Cobra writer, Costa's new Joe...er DC book.

Mike Costa is writing a new DC universe book. The first issue was pretty good and very Joe like. It's called Blackhawks. Just an FYI.

Yep, I had the exact same thought.

Yep, DC hired Mike Costa to do this book because of Cobra. While Cobra is about spies/espionage, Blackhawks is very much heavy on action.

I like it so I'll subscribe to it.

I figured this to be true. Psst IDW...Costa can do a action heavy Joe book. Can he get the main title please?

As much as I love Cobra, Costa still has trouble setting up battle scenes and has made a few blunders in terms of military protocols. This is just based on some of the recent happenings in the Cobra book. He may have the chops for military action but I haven't seen proof that he'd do a better job than Dixon.

I got the digital version of the issue; haven't read it yet though. Judging by what I have read about the updated BLACKHAWKS it sounds very much in the vein of GI JOE; a cover action military force. I hope it is given a chance to find it's way.
