Your top 10 toy moments in 2011

What were your top 10 in toys this year?

1. S.H. MonsterArts Godzilla, preorder and arrival. All good and most likely my favorite toy in 2011.

2. Imperial Forces 3 pack. Allowed me to finally get an IG-88, a great troop builder and an extra Bossk.

3. Vikor. (thanks to Roshan) My introduction to MOTUC. I absolutely love this figure and it reignited the love for my 1st toy line ever...MOTU.

4. Galactus. I'm pretty hit or miss with MU but this was just awesome.

5. Gentle Giant 2-1B bust. My gift to myself for starting my new job back in June. A great bust of the Surgical Droid but more for what it signifies.

6. Transformers Battle In Space. Rodimus/Cyclonus--I couldnt find this anywhere. The day after my band played a great show I found one hidden in Kmart by total accident, great set, great toy memory.

7. Dreadnoks preorder on bbts....finally!

8. Finding MU Thanos and clear/phasing Vision at Target together.

9. Getting Mecha King Kong from BBTS at a clearance price.

10. Skystriker.

This is tough. I'm not great on dates, so some of these might have come out prior to 2011, but these are MY top ten in 2011.

1.) Renegades Tunnel Rat: yeah, he takes the top spot, above Renegades SS. I just love the execution, the gear, everything. It nails the cartoon look while making it something that fits in with the other Joe stuff. I love this figure.

2.) MOTUC Battle Cat. I cannot express how amazing this cat is. The articulation and attention to detail is amazing. And it feels like its worth the money, if thT makes sense. It's heavy is what I'm saying.

3.) POC Snake Eyes v3-possibly the most perfect actin figure ever made.

4.) SDCC Zarana-just a fun, beautiful looking figure.

5.) Vikor-as much as I love the MOTUC line, I could probably own just this figure and be happy. Despite the fact that he isn't a core character, his execution is perfect and his gear is BA.

6.) 30th Skystriker-a buddy of mine had a prototype in hand about a month before these hit retail and I was literally awestruck. It was amazing. And the retail version improved a few things, making it an amazing update. I love this toy.

7.) NECA TMNT figures-these are a few years old, for sure, but I didn't get them until last year. And they are so amazing. These are what I wanted my turtles to be when I was a kid. They're nicely articulated, the faces are unique and they are beyond fun.

8.) my Pink Elite Viper army-you know the cancelled ROC Flight Pod that showed up at ROSS? I troop built the shit out of the pilot. 33 of them now. And it's amazing.

9.) Clone Wars Commander Colt-the perfect CW ARC trooper.

10.) All AmeriCon 2-took my 3yo son to this and it was fantastic. It was a toy/comic show aNd it was fairly small but watching him enjoy it was far better than anything I bought this year. His fascination with everything and the wide-eyed innocence at every table was enough to humble me and make me remember why I started this hobby.

1. Star Wars Vintage Collection Luke Skywalker (Bespin Fatigues)- one of my favorite toys growing up, and made better in every possible way.
2. Two. Complete. Vintage Skystrikers.
3. Modern Skystriker
4. Steel Brigade
5. Joes returning to local pegs.
6. Jazwares FINALLY going back and fixing the joints on their 3" Sonic figures (now where the f*** is Amy?!)
7. The 20th Anniversary Sonic line. Classic Sonic and Tails, plus assorted badniks? Glad I held off for a while after all.
8. CAPTAIN MOTHERFUCKING FORDO. (Now if only I could find him)
9. Finally snagging Anakin's Modified Jedi Starfighter from the Tartakovsky-helmed Clone Wars series for decent price- along with Obi-Wan's from AotC (all for the cost of a single, current Starfighter-class vehicle!)
10. One of Joecom's legendary Battle-damaged BATs showing up on my doorstep.

1) Getting my Skystriker delivered from out back of Target by a friendly customer service associate.

2) Finding a Leader-class Jetfire on clearance for $20 at WM and hooking his rocket pack ass up to Prime.

3) Discovering WH40K.

4) $40 Terrordrome on Craigslist.

5) Seeing the Renegades line and thanking the toy gods I wouldnt be spending anymore money on Joe for a while.

5) Scoring a Lego Voodoo Jack Sparrow at TRU for $0.01
6) Getting the Tie Bomber at a discount at Walmart a year after it's release.
7) Getting a Skystriker at Target the 1st week it hit retail.

8. Painting up 2 Python Phantoms, 2 PP Trubble Bubbles, a PP Warthog, 2 PP Sting Raiders, a PP Buzzboar, a PP Ferret, a PP Fang, a PP Hiss, 2 PP hydrosleds and probably more over the course of the year.

9. Finishing my vintage Night Force figures (sort of) - stupid Charbroil helmet.

10. Starting my Python Raven, Skystriker and SNAKE Armor customs - to be completed after the new year.

My Top 10 positives and nevatives of Toy collecting in 2011

Positives:

1.Getting the Skystiker for 7 bucks with a gift card I got
2.Able to order Panthor
3.Able to get Stalker and the Hazard Viper
4.Able to get Capt Glenn
5Able to get the Vintage and Clone Wars figures from Star Wars I was looking for
6.Helping out a few people find things they were looking for
7.Finding a few Transformers at Ross and TJMax(mainly Wreck Gar)
8.Finding Junkheap
9.Able to get a few figures from the Matty Black Friday sale(Man E Faces,King Hiss,and Triclops)
10.Finding both version of the Hydra Trooper

Negatives not many but some that still leave me cold:
1.Not getting the SDCC Starscream Skystriker
2.Not Getting Man At Arms from the Black Friday sale
3. Not finding wave 3(resorted to BBTS for the Techno Viper)

Those are the dark spots for me in 2011.For those of you that got the Star scream Skystiker,keep in mind that there where some folks who got screwed(namely me).
