Python Patrol Cobra Officer Modern ERA Review

Python Patrol Officer is a straight repaint of the Cobra Trooper. The biggest difference here though, is that the crotch has been fixed to allow better leg movement. Just like the original, they used the Trooper web gear for the PP Officer. I'm sure we'll see a PP Trooper using the Officer web gear at some point in the future. The only difference from the original (and the prototype of this figure) is that the knee pads are black instead of "Pythonized" like the web gear. This is a minor complaint as it doesn't really take anything away from the figure and makes it easier to use this figure as a custom for a UK repaint "Hunter" figure. The PP Officer comes with a black rifle, an all silver knife, Grey Helmet, "Python" Webgear and a Cobra Stand.

This figure is a good update to an old repaint. It captures the feel of the vintage figure and can be used for most any setup.

I wish it had the knee pads painted though...otherwise if you take off the web gear, it's just a black and yellow trooper. There's nothing Python about that.

I really enjoyed this figure. Although, I know some won’t, but everyone’s different that way. Simply, if you don’t mind the colors, you’ll probably enjoy Python Patrol.

I would have appreciated painted kneepads, but otherwise a perfect homage to the original.

I passed on this figure today at my wal mart. was a worn paint problem where the grey helmet contacts the plastic.

Otherwise I did'nt like the choice of weapons.

i always liked the phyton patrol since i was younger. I would like to see a copperhead phyton patrol come out. But i give this a 8 out of 10. i thought they did a really good ob on it

31 officers is way to many officers you should've saved that for the troopers!, you only need 10 most dependin on the size of your troops!

an i'm only keepin one for moc he wont fit in my collection , the tiger force flint dont even fit in, i jus needed some joes open to fill spots . other then that i was gonna keep em closed

I wonder if we'll ever get Tiger Force or Python Patrol vehicles? Seems like a no brainer, since Hasbro loves to do repaint (HISS tank, anyone?). Never had any PP or TF stuff before, so I think it would be cool.

If this Python officer didn't have the darn cobra emblem on his chest I would be doing a little bit of customizing and making my Tiger Force Flint look like regular Flint

i bought another one of these peg warmers today. i opened it up to put it on display until my new pp vehicle is done and the paint litterally flaked off the rifle! could they not have just included one of the previous rifles? this is utter junk unless you now die it black.

it came painted black! it's actual yellow plastic. the plastic is far to flexible to be painted and as soon as it bent coming out of the bubble, the paint flaked off. the rest came off as i was getting it into the figures hand. this is the first time i've ever had this happen.

wow, I just checked mine and they are painted black. WTF? they haven't chipped, but I used a pocket knife and scraped some off on the handle...sure enough, yellow underneath lol.

as did mine with the exception of this one figure. i was just shocked as i just opened up this figure and right out of the bubble the paint peels off.

btw, what figure came with a grey molded plastic cobra rifle? i have one of these figures with a grey rifle but this one was sitting on my shelf so i may have mistakenly picked up the wrong rifle.

what a relief... i atleast feel better knowing i'm not the only one. maybe my carded figures was just subjected to some physical conditions that caused the paint to become brittle?

thanks for the fact check. i corrected this figures weapon to the correct black rifle.
