In a shocking turn of events, the Long Island City TRU got about 5 cases of wave 7 this morning. A couple other collectors beat me to it but were nice enough to share some of the spoils, so I was able to get everyone except the Hiss Tank Driver. I guess it's time to start checking the local TRUs.....

TRU in Clifton Park had 3 Joe Officer sets and 2 Cobra Officer sets, as well as several of each of the 5 pack exclusives. Same old Buzzer and Hooded CC were the only single figs. Target in CP= no single figs.

Well I finally found the proof I was looking for that Wave 7 is in my area.I snagged the last Wave 7 Snake Eyes that was just randomly sitting in a cart full of toys in the aisle at Walmart in Middletown this past weekend apparently I just missed out on a case I guess,starting to get a little frustrated since I search daily.Nothing in Fishkill or Newburgh Walmart.TRU in Middletown had a ton of the Senior 3-packs I might get more Guards.The K-B's had actually gotten in Joes they were the Wave 2 revisions but of course the Snake Eyes,Stormshadow and Lady Jayes are gone already except for 1 Lady Jaye in Newburgh.So the only thing I could do to fix addiction to getting some new was get some Indiana Jones figs *sigh*

Well, I went over to East Meadow Walmart. And they were completely cleaned out, except for 2 Serpentors, a Hooded CC and a Cobra Soldier. When I was there I talked to an employee, that happened to be the Toy Department Manager. He told me he was on vacation for about a week and when he got back he saw the stack of 12 cases of GI Joe that hadn't been put out while he was gone, in the stockroom. He said, he put them all out yesterday. I guess that's when Tiger Force Dude found them. And now there all gone. Goddamn that was quick!!! Goes to show that the regular workers don't do there job.

Anyway, on a brighter note I did find Wave 7 today at Westbury Target. They had about 3-4 cases on the pegs. I picked up 2 Vipers. There were definitely more Vipers hanging there. No Hiss Drivers though. GO NOW IF YOU NEED WAVE 7!!!!

Damn, I haven't seen jack in the capital district the last couple of days. Only traces that wave 7 has been in the area is the lone Duke at the Rotterdam WM. I've been hoping that TRU or KMart will get wave 7 soon. I'm still in search of Spirit, and it's driving me nuts.

That Wal-Mart used to be GREAT for getting stuff...I'd go every night and check the pallets, but I've had no luck there since the Wave 2 comic packs/Wave 4.

I tried Transit Wal-Mart on my lunch and they still had nothing but revison cases there...and the pegs were full, so even if they have Wave 7 they won't put them out yet.

hey RED EYES and fellow joe collecting New Yorkers...i stopped by walmart over here in East Meadow today...of course they had nothing...but i had the pleasure of talking to the Toy Dept. Manager again and man hes pretty cool...i asked him when can that walmart be expecting more shipments...so being the nice guy he is he scanned the single carded figures and told me "no confirmed date however they are expected to get (im not sure if i heard correctly or i just forgot) 24 cases of single packs...and 16 cases of comic packs...completely blew our minds...also fellow Hiss Bros. he himself has had a few run ins with scalpers (dirty scondrols those scalpers are)...he has recently seen them take a bunch of figures and hide them in different aisles but he just goes and returns them back to the right spot...so thats another win for us (yay!)...but anyways just thought i'd report from the frontlines and have my fellow brothers hear some good news...

In any case I have spoken with a really cool guy in the toy aisle at that Walmart before pleanty of times. He hooked me up with their last Cobra Legions 5-pack set a few months back. He said someone hid it and he found it, so he gave it to me. He also said he couldn't wait to see that guys face when he returned for it.

By the way if anyone sees any local Target in Brooklyn, Queens, or Long Island stocked with Wave 7 please let me know. I want to pick up Spirt, Wild Bill, a Viper and a Hiss Driving using one of those 5 off coupons. I also like to have pleanty of figures to look over and choose the ones with the best looking paint and cards.

On my travels Jefferson Valley TRU at Mahopac had Wave 7.Nothing in TRU Danbury mall,but I have been stocking up on the new Indy Jones figures with the buy 2 get 1 free sale I left a Jungle Cutter in Danbury TRU.Walmart in Cortlandt Manor,Peekskill only had W4 Destro,W5 Snowjob and Scarlet and C.Commander and a crapload of the older comic packs

I think that I might finally break down and actually get into purchasing the vehicles. I was going to stick to figures only due to space, but I think there are a lot of cool vehicle releases coming up. I especially want those vehicle drivers. I'm still basically trying to focus on collecting whatever is a re-release of the original line. Like for instance I didn't want the Night Specter (because they are releasing a Sharc and Deep Six), but I wanted the Grand Slam. I didn't want the blue Hiss because they are releasing a black one. Luckily I picked up Grand Slam and Crankcase in a trade, but now I want a Awe Striker.

