I hope you guys got out to TRU early this morning at 10am thats when they had their new delivery out, a couple I know of like Poughkeepsie and Danbury had the vehicles this morning I was too busy working I only saw the Serpentor/Armadillo by the time I got there which I hid if anyone needs it.I actually ran into one of the younger female managers at another TRU which I knew from a couple years ago and I never realized she worked there so I used my pimping skills lol and she said she will try to set some aside for me if Wave 9 ever comes in because she said the "collectors" always come in every Wed. morning at store opening and buy everything out and that alot of people have been asking for G.I. Joes so now I know why everything is empty by the time I get there.I also ran into another lady I knew at K.B in Newburgh and she said "collectors" always come in at store opening at Thu. morning when they get new stuff in. K.B has their deliveries every other Thu.

Got one each of the DVD packs in Target in Niskayuna. I called with the DCPI # and they pulled them out of the back for me. They had "4 on hand". The other 2 were not on the shelf so, they are probably still there... Also they had no spot on the shelves for vehicles or DVD sets yet.

It was Westbury Target. They still might have the "Mass Device" pack. Maybe even more in the back. Not too sure tho.

Apparently at the Niskyuna one, they pulled them from the back after I called, and brought them to the service desk.

If I go there I usually try late at night during the weekends when there is less people shopping.I don't even bother during the weekdays its just pure hell to try shop when its that busy.The past couple times I noticed they get new stuff in of Fri. for the weekend sales,Toys R Us best time is Wed. or Thu. morning.Since I'm complete now I probably won't be in there for awhile I can take a break now till September when this Wave 10 hits its just too much hassle trying to find these B.A.T.S I'm happy with 1 and I just hope the ones I pre-ordered online comes through.I'll still post findings if I'm out and about

The Wal-Mart is one of my stops but I have never had real good luck there. Target and Toys R Us in Poughkeepsie have been the best to me. I hope to maybe run in to you Tankers one day while out hunting.

Yeah, sorry, that was me. I got the Vamp, Hiss and trouble bubble and left the Serpentor/Armadillo because I got that not last week but the week before. Some one had done the same thing to me as I just did to you and took everything except the Serpentor/Armadillo, which I grabbed.

3 weeks ago I ordered all the Target exclusive vehicles that were out last May. Paid like $25 a piece for all 3. Well last week at target I found all three in the clearance section. You will never believe what I paid for them at target..........$2.50 each!!!! $7.50 for all three!!! If only I had waited on ordering over the Internet. Oh well now I just have more cool Joe vehicles.

They also hadthe Duke/Red Star comic two packs. Finally I got it!!!

nyc times square tru has all the vehicals 4 of each about 15 12 inch joes and tons of comic packs new and old plus all the tru's clusives

Went to Target in Poughkeepsie and they had new comic packs. Finally got the one with Red Star. They had one or two left when I was there. They also had a couple of the shipwreck's one and SS and Firefly's. No single cards or vehicles and no DVD Mass device packs either.

Target in Colonie had the DVD packs and some vehicles. I snagged another HISS for the Commander and got 3 of the 2 DVD packs. Left the one w/ Stalker, and left the tank/air chariot. Nothing new, but they are resetting the isles there. A little early for a Christmas reset, so it must be to allow for new product space.

Also snagged the Indiana Jones Titanium sets, still some left for those interested.

I popped the regular Flint head on my extra Duke from the Red Star comic pack. It looke weird at first but is growing on me. The Duke head on that flint body also looks pretty cool. That's about the extent of my customizing abilties. Lol.

TRU-Middletown had a set Vehicles as well as Walmart-Middletown also a set of vehicles,Target-Middletown had 3 sets of the Wave 4 comic packs and only 1 Tiger Flint
Walmart-Monticello only had the Flight Pod/Ram and Chariot/Armadillo
Those 12" Joes are pretty much in every Walmart but I don't care for them they look too awkward

Just wanted to inform anyone leaving in the Hudson Valley area that there is a great little toy store on Raymond Avenue in Poughkeepsie. It's across from the post office. It's called THE COLLECTORS REALM. They don't have a whole lot of GI Joe but they have a lot of everything else. They have a lot of stuff you won't find in your normal toy stores. The place is just packed with awesome collectable and non-collectable toys. Mostly action figures like Batman and all things DC, Marvel, wrestling, transformers, Star Wars, and also a lot of cool off the wall things. If you have never been I highly recommend it.

