Well persistence has FINALLY paid off lol. Stopped in TRU on Wolf Rd earlier because we were out that way. Noticed they got some joes in and it was the Wave 3 case. All were there, except Renegades SS of course. So I asked an employee to see if they had any others in stock. He said they showed 26 in stock but only 14 were on the pegs. He said he would check the dock to see if there were any cases. He came back with a fresh case of Wave 3!!! He said it was the very last case he checked on the dock. So I finally scored a SS in the wild (semi-wild lol) and picked up a Techno since it was BOGO 1/2 off.

They still have 3 TVs and at least 3 Renegades Cobra Troopers.

Also, the CVS on Wolf Rd has an Law and Order.

So now Im done until the movie stuff hits!

Congrats to CG23, Ray, RedEyes and everyone else who has been finding SS’s in the wild! Glad us NY’ers are finally starting to find the good stuff!! Now that wave 3 has hit our area pretty well hopefully it'll get easier to find wave 4, too. I know there have been various sitings around town but I'm hoping to find Lifeline, Sci-Fi and Airtight all at once sometime soon. :-)


I am going to pat myself on the back for not going and getting the Slaughters & Dreadnok exclusives (although I wouldn't mind the 'Nok one). Part of me really wants to ... but part of me is like ....eh...

In reading back a bit I realized I had meant to reply to you on this, Airborne. The way I look at it is, if us collectors don't step up and order these sets, clearly they're going to stop making them. And frankly, I thought the Dreadnok one was awesome (the Marauders one was good, too, but not great). So if you're on the fence and money isn't the issue, I would definitely encourage you to buy at least the 'Nok set. You'll get a good set of figures, and increase the chances they make more sets for all of us in the future. Just my 2 cents... :-)

Judging from the assortment I got to Middletown TRU a little too late.Must have been a wave 3 case there minus Storm Shadow.I took the Techno Vipers that was there left behind the Renegade Troopers they look too fugly for me.
Picked up 30th Vipers at Rite-Aid in Hopewell Junction and Poughkeepsie.Brewster Rite-Aid also has a 30th Viper and ROC Pit Commando I'll probably end up getting that Viper I can't resist them.CVS in Poughkeepsie has a Techno Viper for $16.49 lol.Picked up an extra AirTight at Poughkeepsie Stop and Shop.Other local Stop and Shops seems to be getting the latest wave but they only put out 1 figure at a time.Stop and Shop's also have Marvel Universe I even found a rare Lizard from the 3.75" Spider-Man line at Wappingers Falls Stop & Shop for those that collect Marvel.Price Chopper in Poughkeepsie and Newburgh saw some Jungle Vipers, they also have some older waves of Marvel Universe and comic packs.

Oh yeah and I didn't know at Stop & Shop they give you the item for free if it rings up the wrong price.When I bought AirTight I also got a Transformers Scourge which had a clearance tag for $10.04 but rang up 15.99 the GM manager gave it to me for free with some override code

Hit up that Toy Show at Holiday Inn on Wolf Rd in Albany today. They had a decent amount of vintage figs and vehicles. Some of the stuff was in really nice shape too. I scored a loose complete vintage Storm Shadow (v1), Tripwire and Doc and all have tight joint and minimal paint wear. The Storm Shadow is very white too with very little yellowing! Vert pleased with my haul.

Apparently Albany Comic Con is June 10 as well.

Trying to figure out toysrus' pricing logic is not worth the headache.
Its not like they need to raise prices to make a profit. They're the number one purchaser of most toy brands and given the heavy discounts that carries can easily make a profit by selling stuff at msrp. But they just want more money. The best example of this is their prices for LEGO where the charge upwards of 20 % more for the stuff just because they can.

Yeah and like I've already mentioned to you in a text it will cost us at least $12 in tolls just to get into NJ to check if we even have a shot at them.

Haven't been able to hit any Dollar Generals today, but I found a few **Retaliation** toys at the Glenville WalMart. They have a bunch of both motorcycles (I bought one of each). I found four figures and bought three of them -- Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow and Roadblock. The last figure left was another Storm Shadow. Any of you guys get the other figures?

One comment I have is the packaging looks a lot better than it did in the preview photos I saw. I don't know if they toned down the yellow coloring or what, but it looks pretty decent. Of course I still wish they had the typical Joe-style card art, but all in all it looks a lot better than I feared. Happy hunting!

Guys, I stoped byt he TRU in midtown Manhattan today to see if they had and Renegades figures marked down for customs and took a look at the Retaliation figures. The Cobra Commanders that they had today where Blue. They had black one last week. I picked up one of the blues but there is still one there if anyone is close. It was one of the only figures I wanted from this line anyway. Has there been any word on the color switch as far as which will be the dominant one or will they be distributed equally? TRU had the entire wave 1 except no Joe Trooper. Plenty of 3 packs, Hisstnaks and the 2 cycles. Forbidden panet on 14th has the Ghost Hawk.

