Super blown away about how well this was put together! I'd like to thank everone who put this together for an awesome con, I would also like to say thanks for all the laughter, it was great, I was thrilled to be at this and can't wait till next year! And thanks to Gyre for starting me on my newest adventure )preproduction), also am now looking through all my blue prints thanks to tolan And most of all thank you Iowa con team for outting this stellar event together, it was seriously cool and words can not express how much fun I had, all I can say is yojoe!

I've never been to a Joe or toy event, so I didn't quite know what to expect- this surpassed my expectations on every level.

The really, really, ridiculously great people were such a pleasant surprise! In all sincerity, what an amazing and FRIENDLY group. So many great conversations and so much fun to speak with genuinely nice people who share a love for GI Joe. Thank you to everyone who made the trip worthwhile for me and my crew.

What a great venue- Jay's is awesome, and I daresay the coolest store I've ever walked into. My mind was blown. Awesome people selling awesome Joe stuff and shockingly great prices that made it impossible not to come out penniless with bags full of plastic happiness. So much great stuff to ogle- customs, variants, prototypes, and so much that I couldn't even soak it all up. Thanks everyone who shared their work and collections!

The raffle prizes were awesome! Gary, throwing in a 30th Sci-Fi for one of the winners? Just too cool.

Ron Wagner was there, showing off his latest pencils for the Joe comic and ready to sketch art. Yet another really nice guy.

There was very clearly a tremendous amount of thought and hard work put into creating this event, and it really, really showed. I realize I may sound a little over-the-top, but I can't thank everyone enough for being so cool and for making it such a fun and memorable day. Yo Joe!

Great show guys. Sorry if I came off a little loopy, I really didn't get enough sleep the night before coming from Austin. Really glad to meet a lot of you tankers. Very casual atmosphere at a great venue. I much prefer these kind of meet-ups to the bigger comic cons I've been going to recently. Thanks for putting this together!

Driving home from Chicago.....after the display my lions had for me in hindsight I wish I stayed home and hung out with you guys! My great girlfriend went in my place and I'm sure you guys had more fun talkn to her then u would've me! Ha ha.... she said everyone was super nice and she had a great time! Said she has a suprise waiting for me when I get home! She took a bunch of pictures so I'm looking fwd to seeing those! Loved the scarlett name tag she sent a picture of! Making her save it! Thanks for helping her out guys and look fwd to the next one! I won't miss it!

finally got home at 11 last night. long drive but well worth it. thanks to steve and brian (again) for putting it together. thanks to ron wagner for the AWESOME snake eyes art. thanks to jays for putting up a place for us. (jay's is an awesome shop and if i lived anywhere closer i would be spending A LOT of time and money there.) thanks to tolan, roshan and gyre for all the interesting insight and conversation. class acts all the way down the board.
it was great to meet the many guys i got to. wish i had been able to meet more of you and talk more. the day went SO fast.
i WILL make the trek again next time. (maybe next summer we can do one in okoboji!)

This was a fantastic time. I'm not on the Tank much, so I didn't know many of you... for that I apologize. Please feel free to friend me up if you like.

I had many great conversations and even learned a thing or two. Words cannot properly convey both the amount of appreciation I have for this thing happening and for the simmering anticipation for more of these to come(and any other meet-ups to come... cookout, anyone?).

Thanks also for all the kind words regarding my customs. It's good to know that I seem to be the only one that sees all the flaws in my work (lol)!

BTW, I had a custom figure win a super sweet prize in the contest as well, so that all the more validated the hard work I put into them! I think that means I can call my customs "Award Winning". I may be joking there, though I'm not entirely sure if I am or not.
