Guys I was looking at some sites for 25th anniversary Joes and I noticed Toywiz boosted the price up from $149.00 to $349.00 on the Gold SDCC Destro - You think its an error on the site or do they really want that much for it MOC?

they are "asking" that much, but i almost guarantee nobody will pay that much for it.

it's currently going for $150.00 - $190.00 in the secondary market (aka eBay).

i wish i would have bought more at $29.99 back on that Thursday night of SDCC when they put them on eBay.

My jaw just hit the floor.349$ !!!!!!!!!!!!! I will NEVER down or tell another collector how to spend their money, but thats more money than brains.I would much rather have a incomplete Flagg or missile command center for that price.

Outback, I hear that. I had 2 in my shopping cart from Hasbrotoyshop.com and when I checked out they came up as silver....I called and was told that they unfortunatly just sold out. On top of it they sent both silver, and one was really creased up.

I did buy one AFA graded myself at a 90 - but I also bought it for $200. I feel like I paid a lot but looking at that price for it to be MOC on top of it and not even graded is just psycho to me !!!

they actually only have one in stock i reccomend that they grade it and sell it for 7,000. that's my take on the whole thing LOL

This is very similar to the Toy Fair Vader from 2005. It sold for like $10 on the SW fan club and then went for $300+ on ebay.

was that the silver one?
i htink i have that one. i tried collecting all of the silvers... still need a clone trooper and sand trooper.

this also reminds me of the gentle giant SDCC blue clone trooper bust. they had to raffle the CHANCE to buy one! and wouldnt you know... i GOT one!
that baby still goes for about $600 today.
am i gonna sell it? HELLS NAW! :D

congrats to those with gold PDD's.
PIMPIN' AINT EASY!!!

I saw the gold ones on e-bay Thursday night of the Comic-con for about 25-30 bucks.

My friend and I thought "what a joke-- we'll just pick them up tomorrow at the show!"

Well, little did we know the fiasco it would be trying to get one...

Then we waited for Hasbrotoystore.com to put them up (as the rep at the con said they would)-- so we still didn't buy one on e-bay.

Of course, by the time they we found them on Hasbrotoyshop.com, they only had the Silver version left-- of which I picked up 2.

Still been debating on getting taking the plunge and getting the Gold one-- but it's gone from 125 to 200+ on e-bay this last week or so!

I'll tell you one thing-- I'm not wating for a "better" deal on these exclusives anymore!

Here's my running theory. . .

There's a lot of collectors out that are pretty static about which lines they collect. I've met quite a few.

- They're either in and out of a particular brand; never bothering to follow the boards or the trends.

- They're 100% N00Bs just starting out; so naive they'll fall for the hype.

- Or, they stick with a line, but they often get derailed and miss the news about how rare a particular item truly is.

These are the unseen rank and file that online retailers love the most, and they're the ones that pay the seller's rent. To them, these are "the suckers born every minute."

I was one once. You wouldn't believe a few of the items I bought back when I was coming into this.

Its alot like looking at my posed Banana-Stalker on my shelf and muttering that he could have paid for Wave 2 and 3. (Going for $70+ MOC currently). :0