Opened up the HISS Tank and Ghost Hawk and gotta say, as awesome as they look, they feel really cheap. Although, looking at the size of them for the price point, if feels as if they made them of cheaper plastic to lower the cost. And while I understand the price reasoning behind the 5 joint figures, they could have at least attempted to make them fit the vehicles properly. With the angling of their hands, it's impossible to actually have them hold the handles and do anything but bounce and slide around the cockpits.

This is a "street date", one in which Hasbro does not want the product out on the shelves until that date. Some place either don't pay attention, miss the street date printed on the cases or just don't care and put them out for sale. I have bought stuff at one WM and one TRU thus far

You should give the Palisades Mall Target a shot every Target I've been to had at least 1 case with the Ghost Hawk 2 and Hisstank.I'm probably heading to that Mall this weekend.You could always call them ahead of time to see if its in stock so you don't waste a trip

Picked up a blue Joe trooper at the WM in Rotterdam. They have all other figs there except a CC.

Picked up 2 tan Joe troopers at both the Clifton Park and Niskayuna Targets (thanks for the tip 13thwarrior!). Left all others at CP Target. Also picked up the 2 Cobra troopers and Red Ninjas from Nisky for another Tanker. The rest of the 2 cases were all there at CP. All CC's were black versions.

Picked up a Blue CC and a Red Ninja from the CP WM (Thanks Ben!)

TRU in CP had minimal Movie figs. They are doing a BOGO 50% off GI Joe though. Renegades/30th figs included.

KMart in Rotterdam Mall has some Fangboats and Ninja AWEs as well as motorcycles. No single figs, but pegs for them. $9.99 price point

Dollar General on State St in Schenectady still no Joes.

nabbed a SS from Target, left SE,and Rb...had 1 each of Fang boat, GHII and awe Striker.... wally glenmont, STILL 4 empty pegs (marked 6.89) has 2 onf the 10(?) inch se and Rb...called with the upc of SS, said that the two big figs is all they had? Hudson valley. Spring alley Target doesn't have retaliation figs. Just the big $20 figs, cycles, and other vehicles. No Hisstank.

TRU in Nanuet has play sets no figs or vehicles for retaliation. But bogo 50% off gijoe. I picked up two hazard vipers.

Thanks for this mate, I live right off of Lexington about 2 stops from Mary Arnold Toys. I'm very close to it, but funny enough, I never heard of it.....and I have been in the same spot for 6 years.

Sorry to have built your hopes up. I'm glad that they still had them in stock when you got there. I should have mentioned the price. Keep an eye on the Times Square TRU. I've seen Joe troopers come and go there. But at 12 dollars TRU isn't much cheaper than Mary Arnold.

yeah lol i completely forgot about that place i remember when i worked there was like 97 was when star wars pof was out their stock room is a horror show its down stairs lol but they did have some cool xmen figures a rogue that i wanted to buy but someone beat me to it when i worked there .

i found 2 red ninjas at forbidden planet last week . for 13.99 picked em up for the hell of it they did have all the figures since it looked like 2 fresh cases i just forgot to look for the joe trooper.
that cobra trooper is a ok figure not great but has potential to be a decent figure with some tweaking . sucks his ankles don't move but switch the gear to some black gear and maybe even re paint him a little . i prob will buy a few more when and if i see them again i might hit up target in jc again hopefully ill find em there again. also he is a little taller then the alley viper officer

also the swamp viper is pretty cool would be 100 times cooler if he had articulation

Shortfuse, Rock 'n Roll Breaker, and Snake Eyes. Later I got my Flint there and in '77 got my 12' Luke there as well. We couldn't find it anywhere but the owner ordered one for my Mom so I would get it for Christmas. There was another store in Brooklyn called City of Famous Bargains on Coney Island Av and Avenue U. When I was 9 the guy who ran the place hooked me and my brother up with Storm Shadow. The guy watch us looking through the figures and was laughing. He said, "You're looking for the Ninja aren't you?" We nodded like gimps. He pulled two out from behind the counter and told us that he kept them back there, so some clueless kid didn't buy them. He said they were for the real fans. I don't know what ever became of him or his store but it's gone now. If he was still there I'd buy everything from him.

On Sunday, Mid Town Comics on Lexington and 45th pretty much had the entire Retaliation line, if anyone is interested, including the GI Joe Trooper. Though, at $14 / pop, not really a good deal.

yeah i used to have woolworth thats where i got my first grunt and zap in the 80s but there were 2 small stores owned by chinese owners who had basically alot of the gi joes and sw and another store across the street from me and another down on houston street called somax's they used to have a butt load of joes all those stores closed down which sucks used to be cool to pass by them and get figures

got a Joe trooper at EG Kmart...he was tossed with the Thundercatsm, at the opposite end of the aisle than the Joe pegs...theres a blue CC, 2 Dukes, couple RBs, Cobra trooper...and a Zartan....9.99 USED to be typical Kmart overpricing..but seeing how thats the average price now...lol oh,and theres a ROC SS for the same price...lmao
