I already texted a few of you guys about this, but I figured I'd share my findings during my lunchbreak today: I hit Dedham TRU (as I do every day) and brought with me one of the cardboard package inserts with the UPC on it from a Joe Trooper that I bought at Target last week. There was nothing on the pegs, but I scanned it at the self-scanner and it popped up as "GIJOE movie figure, $10.99". I then had a guy scan it with his PDA, which said there was one case in the back. He got it for me and sure enough (like all the other reports from today mostly at TRUs) there was a blue cobra commander, and a blue-caped joe trooper inside, much different than the cases I've been opening at Targets. All the rest were in the case too. I had been expecting the 2 "blue variants" (CC & Joe Trooper) to be a part of wave 2, but something has been switched up here and it looks as though it's a running change that may or may not be limited to Wave 1 case assortments.

The contents of the TRU case that I opened myself today were as follows:

2x Snake Eyes
2x Storm Shadow
1x Duke
1x Cobra Commander (blue outfit)
1x Zartan
1x Joe Trooper (blue cape)

I hit the Coventry Walmart hoping for some good clearance items - it seems to be the only WM that actually clearances items quickly. I knew they wouldn't have Joes and I was right. I grabbed the Walmart exclusive Star Wars TPM Droid pack for $15.

I'm looking for a Black CC, Red Ninja, Brown cape Joe Trooper, and Zartan. I haven't done much hunting beyond the Warwick TRU and some Walmarts. If anyone comes across them, think of me.

I agree, I think they will sell way too well to wind up at a discount retailer place that gets older stock in (like 5Below, Christmas Tree Shops, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, etc.), these figures were made specifically for dollar stores like Dollar General and it seems like they're not only selling extremely well with both collectors and scalpers, but they also seem to be DG exclusives, at least for now. Don't get me wrong, I want to see these at Family Dollar (another prime candidate) as badly as the rest, there's one 2 minutes from my office- but I'm not so sure that they will, I think someone would have heard something by now. Dollar Tree is probably out of the question, as everything there costs $1, and these have a $3.50-$6.00 price point.

I'm looking for a Black CC, Red Ninja, Brown cape Joe Trooper, and Zartan. I haven't done much hunting beyond the Warwick TRU and some Walmarts. If anyone comes across them, think of me.

Stopped by the TRU in Warwick this morning. They had a ton fireflies, cobra troopers (both), bio troooper, and the usual suspects...
plus a sole Retaliation Roadblock. He's still hanging if anyone is interested (I had to leave him due to funds).
I also checked the Warwick Ave Job Lot and it looks like someone pillaged the book sections. Only saw One transformers adaption CB.

I know, but they can't do anything in regards to ID theft. I'm pretty sure they stole everyone information (CC, email address, mailing address, names, etc)...basically, whatever you had in your account.

I had canceled my card before any charges came. I don't really want to do that every time I use it with them. I also don't really want to get a prepaid card and put $600 on it to get 2 sets when I really only want 7 figures.

Alright so I went to well the ends of the Earth Today.

The Target on Bald Hill had the Kamkura pack. Singles but no red ninja or Joe Troopers. It's the same for the Target in the mall.

The main difference is the Mall has no three pack but also has the Ghost Hawk and Two hiss present.

Walmart near Toys R Us has pegs but they are waiting there order to come in than they shall put the GI Joes up.

Toys R Us had the 4x4 and the boat. Which are 15 flat.

Hi how did everyone make out. I was able to have someone cover me at work and hit the bald hill target and scored 2 cobra commanders and 2 brown cape troops for deadpool13 (very cool cat I met the other week). Grabed a sole hiss too. I did not see any cobra troopers and had left the red ninjas. Happy vetrans day to anyone who the day is for or has family in the service.

I hit Cranston Walmart and picked up a Red Ninja for myself and a Super Articulated Spider-man for Legendkiller533 on the MA sightings.

They had one Cobra (Para) Trooper, one Joe Trooper (blue), on blue CC and a couple of SS, SE, and Roadblock still available as of 5pm.

They also had 2 Thanos/Warlock Comic packs and 3 Gambit/Sinister comic packs for $15.

Spidey movie figures galore if anyone is interested. I saw another Super Articulated Spidey and 3 movie Lizards, among others.

They also had the Captain America and Iron Man 6" Walmart exclusive figures.

I almost didn't get the Red Ninja. Two kids were checking out Joes and one had SS and the other had Red Ninja. Luckily I lingered long enough so when the father told them they couldn't buy them, I went over an grabbed it. It's a very nice figure. My only two minor complaints are he needs a place to store his swords and the hinged wrist should go up and down, not left to right.

I wasn't, but I joined. I didn't want to risk missing out on the set, and honestly, I think this year's set will go for more than last year's set did in the end. I know I can move the individual figures for a decent price, and the troop builders as well.

