No doc redemption on current comic packs?

The redemption of the doc figure is postdated to August 31st so the new comic packs don't include the promotion.

Not to mention that the original production run of Doc was already used up. This second batch probably isn't nearly as large and is intended to only cover those orders already received and an estimated number of stagglers floating through the mail at the time.

The bad thing is that the Doc stickers also aren't in the repacked Snake Eyes/Storm Shadow and Fred/Scarface comic packs that are shipping with this wave. I wanted to pick up another Fred, and almost bought one of these new comic packs and then realized it didn't have the offer printed in the corner. Now I use that to tell if a store has gotten the newest wave, because these tend to be peg warmers while the three new comic packs fly off the shelf.

Why would you expect the newer rerelease sets have stickers if the new ones in the case with them don't? What's bad about that?

What's bad about it is that I needed one more Doc sticker and one more Fred. If I hadn't been paying attention, I wouldn't have gotten my Doc sticker. I think it makes perfect sense to stop shipping new comic packs with Doc stickers since the promo is almost over, but I think that the new case assortment should no longer include the older comic packs. They've been overflowing the pegs forever, and the new comic packs are impossible to find. Instead of causing confusion for the inattentive collector, why not ship a case assortment with only new comic packs and no re-releases?

Because Hasbro has no apparent reasoning to its methods. Besides wave five and it's fillers are the only sets to not offer the stickers.

I understand some of what you argue here, but Hasbro seems to offer only two per of any certain comic in its newer case assortments. Since we only got three "new" comic sets in wave five, [six total] there had to be fillers [eight per case]. I can only guess that they opted for the possible troop builder for those who want it, and the obligatory ninja set as the kiddy catcher.

Yours is an unfortunate situation but as you've pointed out, its the result of inattentiveness. I'm sure there are folks here that can help you out if you ask.

If you want DOC stickers your gonna have to get those Hawk Scarlet packs that are warming pegs accross the country. Hasbro said they will offer another mail in. We will see more stickers

I think you misread (or I mistyped), but I didn't buy the comic pack missing the stickers because I noticed it was missing it at the last minute before I put it in my cart. Instead I found one with the stickers at another store.

My rant was simply that someone who doesn't spend an hour every night on The Tank probably wouldn't be so diligent. I'm sure that at some point in the next two weeks we'll hear from someone who bought a comic pack to get their last Doc sticker, only to find out it didn't have one. By raising the visibility on this thread, I'm hoping that we can alert enough people to pay attention to this so that it doesn't happen.
