As some of you know, I am currently deployed overseas and unable to keep up wiht the collection... but my secret weapon, the wife, has been checking Wal Mart, Target, TRU, and K Mart while I am gone... she hit quite a few dry holes until today when she emailed me to let me know that she had picked up the following at Wal Mart and TRU...

I have to "trick" her into going to stores with me, and then she still goes off shopping for her things. She'd NEVER so much as look for me, let alone BUY any.

Actually, yea. I had her go to target prior to the release date of their exclusives (HISS, AWE, & Night Specter) and I had kinda coached her as to what to do. The salesman went to get them, she had them in hand and was checking out, but there was no price for them in teh system and the Toy Dept Manager Nazi showed up and said that these were not avaliable for sale yet. So, yea it works... we just aviod a certian individual at Target now when asking.

I don't remember it, we lived in Cherry Point for seven years (my Pops got deployed to Japan for a year in between) and the only time I remember being there was during Desert Storm, they had Lee Greenwood do a free concert there haha. He ended up as a Gunnery Sargent and to this day, people still call him Gunny, to the point where they think it's his real name. You silly Marines haha...

I have been to Cherry Point a few times, mostly to fly out for a deployment though.

Gunny is a great rank to achieve, I was selected for it this year and will be promoted to it early next year. We are the only service to hold the rank of Gunnery Sergeant, like they are some mythical being, so it is a very special privilege and honor that your dad has.... It is kinda funny to watch when other service members talk to one or come accross one as he is knee deep in some Marines' ass.

LoL, the same thing happens with my wife.... she ALWAYS finds the best hauls when she goes shopping... when I go look, I find diddly... maybe 1 or 2 at the most that I need. Just the other day she ran into all the new vehicles released, to bad she didn't have the money to bring them all home with her.... DAMN YOU ECONOMY!!!!!!!
