I'm sure we all remember the great Weapons Packs. I would love to see HASBRO embrace the customizers out there and give us more Weapons Packs. Maybe make the weapons real colors like Black or Brown instead of Red & White.

However, I have a new proposal. Since there are so many peg warmers and it costs hasbro a lot of money for new molded figures. So what we end up getting is re-painted crap like the red helmet air trooper, I propose Head Packs. What are head packs? Well, it would go something like this:

Pack 1 - Generic GI Joes (10 pack of unique generic heads) this can be used to put a head on your many DUKE, Breaker, Rock N Roll & Stalker figures to make a Joe army for your display cases. (Cause who needs 10 different DUKE figures?)

Pack 2 - Generic COBRA heads. Imagine Cobra troops of all ethnicities both male & female for your display cases. (May make 10 Cobra Commander figures seem a little easier on the eyes).

Pack 3 - Generic Ninja Heads (Red, Black & White masked) to use to customize your many Red Ninjas, Snake Eyes, Ninja Ku & Storm Shadow figures. (Again, these would need to be all unique sculpts).

This is only suggested as a replacement for the endless recarded figures that we are beginning to see being repainted by Hasbro and sold to us as "New figures". We don't want to see GI Joe turn into the Star Wars Clone Trooper waves. The concept can go to main characters but then you'd have to assume all people will all be customizing figures. (A dreadnock pack would only work if you planned to customize a Buzzer body and add a long coat plus a Monkeywrench head.)

This is just a suggestion. What do you think? Good or bad? Anything you'd change?

Yep that sounds like a good idea even we can use wrestler heads from the brawl WWE figures they are about right scale size.

I would think manufacturing heads without attaching them to a body would mean changing the manufacturing process. I don't see that being worth Hasbro's time/money just to sell... well, not a whole hell of a lot of product.

The same could have been said about the weapons packs. But they made them. To your point, maybe that's why we don't get them anymore. I realize the odds are we will never see this happen. The product would almost be geared directly to customizers or diarama builders.
