This Shipwreck is what I call “For the customizers.” This is the same Shipwreck we’ve gotten before just in a different color and with new accessories now. The skin tone is the color of the plastic now and not painted on. Rather than having more Shark and Anchor tattoo variants, Shipwreck now has a tat that’s more like his original one of and anchor with a sea serpent wrapped around it.

The accessories are really what makes this figure worth buying. The removable life vest is pretty cool, but better used for a Cutter custom. He also has a hook and line that’s similar to what the original figure came with. I feel this should have been included with the first Shipwreck they made. Shipwreck is packaged with a pistol, Polly, Removable Vest, Hook and Line and a GI Joe Stand

Copperhead uses the same torso and arms as Roadblock, but has new legs and a new head. The addition of a belt and shoulder harness makes this figure look just like the original Copperhead.

The legs have a brown wash painted on to make them look dirty. This doesn’t really bother me too much since he’s usually in the swamps anyway. The right hand is a bit off being cocked upwards slightly. It’s not too noticeable in some poses. I‘ve never really been bothered by the wide open left hand as it’s a perfect fit to appear he had his thumb in his belt (Like a gunslinger) and it works in many other settings. Copperhead comes with a Pistol, a Rifle and a Cobra stand.

This is a great figure that gives us another classic character in the 25th Anniversary style

I agree on the Shipwreck. If I could do customs, I'd definitely make him a Cutter. Like you said, the accessories are what makes this figure.

But I can't agree with you on the hands for Copperhead. I haven't liked Roadblock's torso and arms since the first figure. His right hand angle makes some poses look awkward and the wide left hand was more suited for Roadblock's huge gun. Just doesn't look right on this figure.

Those are the only gripes I really have, though.

Another excellent review, man.

I always thought CH's head could have been toned down a little, more true to his original look.
His "helmet" is a little too long in the "mouth" and his "ears" stick out a little too far...thus giving him a chimpanzee look to him.
But what can I say...I bought him didn't I ?

I always thought it was more of a frog look :) (Vintage and the new one)

I dunno....I like this version of Shirwreck much more then I thought I would. I think he looks better then the carded version.

I’ll probably be getting this comic pack next. Then I’ll be done with the wave and I can start in on wave 5.

I really wish they had retooled Shipwreck’s hand. And Copperhead looks kind of lack luster, although I must add that I’m not a fan of 25th anniversary Roadblock.

I’ll probably get this set next time I see it though.

Can these be linked on the front page where the "what's out now" list is? I think it'd be really helpful.

I never had Copperhead as a kid, and when the figure came out, it was a definite pass for me originally. Then I saw it in-store, and of the comic 2-packs with 1 repaint, I'll have to say, this is one of the better for just a single figure... I consider for $2 extra, you get a free Shipwreck that's not exactly terrible. The vest makes a neat difference. I almost wish he'd just come with a generic Joe sailor, or Cutter. But the Shipwrecks a neat enough "bonus".

Copperhead is massive, I really dig his proportions. The new parts make him really look like a new figure.

I was pleased with the set, and agree with Shogi's rating system. It's an accurate review.

I agree. I like the fact that they made the pants look dirty from being in the swamp. It is a great attention to detail...

It also makes him not look as flat. I love the depth it gives him, I almost wish they'd given more figures washes like the B.A.T.

aside from the hands, Copperhead is great. Shipwreck was just a total waste though, they could of AT LEAST offered up an open right hand. I still can't believe the original came with 3 guns and could only hold 1. or better yet have made a not lazy (i.e. TrU) Cutter.

Copperhead's knees aren't double jointed, which blows. Why would they make a new leg sculpt and not fully articulate it? Is this leg sculpt really not new and the reviewer missed that? IMO the lack of proper leg articulation and the giant Roadblock arms with awkward left wrist makes Copperhead a 6 out of 10 and not 8 as the reviewer suggests. I have to say this was a major disappointment.

I believe Hasbro has stated the reason larger figures have single jointed knees is due to the top heavy nature of the figure itself

He should be shorter and thinner, he looks like a wwf wrestler. The head can't tilt back, he's a Water Moccasin driver..not a pro wrestler or Cobra Trainer..

Exaggerated figure..but I still like it. It just makes no sense why he'd be so big when his vehicle is so small. Watch...... could this Copperhead end up being just like Baron Fel that barely fit inside his Elite Tie Fighter? The Copperhead that will come packaged with the Water Moccasin should be smaller.

I love the Copperhead and hate the Shippy. Good fair review

I like the new Shipwreck, although Copperhead is worth the 'price of admission' alone. Can't see me replacing the single carded Shippy, but at least this version looks good in the Night Spectre.

The paint job on Shipwreck's head is soooo much better than the single figure... I'm going to paint the blue part white and swap them.

Still dislike the gimp hand...

Copperhead is nice too. My only complaint is how loose his webgear is. I will probably dab a little glue on them and stick them down on his shoulders.

So true... I have a hellava time keeping my Snow Serpent standing... his knees are so darn loose.
