I hope the Joe movie is good... But with how BAD Transformers was, I will not hold my breath. I would hope alot of these movies would stick to the original story. I heard that Greatest American Hero is coming out soon :) I've heard rumors about Green Lantern, a new He-Man, Power of the Dark Crystal and Ghost Rider 2. ( I just hope the Director and writers do research and stick to the original 80's, with the looks and the origins of HOW IT WAS)

off the list, TF2.
Don't care about Voltron much or Thundercats at all, and while i'm not one of the boards movie-bashers i don't really trust Stephan Sommers much. I enjoyed the first Mummy in a "Indiana Jones-lite" kinda way, but everything he's directed since has been pretty crappy.

Definitely "G.I. JOE", as well as "Bedtime Stories" because Russell Brand is in it. :)

It's off the poll, but Friday the 13th. It's 80's inspired.
I want to hear more about Ghostbusters 3 before I get too excited

I LOVED VOLTRON!...i want to see that in a bad way...now if both Joe and Voltron were both preproduction and we didn't know tha Joe was f'ed up, i'd pic Joe, but knowing what i know now, definately Voltron...tha theme song gave me goosebumps when i was a kid and still does...i actually bought a new Voltron tee yesterday...

Really? Did they rewrite the script?
Just messing with you. It is just much more childish than I remember. I have all of GI Joe Sunbow & DIC, Transformers and Robotech, and, for the most part it all holds up. My wife & I were all excited when we saw Voltron on Boomerang that we tuned in and our mouths dropped by just how bad it was.

All I am saying is Go Lion is to Voltron What Macross is to Robotech. That and Go Lion is Bloody!

I voted for Transformers 2!
I don't have any faith in the others. This is Hollywood were talking about here. When do they ever get it right? No matter how close they get they NEVER hit the mark!
Just imagine how stupid a live action Thundercats movie will look. Beast from X-Men looked ridiculous, now imagine the entire cast looking that godawful stupid. Remember Ice-T in Tank Girl?
GI Joe looks terrible. Snake-Eyes in a rubber muscle suit? Baroness is horribly miscast. I'm expecting it to blow!
They'll never get a Masters Of The Universe movie done right. Hell, they can't even manage the toy line, forget about a movie!
Voltron & Robotech? I'm thinking Thunderbirds. Remember how badly they screwed up the Thunderbirds live action movie?

I'm not really excited about any of the upcoming movies. I picked Transformers 2.
I'm looking foreword to Voltron mainly because they will no doubt release a toy line for it, hopefully in the same scale as G.I. Joe. Same with G.I. Joe, but also to see Snake Eyes and Storm shadow fight.
Thundercats I can't get excited for from what I read about it being live action.

You know you can order a CD of the Voltron soundtrack from voltron.com. It's in their webstore, or it was. Not very expensive, like $14. Don't know how much shipping is, though.
I guess of the ones selected, I choose Transformers 2 since I already know basically what to expect. I've no opinion on Thundercats (didn't even know that was being made...) and the rest I feel more a sense of dread about.

Originally I read it was going to be live action, which now that I think about it would have been good due to Cheetara being live action, but Wikipedia is saying it's going to be CGI. ThunderCats - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thundercats#Movies)

yeh that could work really well-mind you imagine some cool prosthetics and a 300 style and it could be done live action maybe (might have to change some of those costumes tho!)

I'll stick with this year and next year:
Punisher War Zone
The Watchmen
Wolverine
Quantum of Solace
Transformers 2
GI Joe
Star Trek
Terminator Salvation
I must admit I am scared though re: the joe film. Don't everyone kill me at once but, I just got a bad feeling (like i did with Spider-man 3 and all of the Batman abominations by schumaker). I hope I am wrong.

It's a tie between TF2 and the Joe film, I fear Voltron will end up a cheesy version of itself like the Thunderbirds movie or Go Speed Racer ended up being which was no biggie since I wasn't a big fan of those series, but Voltron I actually like and fear what they'll end up doing to it. *sigh*

Even though I'm really lookig forward to G.I. Joe, I have to put Transformers ahead, because that is at least close to the original intent of the series.

I agree it had problems, but it was at least close in intent and design to the original series. I have issues with all the cars being GM, but at least most of the characters were recognizable.
