i dont know if anyone here liked the harry potter books or movies but i thaught they were cool. i heard that the halfblood prince was suppose to come out in november of 2008 but they are pushing it to july 2009. i dont know if this is accurate or just a rumor but if anyone knows it would be good to know. when i was at the movie theatre last weekend i seen the posters up for it so i assumed it was coming out.

if you dont like harry potter please dont leave any negative comments. thanks

saw this on IMDB today

"Harry Potter movie makers fear the next installment of the fantasy franchise will flop - because J.K. Rowling has released the last novel in the series.

The first five films were a huge box office success, cashing in on the hype surrounding the publication of Rowling's books.

But the seventh and final text was in bookshops last year - and there are still three movies yet to hit theatres.

The film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is set for release next year, while the final book - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - will be split into two pictures.

And screenwriter Steve Kloves admits to Entertainment Weekly, "I'm not going to lie to you. I do have some concern that because the books are over, the anticipation won't be the same.

"It would be a complete car crash if no one showed up." (Ig/Ew)

well they started making th books years before they ever made a movie and i think that everyone is waiting to see it on film. it is great to read the books and get to see the film so i dont think it will flop at all. i really hope that we get to see the rest of the movies and i hope that all the actors who have been in them stay in them even though they are getting quite old to play the part.

i alweys thaught that they would just shoot the rest of the films now and release them over the years. the trailer for the halfblood prince looks very good so i hope it comes out in november since that is right around christmas and i think the movie would do very good.

Unless you intended to somehow tie the delayed release of the Harry Potter film in with the G.I.Joe movie, what has this got to do with a forum called G.I.Joe News and Rumors?

thanks

That's kinda stupid logic. That's like saying the newest GI Joe toys won't sell because Devil's Due stopped putting out GI Joe comics :)

I'm excited to see each and every book put to film

It has made the news so I think is safe to say that you wont see it till 2009.

The official reasoning behind the move was based on the success of the Dark Knight. That weekend obviously was massively successful for them, and they didn't have anything being released in that time frame, so they chose to move Potter there as it is a huge family movie on a weekend that is huge for family outings. The last film was released in that same time frame and made more money than any of the others, except the original.

they found an open summer slot and decided to release then on the chance of taking advantage of summer season

From what I've read regarding the date move, Daniel Radcliffe is staring in a Broadway play called Equus, in which he's nude in a few scenes and has a sex scene. It starts this fall and it runs through November. Warner Brothers was scared shitless that "innocent" Harry Potter wouldn't fare well with everyone interviewing Daniel about his nude and sex scenes about the time the next movie was to hit the theaters, so Warner moved it so as not to have to deal with it at the same time.

He already did the play for a run last year. Warners said they respected his decision to do it and did not have a problem with it.

I also read that the movie is basically in the can and everything is moving to the next installment. I think it was a smart business move on the studios part. This movie will make some mad money.
