Who will be headed to NYC for NYCC??

I'm gonna go on Sat. Most likely be there for late afternoon, early eve.

If anyone wants to meet up and say hello, just let me know...also I'm gonna park at Port Imperial in NJ and just ferry over (just incase any Tankers comming from here wanna meet in NJ 1st.)

RedEyes is going, but on Friday, not Saturday like you are.

I'm going to try and join him if I can get the night off from work, otherwise I will have to sleep all day in order to be up all night.

I'm a hop skip and a jump away yet I'll be at NJCC this weekend instead. NYCC kinda scared me. with the long lines, rediculous prices and a weird sense of minimal Joe presence! IMO of course.

I'm not going to NYCC because of financial reasons...but if you wanna put faces to names I can meet you at Port Imperial just to chat for a bit before you head over...its literally 10 minutes from me. PM me and let me know.

I'll be there all four days. The drive is taking its toll, I don't think I'm going to make it to the saturday night NJCC festivities tonight, I'm not even to pennsylvania yet, so Saturday night NYCC, we got to get a crew together to hit Manhattan after the con closes.

Does anyone know if you need anything to buy from the booths? Like a special wristband or anything like that?

It's my first convention and don't wanna the dumbass that has to step out of the line to get whats possibly needed to buy the exclusives.

No you don't, there is a lamanated pass that you get and thats all.

Would love to meet some NYC tankers at the convention. PM me if you want to meet after the Hasbro presentations.

My comic shop is selling 3 day passes but I can only go one day...It was supposed to be Sat but now it might end up being Fri night, not sure yet.

This is my 1st con too but I go to the bike show at the Javitz center every year. Can I just buy a pass at the door like I do for the bike show or am I gonna have to buy one before hand?

You should definitely buy it before hand. It will save you from waiting on the ticket line and possibly having it sell out. At least that's what I heard. Newyorkcomiccon.com has a list of comic shops selling passes. I would see if you get one before hand for sure. Let me know what you do man, we should meet up at some point if your going Friday

There used to be this "beer house" around the corner that had something called 5 point ale...if you drink it your head will explode its so awesome.

Not sure if the place is still there but its nyc...we can make do.

I will be there all 4 days as always. I've been enjoying the NYCC since year one. I was the curator for the Todd McFarlane Retrospective at MoCCA and got to meet all the Image guys, had a blast. But I digress...

I'll be there all 4 days, like I said, and would love to meet some fellow Joe collectors and customizers.

If guys are looking for a place to meet up for drinks I know of all the spots to get good drinks cheap. I'm talking the best deals in NYC all easy to get to from Javits and easy to leave from after enjoying them.

Will do man...yeah work is nuts, my stupid ass thought it went till like 10-11 pm. I'd be getting there when it closes if I went on Friday. I totally jacked up on planning this thing.

Oh well, check your pm box this way you have my # and if we dont catch up there I dont think you're all that far from me. I get into the city in about 25 min, Yonkers, Elmhurst in about 35-40...so when youre around and wanna chill or go on a hunt just hit me up.

I believe he said he'll be rocking his Punisher hoodie. Hope to meet some of you guys. I'm sure most will be at the Hasbro booth drooling over the new Joes. hahaha

Yeah it was, but like I said before since we were first timers we have alot to learn about how to budget our time better next time around.

By the way when you get a chance do a search for "NYCC 2011" on eBay and check out some of the free give-aways we might have missed.

I'm wondering if there is a master list for this stuff somewhere online. I could have sworn that I saw a "free swag" list for one of the past SDCC's so maybe there is such a list for NYCC as well.
