It helps out the younger collectors if nothing else.

I remember back in the 80's I had to wait years to get a Commander that resembled the cartoon since I started collecting in about '85. Got the battle armor CC and had to wait until '91 to get one with a faceplate (which still wasn't close enough for me).

I realize this line is aimed at the adult collector, and completists are pretty screwed. But for a kid that's just today buying a figure and starting to read the comics, getting the enemy leader should be a relatively easy thing.

And I say this with full bias, as I don't have a CC and am waiting for the perfect faceplate version to be released. ;)

I'll admit they've had some cool ones so far, and YES The Chrome Face!, it should have already been done.
I just wish they would put effort into the other joes who havent been made yet. the list is still pretty long.

Actually a black/silver modern version of the Battle Corps COBRA Commander and Ninja Force Snake-Eyes (or more comic-accurate, an unmasked Snake-Eyes) with a reprint of issue #150 would be something I'd like...though I'm probably in the minority.

I am somewhat weary of blue helmeted and hooded CC's, though.

it isn't a matter of how many you need. don't like'em, don't buy'em. but you kind of have to keep an important character like Cobra Commander available for consumers. it is pretty simple. you can't have a Joe vs Cobra storyline if Cobra Commander isn't available.

I'm still waiting for a faceplate version where CC's head is more to scale (in the ballpark of 33% larger)...so, until that happens, keep 'em coming!

Also, when are they going to do one with all the paint apps on his gloves, belt(s), helmet stripe, and pants stripe? They don't even use the same tone plastic (Wave 8 w/MASS element is the best imo), so we can't even mix and match to create the ideal CC.

[My original faceplate CC broke after he he was discontinued, and I never liked the hooded or battle armor versions as much...so, I sort of have a complex about having plenty of spare CC's around. That said, I could've done without the Legions and Crimson Guard versions.]

In regards to the many that want the Chrome Plated CC, which just so happens to get released 15 CC's later, thats done by design.....

The same premise applies to a variety of things on the market. How many times have you bought something, only to find out THEN miraculously a bigger, better, badder version appears. DvD's are notorious for this. The company gives you that initial taste to wet your palate, THEN delivers the meal. :)

Do you think that Hasbro just recently discovered how to apply a Chrome look to the mask and decided to proceed with it? Don't kid yourselves, they know what they're doing. It's also no accident that the best looking one to date *The Chrome* is bunched up in that DvD pack. Why pack it as a single, when they can get you to buy the whole pack.......

Also....tired of all those Hooded CC's as well? Of course, now that you've bought 10 of them. Don't be surprised to see future versions with a Removable or Material Hood, more capes, scepters, one with a throne, etc. the possibilities are endless. They gotcha!!

I'd also like that throne from the MASS Device. Of course, I'd like it along with a Silent Castle playset.

I use the throne from the Naboo Royal Starship with a Legions COBRA sound box behind it as my COBRA Commander throne.

Multiple CC's (and Dukes, and Snake Eyes) are a fact of 'Joe Life' now. Accept it or get an ulcer... If a crappy Commander every wave means we get other good figures, I'll deal with it.

That CC with the chrome face looks like the ultimate version. It should come in a Deluxe version with an extra hood face and a cobra shape throne.
I admit some versions weren't necessary at all like the comic or black versions. Same thing can be said about the cobra trooper, V1 with the red chest symbol would have been enough.

I don't care too much, but I do wish they would stop putting them in the box sets. I don't mid repaints so much, but mix it up a bit. It's hard to avoid buying a figure you all ready have too many of, when the one figure you want is in a set with the one you don't.

Despite all the CC's already made I still want a black hooded CC.
I would even take a cold weather envrionment CC. I'm cool with there being multiples of popular characters, that seems to be the business model, just make them cool and/ or functional.

It's also lame that you get stuck with alot of these mutiples just to get the unique character.

I Agree with what you were saying about the packs...I still wish quick kick, alpine, Falcon, Tripwire, and say dusty were on single cards rather than comic packs.. tomax and xamot would have been cooler in their old style package..
Now I see who?...Short fuze in the Ultimate set?.....

Well unfortunately if we want those characters, we're stuck with the CCs. Silver lining though, we get those other figures. :)
