The commercial television stations in Gran Mayoria are a mix of banality, reality TV, lazy news coverage, and anti-Indigenous propaganda. Cobra Industries, meanwhile, has illegally taken over Indigenous Yanomi land. The growing problem of displaced Yanomi refugees, however, is of no concern to the television news and current affairs programmes.