If anyone sees an Awe Striker at any Brooklyn, Queens, or Long Island Target please let me know. Maybe I can trade the extra Crankcase I get for a Grunt from the 3-pack to someone here on these boards.

I drove the 4 hour round trip to albany yesterday to take my son to the Deathnote movie, at Cross gates, and my wife would only let me go to the TRU in colonie(only cause she wanted to go to the Christmas Tree Shops accross the street) Of course, when i got there, there were NO single packs on the shelves!!!! toys r us in times square had a few cases but no major blood or baroness which prob missed out on since i got there around 12 but they did have a good amount of vipers about 10 .. 5 python officers 2 or 3 cobra commanders 3 snakeeyes 3 flints and roadblock i bought one of each just 4 vipers i was told maybe tommrow they will have more so ill prob pop there and hope to get lucky also k bee has the vvv figures snake eyes baroness dusty storm shadow and a bunch of cobras and the 25th figures they got 1 lady jaye a bunch of serpentors and buzzers and i think stormshadow

Time to start checking the Targets for Wave 4 comic packs. On the way home from camping up in the 1000 Islands region, the fiance and I stopped at the Watertown WM and Target. WM had 2 Vipers and a Hiss Driver. Target had no single figures, some older comic packs and 1 Firefly/Storm Shadow comic pack. So they have hit North Western NY. Be on the lookout!!!

Got back from my late night hunt yesterday and Middletown and Fishkill Walmart were stocked with plenty of that weird Wave 7 revision cases that has Zartan,Firefly,W4 Cobra Commander,Viper,Duke/Flag,Spirit,W5 Snake Eyes.Fishkill had I think about 4-5 cases I put all the Fireflies and Zartans on the top peg.Middletown also had 1 Titanium Man for the Iron Man fans

Man f that, I gave up hunting over a month ago. It all happened when I went to a target at 8 am and saw 12 other guys all talking about the new wave of gi joes. I said f it, and im just ordering them off the internet, its easier, sometimes quicker, cheaper in theory, and lets me sleep in and not have to deal with bull shit scalpers which we have here on li too. Everytime I see an old guy almost knock people over with a shopping cart i lose a little more faith in humanity. And the other li shoppers know what im talkin about. Its just not worth it this line is bs with shipments, and the way the store decides to put them out on the pegs. 1 case a week IF a store is lucky... 1 case has 8 figures, 8 figures in a wave, I call that bull shit on hasbros part, and on the stores part for not getting bigger shipments, its not like this line DOESNT sell, it sells out TOO quick, anyway, I still check stores IF i happen to be near one or pass it, but as for the pro active hunt? I say screw the hunt. Its not fun, its not part of the excitement, I like opening the toys and looking at them, not driving to 30 stores and spending $80 in gas and waking up at 7am to get home at 2pm, thats not fun, thats torture, and stupid imho, but i know alot of guys here feel differently, I say gl to those actively hunting and Ill still be on these boards cause thank god enough of you guys actually post when you find stuff:-p And of course Ill post when I find stuff on those rare occasions I get to the store

Found the new vehicles at the TRU in Albany today. Really like the Hiss and the Hiss Commander. They also had a few full cases of Wave 7 out. Looked like they got 2 cases of the vehicles. Clifton Park TRU had no new vehicles yet but also had about 3 full cases of Wave 7 on the pegs. The pegs were actually full for once! Also, any know whether there are different numberd hiss tanks? I don't think I have ever found anything 25th at the flatbush TRU when it came out or I wanted it. I have had better luck at the cesar's bay TRU, but only with exclusives.

-East Greenbush: 3 full cases of Wave 9, 2-3 cases of Wave 7, 1 full case of vehicles, and 1 full case of 12 inch figs. I left all there minus the BATS and Snow Serpents. Most of the W9 cards were pretty bent up.

-Brunswick: 2 full cases of Wave 9, 2 cases of Wave 7 and 2 cases of vehicles. I bought the 2 BATs, 1 Hawk and 1 BBQ. All others were still there as of about 11:30 am. today.

at $8 a figure I say just order them off line, wait, and remove the stress and hassel from your life, its what i did, and i even cancelled most of my preorders as this line is angering me to no ends. On top of that I came home the other day when it was like 93 degrees and half my figures i had standing up were knocked over with buckled legs which warped in the heat... partner that with the fact that GI Joe has become more costly then heroine and has become harder to find... its more aggrevation then fun

Scotia/Glennville Walmart had a bunch of figures today, Jetpack Duke, Vipers, Wildbill, Spirit, Snake Eyes, General Hawk, no BATs or Snow Serpents. Someone had pulled the goodies no doubt. Did score the new Indiana Jones lil DieCast vehicles though, kinda cool.

Man I just picked up the rest of the Wave 8 figures I needed at a few Stop & Shop's last week. I could have got a free figure, but I must have just missed it by being a few days early. Hopefully they will have Wave 9 in soon. I'm going on a hunt in about 4 hours so I shall see.
