Was at New Hartford TrU this afternoon- no new stuff (vehicles or figs) just pegs full of Arctic Shippy & Doc as well as some RoC warmers. Bought 2 Desert Ambush Dukes and an Arctic SE
Stopped at the Target across the street hoping to find some clearance stuff but it was G-O-N-E! Did have 1 Alley Viper, 2 Dukes, 1 of each Mech and 2 each of the Skyhawk and Drednok bike. Bought the Alley Viper and left the rest.

Ha!! I stopped in @ 9am and nothing was on the shelves! I figured Tuesday morning was going to be the time to hit...foiled again!!!

On another note- I hit the CP Target @ 12 and scored an AV, CC, FF, BH, JD...and did NOT grab SS! The CC is on a minty fresh card! These figures look awesome...better than their Resolute counterparts!!!!

Scotia/Glennville got in wave 1 PoC tonight. Picked up Cobra Commander and an Alley Viper. $10 a pop but what the hey. I'm weak. I'll probably just return stuff from my case I don't want and it'll work out. Kinda killed me to do it. They also had Alpha vehicles Wave 1. It was buried under a pallet and I wasn't in the mood to dig. As it was there was almost a fight in the line at the register...lot of crazy people there at night as of late.

What did the Flash Gordon figure look like? That seems odd because ... I can't understand what "line" he would be from. Wait. Was it modeled (or look like) the Alex Ross movie version? That's the only thing I can think of.

I vaguely remember seeing them in Previews a while back, maybe to commemorate the movie's X anniversary. I definately remember seeing a white t-shirt version. I think he came with that football-looking device.

Toys R Us in Colonie had a bunch of wave 1 figures including an Alley Viper, Firefly and Cobra Commander. I didn't notice either of the exclusives, though. They also had two each of the alpha vehicles.

It seems like I am hitting all the stores right after you bastiches visit them! :P I swear. For instance, I was in TRU in Colonie .. yesterday and got a Spirit. Today they supposedly have the Wave 1 out!?? I hit the Target in Latham yesterday.. nothing... today Wave 1 leftovers of Duke and SS.

You know, that's part of the problem IMHO. Duke (to me) will always be the smiling guy in the yellow / tank shirt. I mean, that original figure was smiling! No other job to that point had a smile (IIRC). To see these more stern looking, different attire wearing versions... it just seems off.

It is a departure from the original for sure. He is still a cool figure though. I can't help but think if he didn't have the wrap on his head that he would look darn close to a cartoon version of Duke from the 80's. (maybe with a case of constipation). With any luck we will one day get a decent version of the v1 Duke.

Definately a cool figure. My only issues were the head-band and the arm paint. Never have been a fan of the skin paint. Everything else is terrific.

FYI - I just ordered FF and CC from Hasbro's site. I hit two Wal-Marts and a Target today and found nothing. I figure I might be paying S&H but whatever. Now it comes down to finding AV's.

Just checked tonight after work.I mus.t have spent about $12 recently on gas just checking on different stores for Alley Vipers.I'm so stubborn I just recently won an MOC Alley Viper on E-Bay for $12 shipped by Fed-Ex which means that seller made no profit and probably lost some money after E-Bay's fees.I really didn't want to pay $12 but looking back thats the same amount I spent on gas coming out empty handed.

Scored a lone Alley Viper at the TRU in Clifton Park today. Lots of 'leftover' figs and lots of both Alpha and Bravo vehicles. Nothing of mention at the following places; Target CP, Target Saratoga, WM Glenville. WM in Saratoga has a Cobra Commander AND a Firefly as of about 5 pm today. Also lots of every vehicle. At least 4 HISS Tanks there.

Also I have an extra Cobra Commander MOC (card not mint but near) if anyone wants him...

Everything else is there including the Cobra Commanders...my liking of this figure is fading fast. the Chrome face is cool, but its just not really CC. maybe if there was a smooth chrome faceplate to go over this it could pass as an early prototype for his faceplate but...yeah, not gunna grab anymore of these. I think my Alley Viper quota is now full. So whatever I get here on out is for you cats. LMK what #s ya need and I'll see what I can do. But I think Walmart is the place to check saturday.

I scored an Alley Viper on Friday the 13th :D It was at the Poughkeepsie TRU checked after work.Looks like they got in 2 cases.The Cobra Commanders were missing but everything else was there and the Alley Viper was just scattered on the shelf surprised it was left behind.Walmart in Newburgh finished their reset the aisles look so neat.They had 1 case but the Alley Viper was already missing when I checked but all else was untouched including the Cobra Commander.No restock at the Fishkill Walmart and no restock at the Poughkeepsie Target only Mechs came in.

Walmart in Newburgh is overflowing in POC.They have so many of the vehicles and singles.Last time I was there they put out one case and I had a feeling they had more of course they did about 6-7 cases worth.I only found 1 Alley Viper that the Newburgh dude thats is always there whenever they unload the pallets at night must have overlooked plenty of everyone else just filled full on the pegs.

