By "gimp hand" I mean figures with hands like cobra commander, Destro, shipwreck, Quick Kick, and others?

AKA Hands that don't hold weapons, They just hold a pose.

I voted no, but would gladly change it if they would give you a functional hand too. Some are kinda cool, but that's only if they are just going to collect dust anyway.

that would be cool to have 2 hands. CC is ok with his fist up doing the "COBRA!!!!" pose, but it would be cool have an extra hand

I voted "yes for some figures." I actually like Cobra Commander's closed fist for example. It allows you to put him in some interesting poses. Same with Shipwreck, the fist doesn't bother me. Crankcase, on the other hand, is not as successful due to the fact that he is supposed to drive a vehicle and should probably have two functional hands.

Hey brother you beat me to it. It would not bad at all if we had a second and functional hand to play with.

I voted 'yes, for some.' I agree that some figures, like CC with the closed fist, is a nice one but I still haven't figured out why Crankcase is supposed to be driving with one closed fist.

hell no i hate them and spite all upcomeing lame ass lazy hands. if hasbro feels thay need to do this then include extra hands.

hay here is a great idea one hasbro guy said to an other, lets give our next figure two hands that are like, one closed and one open vary wide. also we can give this figure a crapload of guns that are totaly useles. the other hasbro guy loves it and said make it so.

You can't wage war with 1 functional hand!! We need 2 hands for guns, especially if we are manning some .50 cals. And the wrist action... like the Vipers, they need some extra hands too if they are gonna pull shit like that on us.

I voted "Yes, for some". I think if they don't ever start adding a second hand to replace the closed one then they could at least give them a new hand in second(or more) release of the figure.
I think it's great on Cobra Commander, though I think some of the last figures they should have given him a new regular left hand. Shipwreck's closed fist seemed weird though when they gave him three guns and only one gun hand.

it's fine I guess, if you don't want to play with them, but I hated it on Hydro-viper, and I hate it now.

I said Yes...reason being is I want to have alternate hands if I ever do a stop motion or dio.

Extra hands in the package would look very creepy.

Worked for Quick Kick for his karate chop, and one CC for the cobra pose. For Shipwreck and other fisties, no.

I almost didn't even buy Shipwreck because of GIMP Hand!! He has 3 guns and 1 hand!! What the hell?? They didn't even give him enough pockets/backpack to carry them into battle. He had to donate a pistol to ACE, since Hasblow failed to pack the pilot with any weapons. AND DESTRO!! He's a weapons supplier and he can only hold one gun and the case won't fit in his hand!!! STOP THE MADNESS!!!!

Me and my friend at work both agree, it's perfect for CC. The raised first of wrath is 110% perfect for him. Destro can get away with it, as he's more of a behind the scenes guy. Rare is the instance he'd have anything bigger than a pistol.

Shipwreck, on the other hand, suffers greatly from it. He needs, cries out for an M-60 (or some equivilent BFG) with which to tear into enemy watercraft. And between the karate hand and the ankles, Quick Kick looks like he's gonna SERIOUSLY suck.

21st century figures not only come with extra hands, but often times additional limbs and occasionally, a different torso. I like the versatility they're willing to give their figures - that and they still cost under $6 usually. This is possible to do Hasbro. We have spoken.

It dosen't bother me really. In fact I think it looks good on some figures. Agree about the alternate hands thing

NO! Gimp hands Suck! first with CC, its cool that he can ball his fist and show his dominance as a pose but if you want him to hold a weapon........

I guess for posing the Gimp hands are fine

playing wise or posing with weapons wise "houston we have a problem"

A GI Joe figure should be able to hold a gun in both hands and move all its joints like every other figure in the line, none of this bullshit.

Shipwreck needed a closed fist, he can't go around backhand bitch slapping every Cobra trooper he sees. Sometimes you gotta scuff up the knuckles.

I voted yes to some, for some reason Quick Kicks hand bugs me. Destro's gnarled left hand kinda seems odd too.
