I can say this...

We are working on G.I. Joe by DiC.* Due to a NUMBER of other releases that have to come out this year, I'm not able to devote all the time necessary to get it out by December.* But I can say that you should look for it not too long after that, most likely.* Don't worry.* Time and effort are being put into it.* But we didn't set a date on purpose.

Do think that an annoucement will come soon? Perhaps at the NYCC? Is anyone planning on buying?

I would buy it if it comes out. There not great but still would like to have them

I wouldn't put too much money on it coming out in January - maybe in the spring? Probably is a matter of how much work they has to go into transferring the media to digital. As opposed to Sunbow - which Rhino had transferred previously so they knew some of the pitfalls and problems - DiC's Joe has not been transferred (at least legally) to digital so who knows the state of the shows or what they will have to use to recreate them digitally. Based on Shout's comments earlier, they usually don't even know until they start working on them how bad of shape things are and what they will have to do to release them - not to mention adding the bells and whistles to rounding out the set (interviews and other little extras).

Good - I for one will snap it up. From what I've seen, it's no worse that the Sunbow show, just 'bad' in a different (but still enjoyable) way. If nothing else, it's worth it for undoing the disaster perpetrated by the '87 movie.

Yes, the movie was terrible.Too bad they couldn't of done something better. I haven't seen the Dic episodes in years and i would pick up the set to watch again.
