Mohegan Lake Marshalls.I bought the HOH Vipers the Snake Eyes' and Storshadow picked up a bunch of $2 25th Joes for custom parts some were marked $3 plenty of BATS,Ninja Vipers,Red Divers,Blue shirts plenty of $7 ROC vehicles they must have 3 big displays.I've never seen nice big displays like this in the regular retailers and now of all places Marshalls with big Joe displays.
Nearby Danbury,CT. Marshalls I bought the the HOH Vipers there too left behind HOH BATS I got one of those so called "gold viper" its really just yellow tarnish.Nothing good at the Walmarts next to both Marshalls

Hey Dmizrok, where did you find those? I haven't seen them anywhere (but then again I haven't been looking either).

Anyone else notice that some of the toy aisles have been bare lately? I would have thought that they would be restocking more often given the holiday season but it looks barren at times. I have a buddy who was looking for a Batman figure (any one) for his little son and he had a hard time finding anything. It struck me as odd given all the Batman: Brave and Bold that I usually see on the shelves.

Nothing indeed. I did snag one of the AV, and left the others behind (including a FF, and CC). It just didn't feel right not getting an AV, ya know? I did snag a WWH(ulk) figure as well. Although as much as I like the figure, he suffers from the POC Recondo neck issues - which is great if he is bigger than whomever is next to him, sucks if he is standing someone the same height (ie Colossus).

yahh midtown is a couple blocks south of times sq. They also have a store on the east side as well on 45th and Lexington. Not sure what ya mean y range in the tru but if you mean is it big then ya.

The Poughkeepsie TRU was nice and empty last night and of course they packed out the revision case with Alley Viper and new Marvel Universe wave 12 yesterday after the sale was over but I still got Spider-Woman and WW Hulk because of a glitch the sale was still showing up at the register.They also had plenty of those red Deadpool Marvel Legends that was being scalped and going high $$ on E-Bay I left behind the Alley Viper.

Seriously man I hope this isnt some lurker reading these boards that did this.I went to the Fishkill Walmart yesterday and they had the POC Vamp but it was repacked all jacked up tape on one side and the figure was replaced with some ugliest 80's Joe figure I have ever seen cant even tell who it was.So its definitely a Joe collector doing this and the Cobra Fury the window was just straight up cut open and the Alley Viper Officer was stolen.I gave them to a worker and told them what happened but she seemed to not care and looked like was going to put it back on the shelf when I told her not to.This is going to totally mess up someones Christmas if some grandmother picks that up on the last minute not knowing what it is and give it to some kid as a present.On to the sightings they had a revision case I hid the Alley Viper for Hudson Valley Hunter

Greetings from Mexico!!!! I had to run out for supplies at a Mega mart today, south of Puerta Vallarta, and took a chance at the toy section. As I mentioned before, I found every figure from the ROC line...very expensive down here. As I was walking away, I noticed a few bravo vehicles stashed away...I pulled them from their dark recesses and found a LAVA POD W VOLCANO VIPER, DESERT ROCK SLIDE W/DUSTY, and the POLAR SHARC W/ ICE STORM!!! Only 1 of each and $15us each. I grabbed them all. I'll keep checking for more through the next 2 weeks. And my local friends...keep a lookout for those SHOCK TROOPERS!!!! Someone had sliced the tape on each one. I checked one since it was already cut; brown. I figured the rest were brown as well.

I am not sure how I feel about this. Wasn't there a way to tell if it was black or brown? By the stamp date or something?

Anywho, I snagged an AV from Target on Wolf yesterday. WHY CAN'T I QUIT YOU. I was strong enough to leave behind the DCU Zatanna I saw at Walmart. It was tough though.

Targets in Brooklyn NY must have gotten Wave 3 in the last few days because I found remnants -- mostly Duke and Storm Shadow. Took the last Shock Trooper from Brooklyn Junction -- very surprised to find one remaining!

Picked up 2 Shock Troopers at the Niskayuna Target about a half hour ago. Only two they had. Left behind 1 SE and 1 Duke. Strange but there were no SS from that wave. Maybe they only put a few out and not the whole case? Shock Troopers are here for Christmas! Happy Holidays NY Tankers!!

I am from the capital district and parents live out in Cooperstown. As far as options go the Albany area is nice but now living here in North Jersey we have it all. Check TJ Maxx, Marshalls etc. website and you will see that there are a minimum of 25 each in a radius of the Capital District. We have just as many TRU's, Walmarts and Targets aswell. Just sayin

Atlantic Center Burlington Coat Factory in Brooklyn had the RoC Walmart 2-pack "exclusives" Had a bunch of each (maybe 4-5): Gung-Ho/Copperhead, Tunnel Rat/Monkey Wrench and Shock Blast/Night Creeper.

Snagged myself a complete set for $7.99 each.

Marshalls in the same center had nada. Just a Night Raven for $39.99.

A couple kick-action SEs, a Dusty and a Zartan. The oddly placed figs on the endcap were gone too. Something else is on that endcap now.

Really? I think they are pretty cool figures that have a lot of equipment which allows you to have multiple looks. I wish more of the Cobra troop builders were like this. For instance. Say they had the Cobra Bazooka, Infantry, Officers, Vipers etc with a few more accessories so that they all didn't look exactly the same. Or at least consider releasing an accessory pack like they used to.

Maybe that is just not a possibility with a line so "new".

