Renting From Redbox And Saved Games

Quick question...

I'm pretty sure it'll work as your saved games are on the harddrive/memory card.

But just want to make sure.

Rent a game from Redbox and play it, will the saved games work if
1- rent again later
2- buy the game later

It should be good. Problems come when you make a profile on a different xbox and don't transfer the saves.