Target in poughkeepsie had a set of vehicles .. I only picked up ram/pod . they also got a case of the dvd packs. I took 1 set.
I came back to the store 2 hours later to see if they put out any wave 9 and the other dvd packs and the vamp were already gone.
They also had the 12" figures they had the 12" figures in toys r us in poughkeepsie as well ... I picked up some more vehicles there today too..

I go to Target, TRU, and Kmart just about every day except Sunday and Monday. I checked Target last night at 8:00pm and they had the same old nothing they have had. I overslept this morning and I still had to go food shopping and when I got to target they had the all-new display and an empty spot where the DVD packs had been. I even had them check in the back for more but they were all out. I always say if I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all. I am sooo mad. Nothing worse then going every day for weeks on end and then just missing something you want by a few minutes/hours. I am sure most people here can relate.
Oh well, I picked up the Vamp. I already have one but 2 are better then 1. I have all the other vehicles that were there so I left them behind. I will get another Hiss down the road. Not enough $$$$ today.

My pre-order from Entertainment Earth Wave 9 case with the 2 B.A.T.S and 2 Serpents is now shipping so I won't be needing to hunt for them now but when you do see Wave 5 comic packs trickle in our area let me know it might be awhile though with what happened with the Wave 4 comics

Was having lunch with a lady friend at a Chinese Buffet in Mohegan Lake and she said she had a return to do at the Walmart in Cortlandt Manor.So I was like ok gave me a reason to check out the toys and must have been my lucky day I found Wave 9 figures took the B.A.T and Serpent surprisingly someone was there before me and took the worst figure of the set the Ninja-Ku.I also did see a perfect carded Major Bludd just waiting for someone and only the VAMP was there.

damn , I was all set to do laundry this morning then I logged on and saw bionic's message about the 7 cases of wave9. It was like 9am when I saw the message and was like dam .. I have to go check .. I was pissed because there were 4 more cases I couldn't get to :(

LOL I have been guilty of cleaning out many pegs!!1)..then later in the day went to transit and someone thought they were slick and opened some cases but they did nt look hard enough because there were three more cases in between the other boxes....long story short i cleaned out the bats but only at transit!!

I did see plenty of Jetpack Dukes and others in that wave. Could the stores really be 3 months behind on receiving/stocking the singles? I picked this wave up in OH in May, but they are just now appearing here.

What I do is hide the leftover in a remote place in the store, and ask the employee if there is anymore figures. Sometimes they come back with more figures, but usaully it's "what we have is what's there..." only to find the out the next day the pegs have been refilled, and I missed it all.

I hit 3 Wal marts, 3 Targets, and 2 TRU two times each over the last two days. I've seen some wave 9 stuff but it looks like I am just missing the good figures from them. (i have the wave 9 preordered from BBTS so I am just looking for Bats and Serpents).
other than that all that is out there are the older comic packs, some Hiss tanks, and a ton of Wild Bills. It appears that Wild Bill is the new CC!!

I wanted the green shirt packs but didn't see one anywhere. I got tired of not finding anything so I picked up a Imperial Pilot 3 pack from TRU in Centereach. :)

If we new that then it wouldn't be much of a hunt. Seriously though, you really never know when these places get things in. TRU seem to get their toys in on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays. Target seems like they get things in a lot on Thursdays but they can get them in any day. Wal-Mart is the same, they can get them in any day. Wal-Mart seems to get a big shipment in around 11:00pm - 12:00am on Thursday nights.

The days I don't usually look are Sundays and Mondays. I feel the big days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and even Fridays. I sometimes check Saturday mornings but have never had much luck then.

Not sure if this helps any.

This past week was the 1st week in months that I didn’t go hunting. Kind of felt good…..real good. Although the only reason I didn’t go is because I am currently broke. As soon as the next paycheck comes in I will be back out on the hunt. *Sigh*

I appreciate the advice, Gatchaman. I usually preorder a set on BBTS or HTS and then look in the stores to buy ones to open. I hadn't bought a Joe toy since I was a kid before the 25th ones came out (I usually collect Marvel Legends only).

