I received my Boba Fett in the mail today, in a post office bag! Inside this bag was a crushed box, a destroyed figure card, and a figure which had been removed from any and all packaging!! I got lucky with my mail away Docs and Qui Gonn, but come on!!!

We as collectors know if somethings repacked, but the holidays are coming. Some parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle is going to be buying toys, and some kid is gunna end up with crap because someone in the capital region is an asshat. Someone had grabbed the other two Jungle Vipers as of 830 sunday night.

I honestly cannot voice my hatred towards repackers enough. It is such a scumbag thing to do. Essentially this a-hole is getting something for nothing. Taking what they want, returning the rest, and getting their money back on top of it - not to mention the f-ing over of the next person who buys it. I put some blame, but not a majority, on the store because they should really be a little less willing to take back crap without looking it over / examining it thoroughly.

Having said that, what goes around comes around. I hope these repackers have all their precious toys destroyed in some appropriate manner.

was supposed to have second interview with big box retailer in Utica area on friday. 30-45 minute drive for me. get there and a dept manager tells me that the store manager is tied up in an emergency conf call and that he cant meet with me. i said ok, i'll be in the area for a little while give me a call if he gets free. hour goes by and my phone rings- can you come back, he's available now? so i go back only to have the same guy i already talked to tell me that the manager is still not available and that he's going to interview. spend a half hour with him after which he goes to check if the manager is free yet- he's not. says i'll get a call to set up another interview. didnt hear anything for the rest of the day nor have they called today.
i am more than a little frustrated. i really need a job and thought that it would be great to work at this place.

The figure looked to be whole (not chopped up or pieced together). I believe it was a Valor VS. Venom Scalpel. He had a gun and a few of his blade accessories, but I don't think he was "complete".

Got the POC Wave 2 alpha and bravo vehicles in the mail today from HTS. They are all pretty cool! Especially like the Fury and Vamp. THe Ice Cutter is cool too. The AWE Strike is nothing new, but the mud and weathering looks good.

After searcing through all the figs...the last one I checked was a Clear Mercenary Wraith!!! Mint card!! Thanks CG23 for posting your find!

Thanks to CG23's find at TJ Maxx, I decided to stop in the one in Saratoga....They had just put out 4 boxes of 25th Joes, waves 10 and 11. They are hanging on 2 end caps. After searcing through all the figs...the last one I checked was a Clear Mercenary Wraith!!! Mint card!! Thanks CG23 for posting your find!

Stopped by the the CP Big Lots ... they had a lot of the comic packs CC/TripWire, HM / SE, BH / MF, SI / WB, TR / Ninja. I also stopped at the Marshalls. No five-packs, but they had some 25th (Airborne, Mutt, CG PP, Cobra Officer, Buzzer, a Cobra Diver along with some of the vehicles - Ice Dagger, Dragonhawk, Snarler.

Went to POK Wal-Mart on my lunch break at 10:00pm (I work 3rd shift) looking for the new vehicles. I was surprised and happy to find one Ice Cutter. Then I realized someone had taken out the driver and replaced it with a 25th Snow Serpent. I bought it anyways but I am pissed. This figure is actually better but it’s the point.

Also I see on the beck they have what looks like the ROC Snow Serpent instead of the Snow Serpent with the red gear that I have seen in all the Ice Cutter pics on the web. Not sure what the deal is there.

ok, Clifton Park Marshalls has the Desert set and the City Strike (resolute) Snake Eyes wave, Walmart Scotia has an Alley Viper...to find it look up and to the left behind the CORPS 2 packs. They also had Jungle Vipers and the usual fodder. Someone snagged that last Artic Set from Marshalls in Nisky.

So, I came home from the CT Show with a Cobra Commander Bust and the following loose vintage Joes that are all tight, and save the Crimson Twins (they have a little paint wear, but tight) have great minty paint: V1 Cobra Commander ( :) !!!!!!!!!!!!), Cobra La Trooper and Recondo. All only $5 each. Grabbed a Falcon for my buddy. Also snagged a GIJOE Club 3 3/4" AT Figure for only $10! Also snagged some 1/6 custom fodder for some fantastic prices.

There was a lot of cool stuff, and not just Joes. There were some other toys I haven't seen since I was a kid.

Next show is the spring show: March 6, 2011. You cats should plan on making it!

Actually saw an Alley Viper in Oneonta WalMart last week but couldnt get it at the time. Went back yesterday and of course it was gone.
I'm still not crazy about them so I've been trying to figure out some tweaks for the two that I have. Maybe swap out the torso (my biggest complaint).
With the Shock Troopers coming out I'm inclined to use these as a class of Iron Grenadiers instead of Cobra's urban troops.

Had to go downstate for a few days. Spotted the Wave 2 Alpha vehicles at the Target at the Galleria Mall in Middletown (I believe) as well as at the WM across the street. Picked up an additional Ice Cutter. For you Tankers down there, Both WM and Target have 1 Ice Cutted and 2 AWE's. Hopefully they will hit the Capital Region soon. The TRU Express in the mall had nothing Joe-wise except ROC Night Ravens. The TRU near WM had several JV's, Recondos, Spirits and QK's.

Poughkeepsie TRU-
They put the sign of 50% off G.I. Joe Bravo vehicle on the POC Hiss and Wolfhounds instead of ROC vehicles so I picked up another for $12.49 each.They did have the new Ghostbusters 2 set in on Friday night but sold out already on Sat. when I checked again.
Poughkeepsie Marshalls now has a lot of G.i. Joe plenty of the 25th vehicles,25th Hall of Heroes only a handful was left like Flint,Storm Shadow,Zartan which I don't need since I have a million versions of them the only thing I wanted were the Chrome Vipers but were gone of course.Plenty of ROC stuff too they are all on a endcap

Found (and bought) a single VAMP at Clifton Park Wal-Mart. There were two Furies, though. Left them both.

They also put out more Wave 1 figures, including two (yes two!) Alley Vipers still on the pegs (also included a CC, Firefly, and the rest of the Wave 1 gang).

Check out your Marshalls folks. I snagged three BATS, two ROC Desert Vipers, HOHer's Flint, Zartan, and SS. There was plenty to find at the ones I went to.

Walmart in Newburgh - I picked up the Cobra Fury left behind the Joe Vamp.They had plenty of filled toy pallets last night but I didn't feel like opening the cases.There was about 2 more cases of the Bravo wave 2 which contains the Fury and Vamp,about 4 cases of the Alpha wave 2 which has the Ice Cutter and Desert AWE and 4 cases of singles marked wave 2 rev. 3? which I never heard of its either the revision cases with Alley Vipers or wave 3 with Shock Troopers either way someone will be happy when they unpack this later today or tomorrow.Also really weird on my way out of the Poughkeepsie TRU went to the Stop & Shop next door and there was 1 lonely Alley Viper just hanging on the peg mixed in with some old ROC and 25th Joes weird of course I gave him a new home :)
