Bionic Commando, they have them at the Marshalls in the Capital District. By the Colonie Target Marshalls and the Niskayuna Target Marshalls.

Clifton Park Marshalls had nothing of much note. I'm looking for a Windcharger (I know, who isn't) and a Grapple. Big Lots has nothing of mention albany and Clifton Park. Well, Clifton Park did have the same old Comic packs they have had since before Christmas if that counts.

I snagged 2 Wreckgar (yes one is riding the other) and a Perceptor. Also snagged the Legends Prime, Megatron, Starscream and Prowl. All pretty cool.

If you're into Marvel Universe figures (I'm not usually, but I thought this was too cool to pass up) there were these large white boxes of Giant-Size X-Men 35th Anniversary 6-packs. Contains Wolverine, Storm, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Cyclops and Thunderbird for $38. I'd never seen or heard of these sets before, so I picked up a couple. Like 4 or 5 left if you care.

I'm from Suffolk county, on Long Island, I've been searching for the new waves like crazy at all of the local Walmarts, Targets, and TRU's....FINALLY today I found at the Target in Setauket, Shadow Tracker, Skydive, and Blowtorch! THat was a huge find! Ive seen nothing but Duke, Storm Shadow, and Artic Destro, with an occasional Dusty and Zartan thrown in for months! So it was a great day for me! Just when I'm ready to throw in the towel, I'll find something that makes me move forward :)

Gotta think with the price of gas its nearly $14 a figure when you actually find one. Last weekend I went out hunting. $60 in gas later... came home empty handed. I've been picking up Transformers lately, at least stores carry those. I remember back in the day when I worked for walmart, their motto was "Keep It Stocked" "If you stock it they will come" but it must be that is no longer the case as its been weeks since some stores have received new figures.

Soooooooooooo, i randomly hit up the Target in Medford.....and.....i found Crazy Legs! I had yet to see him! One TRU in my area is always chock full of Zartans, Snake Eyes and Dustys....another is full of Duke and Storm Shadow...Walmart has zilch...then one Target I found Blowtorch and the next I found Crazy Legs. And the best part???? I guess they just got him in because he wouldnt scan in her system...so the cashier called over a supervisor, and the supervisor told her to ring it in for $1.99!!! CRAZY!!! That type of luck just doesnt happen to me!!!

Now if only I could find Low Light, i'd be set.......

I would say, in my opinion, that someone is beating you to them, or workers at the store are holding the "good" (rarer) ones back for themselves... Skydive and Shadow Trakker are in one of the revision cases together so seeing them together with other "older" figs is not too unheard of. I have seen this at a couple of grocery stores up here. Blowtorch is a Wave 5er which is a harder wave to find as of right now. Seeing a single one could also have been someone bought a case, only wanted one and returned him to Target with a receipt since all the figs have the same DCPI #.

Connecticut GI Joe show is this Sunday June 26th. Its a good show and there is a little for everyone, 12", 3 & 3/4", Vintage, modern, Star Wars, Comic figures, Transformers, just about everything. They have a Facebook page, and I believe have done away with the website, but not sure. Just go to Facebook and search "Connecticut Joe Show" and it will come up.

The same store has also not gotten any new Marvel figures in months, and sporadic shipments of Vintage Star Wars. It seems like there might be a Hasbro shipping problem on LI....

Prices varied. I got some good deals on stuff I had been holding out on buying on ebay for a while, and glad I did. Prices were pretty close to whats available on ebay, but you obviously don't have to pay shipping so I would see that as a deal. There was also A TON of 3 3/4" at the show. I snagged a hooded Cobra Commander so I could transplant the new Cobra Commander helmet on it (its the same dark blue) for cheap, snagged a SDCC Sgt Slaughter for $40. Snagged a DVD battle Duke for $5, 5 Cobra Troopers from the same DVD battles set for $10 a piece. Also grabbed some Python Patrol Troopers from the Con set for $20 each. It was a cool show and it was cool to see the regulars roll through!

There actually pretty good. It's just they have certain workers there that raid the pallets before they hit the floor. I've gotten to know one of them and he hooks me up. Mostly Marvel Universe though. I just don't think Joes are even coming in. Or like I said they keep taking them.
Plus the Joes they have are the old UPC, so it's possibly that they just dropped the ball on getting the new stuff or their holding out for the 30th stuff. That goes for all TRU come to think of it. Valley Stream, Douglaston all of them just sitting on old stuff. Maybe a manager would have some answers.

I picked up Lowlight, Beachhead, and an AV for $2 a piece at WM. They were labeled $6.97 but when I got to the register with Lowlight, he rang up as $2. I went back a couple days later and checked on the other two and they rang up as $2 as well. I didn't see if the Shock Trooper they had was $6.97 or not. I assumed the revision case they put out had the older figs at the discounted price.

Latham Target has ... no lie.... almost 15 Artic Destros on the pegs. I was going to take a picture for shits and giggles but then I remembered... it has been like that for two months now.