Dunno, I remember Venom vs Valor (VvV) and snagging up stuff I thought was so cool, then that feeling faded rather quickly. After the 25th run I might just be tired out. Granted this stuff is leaps and bounds better than the vvv fodder but I still can't help but feel it will be a passing faze for me and can't be bothered with it. Snake Eyes from wave 3 looked true enough to the original with some little updates that I would bite and I'm glad I did. Its a great version of that figure and I'm not a big Snake Eyes Storm Shadow fan.

I have two brown HISS and that was going to be my limit, however, when I heard about the black version I wanted just one. Ok, who am I kidding, for the right price, I would get more. Other than WM though, I don't think I have seen the Bravos anywhere and when I do, none have that 02 stamp date. It is frustrating when you read about all these black HISSes being found at ROSS for 15 bucks!! I would pay full retail!

W4 really is great. I haven't opened Predator or Robot-man yet but damn Low Light and Destro are pretty f-ing sweet. I hate to say that my only complaint with LL is that his gun mounts don't really fit anywhere.

I know what you mean. I just got five trouble bubbles (the blue ones) for $33 bucks on Ebay. I thought it would be sweet to have this little assult team. When I got them though, I was frustrated. I never realized how the seat clip (that holds the figures) is a pain in the ass for most of the newer figures because everyone has a vest of some sort. Plus I forgot how fragile they can be in the first place. For me, unless it is a really good deal, I might be done with Joes until the next wave comes out.

On the topic of Ross... I mapped out the closest and there are 3 with in 15-20 miles of each other about 30-45 mins south of Binghampton... Was gonna do a day trip back when the Stingers were spotted but never made it because they showed up at TRU Express.

I think that they got one of those shipper packs and put them out only a few at a time. I got 2 STs on Christmas eve and you got a SE and Duke. Then they had nothing for quite a while. Then 13thwarrior got a ST there and I picked up 3 STs for Dmizrok there. That totals 6 STs. I believe the shipper packs have 5-7 of each figure. So they may have put them out a few at a time IMO.

Hey Guys..Moving next week, and came to the realization that I do not have room for my large gi joe comic collection.. I've got comics from the 80's,90's, through current.. A lot of them, not all perfect... but I'm gonna let em go very easily.

im looking for pretty much anything from like 25th and on..im just not willing to pay outrageous for em you know? i found quite a few at marshalls for 4 a pop and that was just awesome..and ever since then ive been looking in any marshalls i see..i did notice walmart and target dont ever have any of the 25th or the hoh...just the POC

Welcome to the Tank, Heath! I'm not up in your area, but since you are new to collecting here's some things to expect:
-the big retailers only have newer product. You might still get lucky at TRU with ROC or some really leftover 25th stuff on clearance.
-Walmart is being really anti-Joe right now. Most LI Walmarts aren't even stocking any Joe product. I was lucky enough to find a new VAMP in Riverhead right before X-mas
-Marshall's and TJMaxx is the best bet to find some stuff at great prices (as you've seen). Because of the nature of those chains, it can be hit or miss, but I usually find stuff at any of those. The HOH was plentiful at these stores before Christmas, so you might luck out at 5.99 each.
-As you become more familiar with this sight, be sure to check out members' BST (Buy-Sell-Trade) posts. You may be able to make a deal and not drop a pretty penny.

I am on the fence about the Cobra Commander Starscream. Its cool, but I don't know. Its a jet I don't have room for, a kitbashed Cobra Commander who's helmet I have plenty. The Megatron pistol is cool but I I already have 2 of the Marauders version which is pretty cool. I mean, its a really cool set I'd like to get, but it really should be displayed properly.

Ok, I just went through all the pictures of TF2011... and wow. I think that there are a lot of nice looking figures (the Resolute CC, all of the Vipers / troop builders, Zarana) ... but others just looked odd.

Crazy Legs & Blowtorch - were these necessary? There was already a 25th of Blowtorch, and I never knew that Crazy Legs was all that popular.

General Hawk - Um... doesn't really look like Hawk IMHO, just some average Joe.

Croc Master - Why? Again, we just had a 25th anniversary figure.

It seems like Hasbro is going to be giving us a lot of Cobra troop builders, but not a whole lot of Joes... which is fine... but I can think of about a half dozen Joes I would have rather seen in place of some of these figures.

I like the Skystriker (despite the one seat) but don't understand the VAMP MK II ... which looks exactly like the POC. As least the HISS is red.

Overall? I prob will be spending more $$ than I should

I just picked up the Ghost Hawk at Wal-Mart. Honestly, it is not a bad vehicle. I like some of the modernization of it and the question I have to figure out the answer to ... is whether or not the additional missle and machine gun can be attached to the POC HISS because if they can be... I might grab one or two more or see if I can snag those pieces off of Ebay or something.

I think that you both encountered one of the revision cases. That's why there were Shock Troopers and AVs as well. It seems that the Wave 4 case (4x each of Destro, Skydive, Lowlight and Shadow Tracker) has "skipped" retail... Other people have posted similar findings as well minus the Destro and Tracker. This could be bad too considering the Wave 4 (2011 Wave 2) Destro is not in either of these revision cases. Check out BBTS:

Nothing new but alot of old.I have been going to different Marshalls and buying all the Iron Grenadier/Viper comic packs for $3 a piece.I'm up to 12 now don't really need the new POC Vipers since they still look the same.Also been picking up the rest of the ROC figures for $2 a piece for parts

TRU on Wolf Rd. put out a revision case---I took the 2 Shock Troopers and left an AV, Lowlight, and Skydive....