Oh, the Newburgh Walmart has a Weather Dominator DVD pack, a Torpedo and a Wild Bill. Also, if you're into DC, there is a Harley Quinn fig from the DC Universe line there. I hadn't seen that in stores before and I think it's the short pack. This is as of 2 a.m. early Sunday.

Found the Wave 5 comic packs at the Queensbury Target last Thursday on my way up north to camp. Picked up one of each and a Black Headed Destro pack. There was one CC/Tripwire and NE/Falcon pack left as of 5pm Thursday. The capital region Targets should be getting these any time now I would think.

Spent the weekend up in the Catskills.Couldn't resist checked the Catskill Walmart just leftovers of Wave 9:BBQ,Bazooka,Hawk etc. had dvd packs and vehicles.On the way down RT9 tonight stopped by the Poughkeepsie Target right before it closed for some razors and to my surprise found Wave 5 comic packs.Only 1 Tripwire/Cobra Commander left put it behind those Batman Gauntlets wrist shooter thingys for whoever wanted it.They also had plenty of dvd packs.I was real lucky because I can never make it to Target or Toys R Us in the morning when they open to find these because of work.I know all the Toys R Us in the Valley got in Wave 9 figs this past week so if you didn't go then its probably too late

preordering thru the web isnt all bad, 1 alot of the time there are internet exclusive cases (usually have duplicate troops) which can be a plus, in addition, sometimes you will end up getting the order at around the time the stuff begins to arrive on the west coast and so u get it quicker, which is a plus. finally, i aint seen a bat or snow serpent in... ever... on the pegs, so unless you have perfect timing or go 40 times a week (like i used to) u may not see certain figures.

SOOOOO honestly, i order prety much everything online, then if i find it in the stores i just cancel the online order, that simple. I do everything Jackstatic said.I pre-order everything online as a backup especially the November releases will be difficult to find during holiday shopping season.I have actually gotten by last cases just around or before retail release Wave 8 and 9 from E.E. and I love the double figure exclusives like my last case had 2 BATS and 2 Serpents,plus I paid less I locked in the 49.99 a case price before all the prices went up so I paid cheaper than retail price by about $13.Also the link I gave with Wave 9 was not a pre-order its in Stock, which means you get in 5 days.I'm not a big fan of this "hunting" I'm a big fan of getting my figures.There is no difference in to the surprise of finding new toys in my mail then new toys at the store.I actually like the comfort.Well enough blabbing.On to the findings:

I was lucky to get BAT. I saw the unopened box at Walmart and asked one of the workers to open the box for me. She said "sure dear" and there it was! BATS and Snow Serpents. It's too bad we have to get these figures on pure luck.

I was 2 young when all the originals came out but i still loved the cartoons and used 2 take all my cousins lol, but any way, now when i found spirit and snake eyes and timber i just bought them, 2 make a long story short im just catching up on everything thats happened and going on now. Why does it seem like the capital district is so far behind??? i found 1 walmart with Hawk, Bazooka, and Barbaque in late july and it seems now a couple are just gettin those back in. Are there official relaese dates?? And does anybody know what days stores sipments or stock aisles?? (walmart, target,etc..) i check glemont frequently but never any real luck. I been looking for some BATS, as i see alot of you have, along with Major Bludd. Well right now were coming upon wave 10 . I dont see one special day stores put out there stuff. I spoke to 1 target employee that told me no trucks come in on sat so sunday dont even bother. And where is the capital district? Not to sure on the release dates it seems each state gets things and diff times.

As i tell all new guys on the board before u order something on line ask around the tank first iam sure someone here is gonna have what u want and cheaper then a web site. And the tank is a great way to get into collecting joes again.

I thought i had an overall idea but then everything that was on its way out it but it seemed like Albany was 2 waves behind in most stores. As LT. Seal already said the BATs are out there now. They are just harder to come by because people swipe them up right away.

As far as Major Bludd goes he was just re-released on a non-25th Anniversary card. If you want the 25th Anniversary card version that might be a bit harder to come by now.

