Not sure if this has been asked before. With the Copperhead/firefly/Redstar packs are listed as 4,5,6 and the newers ones are 7,8,9.A friend of mine said in the Nemsis pack it refers to a early issue that he doesn't have. So,my question is...Were are 1,2,3 comics at?does the newer comics packs have 123 or will they keep going from issue 9?

I would like to know too. And what happened to the reprints of the old series? How do those fit in?

I think that comics 1, 2, and 3 are the comics that came with
Day in Springfield Fred CG/Scarred Trooper
Silent Entry pt 2 Storm Shadow/Snake-eyes
Bad Day at the Circus Crimson Twins.
Basically, they're comics that are new Hama Stories that fit into the old storyline but aren't Marvel or anyone elses publications.

Kind of related, but unrelated....did anybody notice the new characters used in the 3 comics from wave 5? For the most part, the characters being used in these comics usually end up as an action figure. Blowtorch was in an older issue (and is now a rumor) and so was Tripwire (who just came out). But Tunnel Rat, Heavy Duty, Tele-Vipers, Night Creepers, Nullifiers, Dr. Mindbender, Toxo-Viper, Techno-Viper, Shockwave, Outback and Sneak Peek have all now been used (I might be forgetting a few) in these comics. Do you think these characters have a greater chance of being made since they appeared in the new comics? Or do you guys think the characters in these have nothing to do with Hasbro's selection process for future figures?

Actually that brings up a question I had after reading that terrible comic with Destro and his Iron Grenadier. Is Hasbro still in charge of who and what characters/vehicles Mr. Hama writes about? I'm just wondering if things like using the Toxo-viper popped in his head, or were put there by Hasbro execs.

Well Hama has said that he doesn't make storylines or plots while writting a book, the characters apparently make it up for him, so it could be that all those characters are just coincidence.
As for the numbering, It seems that it's just for the ones Hama has been writting. I too would like to know about this "Battle of Cobra-La II" I wonder if he's referencing the Movie or maybe the last GI Joe/Transformers crossover

I just remembered that the Night Creepers appeared in one of the older issues (I think it was the Red Star issue, but I might be wrong) and now they are rumored/almost confirmed.

What about Slice and Dice? They were in the Firefly / Storm Shadow comic. There is no sign of them being made yet.

Hasbro doesn't think Cobra-La is stupid and Hasbro pays Larry, so Larry writes about the wonders and coolness that is Cobra-La.

Yeah, Hama's gotta do what the pay checks tell him to do. But for the majority, don't these "issues" take place like a day before or just after a major in old Comic event?
I'd like to think there's some amount of foreshadowing in the new comics to suggest future releases. They're certainly characters that I'd like to see. But then, I'm still a supporter of the Cobra Legions Box Art Hidden Message Theory.