"The price tag is $129.99" ...so therefore we can assume that they'll magically sell out before they're even available, and the eBay prices will be roughly $7,999.00 plus $400.00 shipping. Anyone else notice a trend with show exclusives? Just wait and see. And as for those SDCC Hisstanks.... Really? I MIGHT pay $100 for one, but that's it. I'm no cheapskate either, paid ~$135 for my SDCC starscream last year (which was worth it because it's actually good quality, unlike the cheapness of the new Hiss. At least Fesifisky redeemed it), and I paid ~$75 each for my 2 TTT slaughters in '10. Craziness.

I think the regular retail Helicarrier is 3 ft.

The SDCC is 4 ft. and includes an exclusive Maria Hill figure.

Not sure if anyone has heard about this, but apparently there is a slight variation to the Retaliation red ninja- there is another thread somewhere on here about it but I figured it'd be easier for you guys to read it here. The "variation" is more of a paint texture application.

On ninjas that came in the cases with blue Cobra Commander and blue joe troopers (I've mostly found these at TRUs), the black undershirt, black trim on the torso (NOT the external sash), and the black straps on the feet are all painted gloss black, whereas the ninjas that have shipped mostly to Targets (with black Cobra Commander and the tan joe trooper), the ninjas have a softer, more matte finish in these areas.

It appears that the earlier glossier black ninjas were manufactured in the blue CC & blue JT wave, as the card date stamp is 20621: (62nd day of 2012) whereas the black CC & tan JT are carded with a 20751 date stamp (75th day of 2012).

Anyway, it's a subtle little detail but the difference is very obvious when held side-to-side. Sorry, I haven't taken any pics yet but it's definitely real and interesting nonetheless. Go check out your ninjas to see which versions you have!

That reminds me of the POC wave 3 Snake Eyes figures I have. One I bought at a Walgreens kinda has flat grey knee pads (they don't shine/reflect light) while all my others (and all the others I ever came across) have that semi-glossy grey paint on the knee pads that shines and reflects the light. I think it's more of a factory result than an actual variant. It's very subtle.

Definitely wait and don't overpay for a vehicon. Wave 4 of those figs is supposed to include 2 vehicons per case while a future wave after that is set to have 1 per case.

Only saw one once at Target, and it's try me weapon was broken in the package. Kinda just forgot about it since I was so dead-set on finishing POC.

Hell, I just got an orange Roadbuster a few days ago from Wal-Mart. I put DOTM on the back burner (and really didn't miss much) because at the time, completing POC Joes was my top toy hunting priority.

Really the only guys I might want are Skyhammer, Shockwave, Leader Sentinel, Leader Ironhide, Cyberverse Powerglide, HA Leadfoot, and some HA basics which I never saw in stores.

I've kind of grown to dislike current Transformers more and more, looking back and coming to a realization that the stuff from past lines was better. It has become harder and harder for me to make a purchase on new Transformers. I'm more likely to buy something else than a TF these days, and I used to be a big TF buyer. They've become simplified, smaller, more expensive, cheaper in quality, and figures I considered buying on sight (Prime First Editions) got cancelled. Adding to that, with DOTM we didn't get toys of a lot of the new characters. It was more of the same old guys and even with them, some were underused (Megatron) and some were overused (BumbleBee, Optimus). We did NOT need a Leader BumbleBee. That was BULLSHIT. And to think, we would have had a Leader Shockwave in his place but they thought the yellow bastard was more deserving of yet another large ass figure. So yeah, that's had an affect on how I feel about them.

The voyagers were around long enough to get clearanced at Walmart. I got an extra Skyhammer for $11 (clearance to $15 plus that $4 coupon off of $10 a while ago). I grabbed the extra for that HeadRobots set in the future. You need a time machine lol.

And Hasbro has needed to update the speeder bike. They've been using the same mold since 1983. We also need a BJ Biker Scout to sit on the bike.

I'm sure well find out about the sub at the con. I'm sure they read all the complying about how it want fair that you would have to spend money on the con set and the sub at the same time so they pushed it back again.. I think the should have open enrollment in sept till mid Oct. This gives everyone 6 weeks to get their affairs in order. Then they can ship figures starting in Jan. This gives them enough time to work on figures for 2014. Maybe I should work for the club, just saying.....:)

Sounds great! The new AT-AT is one of the best things to happen to the Star Wars line, I've seldom been so blown away by a new vehicle. I remember buying it a week before it was officially released when my TRU put 2 of them out on the shelf, it was 99.99, and the next week when I came back they were 109.99. I was in the same TRU this weekend and strangely ()after like 2 years) they have been restocked... the price now? 136.99. Almost $40 more than what I paid for it. I know the cost of oil and plastic is rising, but that's ridiculous. Anyone else noticed the drastic inflation at TRU? Anyway, I'll be picking one of the new ROTJ Endor AT-ATs up as well, but I just hope they don't throw some brown "forest stains" on there and recolor the white speeder bike like they did with the rerelease a few years back, even though they probably will. I hope we at least get a couple of cool new figures with it. I LOVED the Target exclusive "attack on Hoth" AT-ST set and the exclusive AT-ST driver that was included.

Isn't the new AT-AT white speeder bike a completely new mold? I believe it's different than the classic "exploding" one we got in '83 and '96. I still like that one though! And I think the single packed speeder bike with the scout trooper was that new mold as well, but I don't own it so I'm not sure.