No figs at all at Colonie Target or Washington Ave WM. Colonie TRU has the usual leftovers. Nisky Target no longer has the 3 lonely Dukes; they are gone but now there is a Beachhead and a Storm Shadow.

Now for the shenanigans. Had to hit Rotterdam WM for some essentials. They haven't had any POC as of yet but it doesn't hurt to look... Hit the toy aisle and spot a Cobra Commander lying on the shelf under the 82 million Star Wars figs and 100 million hampster warrior things they have. So I scan the action fig aisle and no other POC figs. I scour the entire toy section-nothing. So I return to the Cobra Commander and take a closer look. I noticed that the top of the bubble was jaggedly cut open and the head stolen. My theory: someone bought this CC elsewhere, stole the head and returned it to Rotterdam WM who doesn't even carry the line. Sweet...

BTW if you were wondering, I did scan the CC on a price checker and it rang up just fine. So POC is in their system.

So I got up early because I had some errands to run. Ironically ... or luckily I suppose... I could get them done in Clifton Park. So I stop at Target around 9ish. BOOO-YA-KAAAH!

Snagged Recondo, Dusty, SE Ninja Commando, Destro, Zartan and 2 JV. There were a few more of each (except the JV, sorry)and some remaining POC W1 figures (non-popular ones of course read - no AV, CC, FF) left.

Overall, POC W2 looks nice. My quick thoughts.

Recondo - He isn't the classic Daniel LeClaire, but he isn't a bad modernization. I like how he comes fully stocked but some of the "attire" looks odd. Like would a jungle trooper be wearing what appears to be a heavy vest with a one sided shoulder pad? Picky I know.

Dusty - Never was a big fan of the original, don't mind this updated version, but WTF is up with the barb-wire?

SE NC - Eh. Not a bad figure, but why the armor if you are a ninja?

Destro - Huge surprise. I like the figure and the accessories. The colors IMHO do not look that bad and are muted nicely. The only other character that might have been nice for the arctic look might have been Bludd or Baroness, but why have figures of them before Destro?

Zartan - Not bad, but I don't understand the falcon really or the notion of not giving him another face *like his old bearded one* to pass as a "civilian". Decent though, especially giving a good reason for the "hood".

JV - They look awesome and I can't wait to open one up, unforunately that won't be for a while because I got stuff to do this weekend. I think two might be enough for me. Maybe one more. I can't see army building - like the AV or ST with this figure. Granted I have never been an army builder per se, but in the above cases, I would prob grab them if I saw them - even if it meant to help out other 'tankers.

Anyway, hope you guys have some luck.

I forgot to post on Friday that TJMaxx in Rotterdam mall got in some comic packs for $6.99, 25th singles (Destro, Scarlett) and had the ROC Night Raven for $19.99 which I grabbed. I grabbed the Viper/IG, CC/Gung Ho, Deep Six/Rock-n-Roll Comic packs. Left the Beachhead/Mainframe and Hardmaster comics along with the Destro and Scarlett.

Today @ 8:30am, Target at Atlantic Terminal Brooklyn: Wave 2 has hit -- about 3 case. Some hoarder took ALL the jungle vipers before I got there. Picked up Destro, Recondo, Dusty, Zartan, and yes even Snake Eyes Thunder Pants. About 2 to 3 of each figure left on the pegs -- which were full! (but not with jungle vipers -- thanks hoarder!)

Target Poughkeepsie yesterday restocked on wave 2.I checked around 6:30 pm and found the new leftovers no Jungle Vipers or Recondo.Picked up a Dusty

Not in NY but on the border by Danbury CT. going through I-84
Bethel Target found a gold mine of wave 2 around 9:40 pm last night about 5 cases overflowing the pegs.Looks like some dude had a field day with Jungle Vipers as they were the only ones missing but a worker there was packing out another case so I took the 2 from it.Plenty of everyone left including Recondo and more in stock in the backroom I checked the scanner.I'm going back to get more of Dusty.

Nisky Target was destroyed when I stopped last night at 930. Was thinking about another Zartan for that head with the stocking cap. They had none, which was fine cuz I spent a little too much at the bar afterward.

Do you mind me asking where you are looking / shopping? I ask because I feel that I am "upstate" (living in the Albany / Sch'dy / Troy area) but when talking with other NY'ers, I get told that we are "midstate" and not true "upstaters". Of course these are all people who live north of the Tri-city area. OTOH, if you talk to anyone in NYC about where you live, they think it's nothing but farms and cattle.

i was there last week and they didn't have much of anything, Herkimer is even worse. I've picked up Beach Head, Snow Job, Dusty, Zartan & Spirit from the new stuff, thats probably gonna be it for me until they release the next wave. So I go to walmart just to check what was left of wave 2. I see a card back just below the pegs behind some merchandise. It was for beachhead, but the rest of the packaging and figure were gone. That one from the Wrecking Crew you saw is actually the leader called "The Wrecker" lol he's the only one single packed.Walmart has been getting that wave which is the wave just before the Captain Britain wave.
