I'm new to customizing figs and I'm trying to figure out what kind of paint to use. Can anyone offer any advice? I'd like them to still be moderately playable!

If you want your paint colors to match your other Joes, use Citadel hobby miniatures paint. The swatches are the same as toy manufacturers. This means you can also do touch-ups on worn Joes without mixing. Then use a spray-on acrylic sealer.

I restored a C-1 Cobra Officer with Citadel paints. You can't tell the difference, apart from the fact that he looks "really new" when standing next to the other officers in my collection.
