Hey everybody, these last couple of days have really sucked reading the boards with so much animosity and back and forth bickering. I'm sure it would have been that much more painful if I had not finally secured wave 2 and 3 myself, and someone else had not informed the board on how to ignore certain posters.

Anyways, about this thread, what are posters thoughts about the Indiana Jones license? Will they be in the 25th style? Will it do well and last a while? Is there a chance people will be Nazi army building? I dont think Hasbro will be making Nazi action figures but I was curious about what others thought seeing as how they play such a large part in the movies.

Why wouldn't they make any Nazi figures? I'm sure we will be seeing Dietrich and the Nazi mechanic as action figures next year. I am excited about this line and will be buying all of the figures from the original three movies for sure. I'd love to see a Short-Round, a Thugee guard, Mola Ram, Henry Jones Sr, Vogel and a Marcus Brody figure!!

Sorry, had to be done. :D

I'd like to see some Indiana figs as well, even with the Nazi's. It's just a movie to me. They will need someone to face off with. BBi has some German toys already out there.

My bad I didn't know about the german BBI toys. I thought maybe it was taboo to have children playing with plastic ss.

The pic's they showed of the 3 3/4 Indy figure's back at SDCC, looked like the figure's would be super-articulated like the current SW figures, err the ones with ball jointed heads, arms, legs, etc... And I gotta say, I was impressed of what's coming from the Indy line.

Yeah SS *edit death squads* would be a seriously off, but I don't think any of the sets are those. Definitely a difference in history between WWII SS German soldiers vs. the nicknamed SS death squads though. Death squads obviously slaughtered innocents who were not armed and not military. Please don't think i'm a sympathizer.

I think there were some regular SS characters in the Last Crusade though...

If they can come close to what they've done with the 25th line, then the Indy figures could be GREAT!

I hope they don't look too cartoony or pre-posed.

I'd love to have some cool 3 3/4" Indy figures!

did they ever establish in the movies that those were Waffen SS and not regular infantry? either way, you can't make the line without the German characters. think they were well to entrenched in the story for not even one to make it in the 30 figs, hasbro is talking about.

you know im watching the making of right now and i dont think they did. youd have to be some sort of expert to see that their uniforms were ss.

The reason I assumed they were SS was because it was the SS under Himmler who were chiefly responsible for the mythological and paranormal research.

that they were, I only ask because its been awhile since I've seen the films. I think the main Nazi in Last Crusade had the deaths head insignia on his uniform, but I'm not sure about rank and file soldiers. though if the movies are historically accurate the SS didn't have combat divisions when the Indy films take place. though they did have security forces at the time so that could be it. I always figured the fodder troops in the movies were the Afrika core.
