Neat! Cool find. Interesting to see some artwork for some of the figures that never made it to retail, or got their own packaging.

I love that figure, I just wish he had more color like the art depicts. He was like a rushed implementation. I hope the revisit this guy one day. Call him Snakes on a Plane or somehting better then "Air Viper"

Nice find Scroll142 and gunslingercbr. I always thought the artists behind the card art should get more recognition for their work.

Pretty cool stuff. I think I like the Recondo the best.
He mentions a Desert Viper below, isn't that actually the canceled Desert Hiss Scout Driver?

I love the behind the scenes look at how that amazing art is produced!
I've always been obsessed with the GI Joe box and card art. I'm waiting for a massive book focusing on just that!!

Nothing that has been released so almost impossible to guess. probably coincides with his following post:
Somewhere along the line the direction for the toy line changed and all of my guys fell into a two year limbo. I’m still not certain which ones made it to store shelves or not.
not to mention the reference pose for his Snake Eyes art.

You guys need to pay more attention, the classic GI Joe logo gives it away that it's a 12" figure. 1/18th Joes all use the various shield logo flavor (PoC Star, RoC logo, etc) of the line they're being released in. In this case, it's the 12" Army Paratrooper from the new 2011 line. He's simply shaded a bit green on the final packaging.