I have been searching all over the country using the Target store checker things online. Now I didn't check every single zip code in the country, just mainly big cities. So far the only places that I could come up with that had these things available was in Richmond, Va and Cincinnati, OH. By the way the only people who have posted that they've actually found these in stores so far have been in Virginia and Ohio, so maybe there is some truth to those stock checking things. As far as these things being on the shelves in any part of Long Island I highly doubt it so far. Maybe other they have become available in other places since my last search early this morning though, but I didn't find any in the stores on my hunt this morning. The site is still showing no stock for our Targets here as of now.

I'm not calling you a liar or anything but maybe you either misread the scanner or it was displaying the wrong info.

EDIT: I just saw another availability at a Target in the Atlanta area, and someone else found them at a Target somewhere in Texas. That one was posted on Joesightings.com

We have 2 stores here in Dallas/Fort Worth (one of which was reported to have one at least) that are now showing to be -2 in stock when you talk to the store employees. The target look up site shows the exact same thing for me and has for the last 3 days I have checked it 'Out of stock". Instore scanner says "Availble in stock room: NO", Aisle "NA". I was not able to see these 2 stores prior online prior to them selling the units so I can not persoanlly state that it showed those 2 locations had any but from what I have read, the site may be a tool that can save some gas money which at this point would be nice for once.

I still believe getting out and just being at the right place at the right has yielded better results for me be damn...ouch, gas at this point I could have bought eveything online even at premium prices and could have had a second army going :(

Made a Middletown run. Got the Firefly and Crimson Guard five-packs at Toys R Us. The only two they had. No Bats but they had a few Snow Serpents. They also had Falcon/Nemesis Enforcer two packs.
Went to Target and got a Conquest (last one). They didn't have Rattlers. There were a few Target exclusive Marvel Legends, too.
Wal-Mart had jack squat.

Some patience paid off and saved some drive time.Used the online inventory checker and saw Newburgh Target had jets in stock.Went at 5pm today after work and they were still there finished up my squadron with another Conquest and left some Rattlers on the shelf and more in the back stockroom.Checked out Collectors Realm in Poughkeepsie by Juliets Cafe Billiards.They had some old school Joes.ARAH style comic packs and a bunch of Wave 4 Destros in 25th card for 6.99 I'm glad he didn't put up scalper prices even the wrestling figures were cheaper than the retail stores

That Collectors Realm store is a cool store. I think I even recommended it in here a few weeks back. I just wish they got in new 25th style Joes. They got great everything else. Lots of Batman stuff.

The online checker was accurate again.Just left the Middletown Target at 10pm Sat. night and got another jet.Guess these are not in high demand after all since they have been instock since yesterday.Left a full set on the shelf if anyone wants them Sun. morning they will be there.Walmart is filled with that crappy Revision case of Crimson Guards and IG Destro.TRU filled with leftover Wave 9's still a Serpent hanging.Time to go party now :P

Walmart Glenmont has that revision cxase to...nothing like Hasbro to re release CGS after everyone clamored and horded every one they saw upon their 1st release....and WHY re release IG Desro, at the SAME TIME as the comic pack one?!?
...oh and in case you are army building COWBOYS AND INDIANS, they have a plethora of WILD BILLS and SPIRITS lol

There is also an army of jetpack Dukes hanging around.I'm afraid these pegwarmers will clog the shelves for awhile preventing wave 10 cases from being ordered.So I pre-ordered them online just in case if I find them in retail first then I'll cancel my pre-orders

Niskayuna Target had 1 Conquest tonight as of about 9 pm.

Just at the South Setakuet Target. They had some of Wave 9, but of course all the troop builders (B.A.T.s & Snow Serpents) were gone already. :-/

On the plus side, they did have quite a few of Barbecue (my GF bought me one), Sgt. Bazzooka & the Ninja-Ku Storm Shadow. Also had some Major Bludd figures too. First time I've spotted anything new at Target inna while.

Thanx CG, for pickin up that Rattler just made a co pilot out of a Python patrol troop,a Fred head and a Air trooper helmet..plus the dvd troopers webgear...pix soon
