Comic wv 5 Cobra Commander..no love?

I just cannot believe that more people don't like the Comic wv 5 version more than prior versions. The hood doesn't looks so windswept with the cape..it just looks like its ruffled from movement or talking. The uniform looks awesome, the color is good and the accessories match perfectly.

Am I really the only one that loves this figure?

i just got my wave 5 tripewire and cobra commander pack haven't really looked closely at it yet tripwire looks awesome though

It's a blue cg body with a hooded cc head. We could have made that repaint ourselves. The accessories are cool, but the colors are off.

I think he's sweet! Put a Cobra Commander head on a Blue Crimson Guard Body, give him a Cape and sword, and you got my purchase! Sweet figure, glad you said something about it!

hes okay....i had to ditch that shitty cape though. too bad it doesnt fall straight down like a superman styled cape....instead of the delta shape it has.

BTW, this CC is my favorite. I still love the hooded and battle helmet versions because of their nestalgic reasons but this one truely screams "ruthless dictator". I think when I repaint his yellow-green pieces, I'll also add a hint of blood to his sword.

Seriously, it's gotta be the laziest kitbash in Hasbro history, but it doesn't automatically make it crap. I have mine with sword drawn squaring off against IG Destro, who's sporting his own saber. Honestly, it's a DAMN cool looking scene, and CC finally looks like a guy who can build, and hold on to, a shadow empire with guys like Destro and Serpentor waiting to exploit any weakness. They should have packed this figure in with the Crimson Exec pack, as opposed to the crap red hooded version.

If I had one complaint it's that the yellow gear looks too green next to his blue uniform. If he'd had gold-colored gear like Destro, then he'd have been a 9 out of 10.

I like the new CC - he'd have looked much cooler in black, but traditional Cobra colors are blue, so it suits him better. The accessories could have been less cartoony, but it seems most of the CPs get that odd-colored plastic for their accessories.

We just don't need anymore Cobra Commanders.

I forgot about that, but I didn't know the head was the same too (or do you speak of the helmet?). I guess the paint job made it look different enough to make it not noticable.

I LIKED IT!!!! And the comic was funny as hell showed it to my neighbors and they were laffin pretty hard on account we were watching Cheech and Chong's Next Movie the second to last part of comic when Tripwire and CC get blown up reminds me of the part when Chong lights up a joint in a car filled with gas fumes then KAPOW! the reaction on Cobra looked liked Cheech in the T-Bird with his hat burned off the same as Cobras LOL.

i like it and i made the crimson CC custom that i seen here. its just bad ass. the only thing i dont like about it is the holster.
remindes me of the imperial set CC well the art on the back side anyways

i would love to find him or any wave 5 comics we see none in my BFE town. we only just got wave 4 a month or so ago and it is peg warming hard, also some stores do not carry comic packs or new 12inch figures what gives.

He's ok. I like his look in this uniform, but I would have prefered a darker blue with gold rather than yellow. Personally I like Cobra commander to stand out more from the rest of my troops and with the CGs and a few other customs I have using this body, he matches everyone else a bit too much. What I would like is a Cobra Commander that looks like the 12 Sideshow version. That I would buy.

If you leave the head red you could have a poppa smurf cg.

On topic I think the wave 5 cc is pretty bad ass!

I found Wave 5 CP's last night but no luck on the CC/TW pack. I figured that one would be plentiful. There'll be a bunch on the pegs before too long.
