The new Storm Shadow (non-Renegades decked out) is fantastic.

Dude........I have had the biggest nerd boner for this figure since the first pic of it surfaced after Toy Fair in February.
I won't get mine til I come back to the States in 3 weeks.....the anticipation is KILLING ME!!! ARGH! I can't remember the last time I was this psyched about a figure...or pretty much anything really!
Your review is awesome....it will keep me satiated until I can get my hands on my OWN SS in just a few weeks....
Man, all this sexual tension over a little plastic man is just so wrong....
I have a special image request!!! Can anyone put this figure's gear on the HoH Storm Shadow and see how it looks??
Also, anyone have that ninja figure from Ages of Action or whatever it was a few years ago? He had some cool gear including a cool hat....I wonder if anyone has the hat and can put it on the new Stormy and see how it looks....

For me, I'm excited about using this figure to make the ultimate Storm Shadow, as is this figure doesn't thrill me that much, looks far too much like a man in a pajama suit. The hea especially look all kinds of wrong. But certain elements (like his gear and parts of his construction) I can use to create the ultimate Storm Shadow. Anyone know a great head to use as a Tommy Arashikage head for Modern Era design?
Thanks for the terrific review and awesome pics man!

ROC had a nice SS head without the mask.

True, but it doesn't really look like the classic Tommy. I'm looking more for the Storm Shadow training Billy look. Though right now, the RoC head is what I will use until I can find something better.

PoC wave 3 SE edges him for me due to the lack of a mummy head being included.

One of those heads is butt ugly. The rest looks good. I'm still happy with the other 138 Storm Shadows I've got. Actually the 1st and 2nd ones work just fine.

This is clearly one of the best versions/ sculpts of Storm Shadow thus far. Renegades or not, this figure definitely pays homage to the classic but with a totally modern take. Can't wait to have this figure in my collection.

The new accessories with this figure really push it over the top.
The two long weapons with pommel rings are Kunai, used as a thrust weapon (seldom thrown), but also for anchoring ropes. (They are not Bo-shuriken, as I had originally thought they were).
The fan is called a Tessen war fan, more of a samurai weapon in my opinion, but very cool. I'm glad it's included here.
I look forward to having this figure some day.

Damn if it isn't true. I want another of these guys to do a grey camo Storm Shadow. Get some more work in on my paint app skills.

Got mine today. Might be my favorite figure.
What fits in the clips at the bottom of the quiver on the back? I can't seem to attach any of the accessories to it well.

see for me this SS does not compare to the poc wave 3 SE, its cool, but the poc SE is on a whole other level. the detail on SE shits all over the renegades SS.
he came with too many small pieces that are good for nothing, i personally dont like either head sculpt, im going to just smack a resolute head on him i think. i also thought the webgear red dressy belt thing was lame, i have mine in his OG status black belt gear.
im not trying to hate on it because i do like it a lot, but im sick of everyone saying its comparible to the poc SE because it doesnt even come close to me.

Let's talk gear…Red Sash (Renegades), Black Sash Belt, Black Chest Strap, Backpack (Two Pieces), Two Swords, Two Sai, Nunchuku, Throwing Knives, a Fan, a Bow, One Loose Arrow(that fits in the backpack), Two Throwing Stars, Two Hand Claws, Wrist Dart Thingy (One is removable), and of course Two Heads (only one I care about). That is an unreal amount of gear and I probably missed something.
A good review, but you might have missed calling some gear by name accurately on several of the items. Still, you did much better than most people who do action figure reviews.
I finally obtained this figure and was able to inspect and appreciate the gear myself. Perhaps I can be of help to you or others with some gear identification for this figure.
So, let's talk gear. His Ninjato styled Daisho has Katana and Wakizashi swords, a pair of Sai, Nunchuku with extended length himo (cord), pair of Kunai (with pommel rings for a rope to go through), Tessen (war fan), Hankyu (half bow) with one loose Arrow (that fits in the backpack), pair of Shaken (wheel blade/throwing stars), pair of Tekko (fist-load weapons), pouch with three Bo-Shuriken (one is removable)… and the heads and quiver, sashes, and strap as you mentioned.

Well, you are entitled to your opinion. Personally, I'm sick of everyone acting like POC SE is god's gift to Joe fans. In my opinion, it's no better then it's POC peers (most of which are great). If I had to pick one figure in POC that was the best of the best, it'd most likely be Lowlight. From the looks of it, POC SE doesn't even close to the awesome of this SS.
Eitherway, I'm not trying to start anything or call you wrong, just pointing out that it's all a matter of opinion.

I plan to do just that if I can ever find this damn Storm Shadow. I swear Hasbro's assortments are ran Mattel now.
PS Still a shame Ages of Action only got one wave. Such a great idea and great figures to boot.

I saw wv 3 SS in my local wal mart a week and half ago with the rest of wave 3. I picked up a few Technos, renegade cobra troopers, and the rest but left SS. The rest of the day I kicked myself for not buying it. I am not a completionist but I regretted not picking him up. I knew that when my boys saw him on the back of the card they would ask if they could get him. Long story short I went back the next day and he was gone. As I was walking away I looked behind the vamps and black dragons and I saw a few figs that looked like they dropped off the pegs. Underneath a duke, viper and CC was Storm Shadow. I am so glad I picked it up. He has become my 2 little boys favorite cobra. I gotta admit he is sweet, hands down my favorite SS released so far.

Christ almighty I love this figure.
I want a Firefly & Shockwave(blast) of this level.
I gotta imagine FF is next on their list of "mini-Sideshow" pieces, right?

Nice! I am definitely not up on my Ninja gear. Neither is Hasbro. Check out the list of gear on the file card.

Can renegade SS hands be swapped onto Hall of Heroes SS, or are the hand/wrist pegs different? I like the sleeveless look of HoH SS better, but this SS has nifty hands. I'd like to see how HoH SS would look with renegade SS hands, legs, and head if possible for someone to try some swaps and take some pics. Pretty please.