Hey, guys, to make your hunt for the Skystrikers a little less painful, trying calling Target and ask if they have it in stock. Give them the DCPI # => 087-06-1686.

I've been hitting several Targets over the past several days, with no sign of them, not even space on the shelves for them. I finally called several Targets this evening. One didn't receive them yet, one had one left, but it was on hold for someone, and one had one left, which I placed on hold (and picked up 20 minutes later).

In the case of the last two stores, they were in the back, and both were stores I've visited in the past 48 hours that had no shelf-space/price-tag dedicated to them yet.

So save yourself some frustration...I think (at least in my area) there's a lot locked in inventory in the back of the stores. Employees were very helpful when I called with the DCPI # ready.

Just remember to share the wealth and leave some for your fellow collectors.

I can understand your frustration. I was able to snag a SS but that was all I could manage. I am sure that there are steps that could be taken to make the process better.

At the same time, I dunno. I mean, I knew from prior years that it was going to be a cluster-fuck. I have heard the Sarge stories. The venom aimed at MattyCollector when they offer exclusives. I knew that there were going to be a shit load of people trying to get the exclusives from HTS whether it be SS, Zarana, TFers, the IJ set or the SW set. I was of the mind that I am going to have a browser open, check it, and if I got lucky so be it.

Personally, I find it more frustrating not to be able to find a figure or vehicle on the shelf of a store. I was able to get a SS exclusive but can't find a Skystriker on the shelves? Those are getting bought before they are even out of the backrooms! I still haven't seen a POC VAMP in the wild.

That is an interesting debate. I wonder if it would hold true. Me, I think it is much more the notion that the figure is an exclusive ... that makes it more desireable and sells out quicker. I for one didn't think that Zaranna was all that great a figure. Sure the Cold Slither variant was fun, but I thought the overall look of the figure was bad. I didn't think that Sgt. Slaughter was all that great of a figure either.. but everyone seemed to want it.

Part of me thinks that if they put it out as part of a Wave, it would either peg warm along with the POC Jungle Vipers.

On a hunting note, I stopped in to the Tuesday Morning on Rt7 in Schenectady and picked up a MARS Trooper 3 pack for $8. They have one more set, a few ROC figs but no alpha vehicles.

If you don't mind me asking, why don't you fly? I have gotten over my personal fear of it to some extent. I still get some uneasiness but not as much as I used to. Regardless, no way I am ever getting to SDCC. It sounds like an incredible time, but also one big cluster-$uck of a mess.

Personally, I wouldn't get a Skystriker off of Ebay. Most Targets haven't even put them on the shelves, and it is a matter of fans/ scalpers just getting the employees to grab it from the back. I am expecting (and maybe being hopeful) that I will be able to get the one or two that I want off of a store shelf at some time over the next two months. If not, then history will repeat itself; I didn't have one as a kid, I won't have one as an adult.

There are bad seeds out there. The pegs full of Arctic Destros aren't Hasbro's or the store's problem - it's douches hording, not being able to sell, selling back what they didn't want - nothing more, nothing less. I will argue this with anyone. Figures that are Frankenstein creations is another issue at least in some areas. So someone buys an item. Takes what they want. Puts back whatever they don't want. Returns it for a refund or store credit. Essentially something for nothing and the store tosses it back on the shelf so that someone else can potentially buy .. an altered item. How is this not stealing? The WM in Albany had this problem real bad. I don't go there as much anymore so I don't know if it still is an issue. It seemed like when I did go there was always some mismash of a figure staring at me. Hell, I have even been the victim of it. Shame on me for not looking close enough / paying enough attention. Bigger shame on the douche who did it though.

So I called a local Target that was showing the SkyStrikers as In Stock online. I got a really nice woman who looked it up... saw that it was in stock ... and transfered me to toys. I got a kid who saw again that it was in stock, but couldn't figure out where it is. So he went and got the toy-manger / supervisor who pretty much said that the item is part of the X-mas push (or something like that) and might be out as part of the isle reset. So basically, call back in a month to see if it's out yet.

Now, I am not complaining (I used to work retail back in college and know how much of a pain in the ass it is) because everyone was really pleasent and helpful but WTF!

drove down to Clifton Park Target to snag one of those Crazy Legs figures. Figure is pretty cool. Looking at the package art, why doesn't he actually come with that weapon? Awesome figure tho, almost wish I had grabbed the second one, but he is still there if anyone needs him. Nothing at Scotia or CP Walmart stores.

Got the SDCC exclusive on friday :) The Cobra Commander figure is too cool to cram inside of the jet, so I took a hooded Cobra Commander and one of the helmets off the PoC Cobra Commander (perfect match of blue btw) and stuck him in the cockpit. Very cool exclusive, just wish I didn't have to resort to ebay to get one, but SO GLAD I got one either way. Awesome set!
