Oh my god, dude this is sick! First, you have to understand how much I love the old Capcom and Konami side scrolling beat em ups; Dungeons and Dragons, Cyberbots, Aliens vs Predator, Xmen, TMNT.

Get a copy of windows and you can run it on your mac in bootcamp.

The animation looks good and the character design is great. I really like how Snake Eyes becomes invisible while fighting the two dogs and Cobra Officer.

Thanks for all the positive comments! It really makes me happy to know that there's a fanbase for this game. I've been collecting GI JOE since I was 8 years old, so this game is a real labor of love.
To answer some questions:
1) Snake Eyes is the only playable character for now. That might change later, but the difficulty is in making the sprites - every single sprite is custom made in this game. PrimeOp did some amazing sprites which we used for cut scenes. The process usually involves getting sprites from other games (Street Fighter, King of Fighters etc), changing the palettes on them and then photoshopping in different heads, costumes etc.

2) Zarana isn't in the game but that could change. Again, if we have sprites I'll put it in the game!

3) The engine is called Beats of Rage (OpenBOR). It runs on PC, but also on PSP. Once this is finished I'll provide a link so everyone can download it (free).

Lastly, I'm working on a secret Silent Castle bonus level that you'll unlock after beating the game. I used Benny Broca's blueprints as a foundation to build the level, see the attached pic.

Sick, man. Very sick. Actually I think this is more the '90s than the '80s. I have a lot more I'm dying to discuss but anyway...

Before this gets front paged, before this goes ANY further, someone needs to advise what can be done before Hasbro potentially catches wind of this project and performs one of those "cease-and-desist" maneuvers. It happens a lot when video games are involved (look up "Chrono Trigger:Resurrection" as an example). Basically the intellectual-property owner only wants to protect against trademark and copyright infringement (even if no exchange of $$$ ever occurs, anywhere, in said "fan project").
