Now, I know that hasbro said that it was supposed to be water that makes it change colors, but I've tried everything I can think of-
Water, sunlight, sticking him in the freezer, holding up to a light bulb-
So far, nada.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Oh, and the card DOES say color changing face, before anyone asks. ;)

Liquid Nitrogen? :D you probably got one that doesn't have the changing face paint. That is strange that you got the card that did say 'changing face' hmmm

I'm guessing its sunlight.A friend of mine had his sitting out(still in package)and he said it was changing colors.

Mine changes in cold temps..I put him in the freezer and his head turned greenish blue. Then I put that ugly face mask he comes with back on him and scared my wife! She thought the face mask was worse than Zartans original face!:D

Okay, everyone's heard about the variant Zartan, right? One changes color, one doesn't, and the latter is probably more rare.
The fun part is convincing someone which is which on ebay or whatever.

Luckily enough, the card art for the "non change" figure does not indicate that the figure can change colors.
That being said, people are getting "Non color change" cards with color change figures inside :(

So, I left him in the freezer overnight, and much to my chagrin....
no color change.
So I guess I got a non-color change figure on a color change card, or my Zartain is defective.
Which could explain the crazy look is his eyes...

the original Zartan changed color when you put him in the sun... I guess because like the cartoon he was alergic to the sun... maybe the 25th version is the same way... I havent tried with mine yet...

The two I have state color change on the package. Mine seem to change color with temperature...they are still MOC. When I got them...they had the normal flesh tone color...I put them in the basement (little cooler down there)...and they are now greenish/blue.
