that up.
In anycase, I bought my paperback for half off at a convention. Keep your eyes peeled at shops and conventions is all I can suggest for now.

This may be a stupid question, but does the hardcover version include the entire series of 6?

smalljoes have the singles for $2.95 i think, but they never have issue #1 which seems to be the hardest to find

It's been awhile since I've seen my friend's copy but it's the entire story in a swanky hardcover. I think when you remove the dustjacket, it has the Arashikage symbol.

It has the entire series, a short story (prelude to issue 21) by Larry Hama, and it has a Snake-Eyes timeline, which tells you what issues (from the Marvel series) were used for Snake-Eyes Declassified. I'd pick up the Hard Cover if you can.

Is the only difference the embossed Arashikage symbol on the hard cover then?

I'm not sure. my cover looks like the cover of the first issue. Inside cover has a drawing of a tree, says SE declassified along with some credits. The next page has the symbol and publishing info. Then the "SE deconstructed" page by Hama. Chapters 1 - 6 are next, followed by the source guide, then silent prelude, 2 pages of DDP adverts, and then the tree again on the inside back cover. I've never seen the hard cover.

Thanks. I'll check the hard cover when I get home, but it's sounds pretty much the same.

OK, just got back from the comic shop. They sold out of every one of the TPB's last week.
HOWEVER, mswi, I picked up issue #1 for you. They had it and you said it was the only issue you didn't have access to. PM me for more info.

Supposedly smalljoes.com (http://smalljoes.com/gi-joe-gijoe-comic-book-limited-series.shtml) has all 6 issues for cover price.
Never ordered from the before and don't know if they regularly update their current stock.
Something to look into.
Edit: I should note Scarlett Declassified is a nice companion to Snake-Eyes'. Great issue!
smalljoes has all issues except #1, which seems hard to find, been looking for a while

Snake-Eyes real name was supposed to be hidden in one of the panels of the TPB. Did anybody ever find it? I don't think Devil's Due ever confirmed what it was.

Ah good to hear. I love Midtown Comics since they don't seem to screw you in prices. During the height of Identity Crisis, I was still able to buy the first print issues well below cover price.
Snake-Eyes real name was supposed to be hidden in one of the panels of the TPB. Did anybody ever find it? I don't think Devil's Due ever confirmed what it was.
I've read that his name is suppose to be "Charlie Mike"... but I think who ever updated Wikipedia or posted that on various boards misread the book. It meant "Continue the Mission." Then again, if it's cryptically written in the background I missed it.

It never was. The name was also nixed by Hasbro and never released - hidden or otherwise.

I applaud Hasbro for that.He is 1 person that should never have his name revealed.I hear he is going to talk in the movie,is it true?I avoid the movie section like the plague. I hope not,If he starts talking in the IDW book...I'm done.