Thanks to Fast_Draw for the Super Poseable Spider-man. Grabbed it today, and if you don't have one, get one! It is...well...Amazing!
Also, can't wait for those 5 packs, especially the Yavin pilots. Must-have. I'm interested to see if the Slave-I is a re-pack of the mold used for PotF, or if it will be new. If it's new BMF style, I'll have to start saving now! I have heard that the Speeder Bike is a new mold, and if that is the case I'll grab one for sure. I would LOVE to get an AT-AT, but money is an issue. If it weren't for E-Bay (not a mistake, won it brand new MiB for $62 delivered!) I wouldn't have been able to score my ultimate prize, the BMF. I'll have to stalk again for the AT-AT if you think it's really worth it.

The Big AT-AT is definitely a great vehicle but pales next to the BMF. I happily paid full price for my BMF. I didn't for the AT-AT - I won mine for $70 shipped brand new on eBay. It is a stellar peice of design and a worthy addition to any collection. I just don't have as strong of an attachment, hence buying it at a discount.

Slave I on the other hand is a must have at full price. I haven't bought a new one and still have my Kenner version. Once I saw the Clone Wars version, I eagerly waited for a repaint. I'm hoping this is it.

Bazooka trooper is a great figure. Why the sudden interest in him? I got several of those when they showed up at Marshall's a couple of Christmases back.

I ended up returning the 2 extra Joe Troopers to Target since I still had the receipt. The soft knees and two tone legs (upper leg and lower leg totally different shades of green) really turned me off to getting more. I've got 2 tan and 1 blue loose. I may try to get rid of those at some point.

I already have a few Bazooka Troopers, but they're perfect for all the extra Marauder guns I have since they don't come with a gun (bazooka and knife). I really like the vest, too.

If you end up getting rid of your Retaliation Joe Troopers, I'll buy one tan version. It's not crucial as I'm not army building them; I have a blue already so if I got another I'd want a tan. But if someone wants all 3, I won't be offended if you take that person's offer.

Yea, same here. I already had a few (4 or 5 I think...I'd have to check). I grabbed that loose/complete one yesterday and I just order a bunch from SmallJoes (They have them on clearance for $4.99).

As far as the Marauder guns, I usually just stick guns with figures based on what looks good and what fits in their hand well. I'm not the kind of guy that has to have all the same troopers have the same gun. I like some variety. I just got a set of wave 6 and some extras. In general, here are some my favorites overall:

Agreed- the bazooka trooper was one of the best of the 25th line. Most people preferred the darker, more muted blue for their blueshirts and I am inclined to agree... but this bright blue that they made him really makes him pop out from the others in the ranks. I love his webgear and netted helmet as well and he was PERFECT to repaint as the stinger driver later on towards the end of the 25th line! One thing I always do with my bazooka troopers is peg the handle of the bazooka into the backpack hole, as though he has it strapped to his back, so his hands are free to hold something else, like the pistol he comes with.

As I recall, the standard-release bazooka troopers did NOT come with the intended holster on the back of the webgear either, I had heard that it was a factory error when they were first manufactured but I'm not sure. The Stinger driver is corrected though and does have the holster. Beam- did the BTs you got from china have holsters? That's cool- wish I had some extras to glue onto my figures as well!

Mine included the holster on the back of the webgear, which I thought was standard. The only ones I have are from a china seller so that's my only exposure to them. I never bought any carded.

The one that came with the Stinger had the holster, but none of my Bazooka troopers did. I think I glued a holster on one of them, but that's it. Regardless, it's an underrated figure for sure.

I scored a silver PDD on eBay for under $40 shipped. Pretty good deal I think.

I feel lucky mine came with holsters, then. Their legs were really loose at the hips but I used the ol' super glue treatment and stiffened them right up. Also one helmet was ripped and I had to glue it. Small price to pay for holsters. I wish I had the money & talent to cast because I'd make a bunch of them. But I read on here that to get reall good casting equipment, you need to invest hundreds of dollars.

The driver figures are a different story- I have 8 or 9 cyber-vipers and would have loved a few desert scorpions.

My thoughts exactly! Paint it yellow with some caution striping (like the Aliens powerloader) and I'd be cool with it. I had a hard time pulling the trigger even at TJMaxx as well, but I did pick up one of each at $10 a piece. Still haven't opened them, but thought it right to at least own them.

Hasbro frustrated that even they cannot get them in RI so they are examining and brainstorming expanding availability for them. Sounds like it won't be easy but they
are going to try. They said they won't do a wave 2 anytime soon because they feel bad that people cannot even find wave 1 yet. NO word on repaints.

Those concept figures are some of the best stuff we've seen. It continues the greatness of the POC final wave. If the brand dies, please let it die by going out with a bang and producing every single concept figure. Even if it's a BBTS multi-pack exclusive or part of the Club subscription service.

I helped the guy out on getting an Avengers Hawkeye some weeks back and I can confirm he's a db. One of the most drawn out and difficult transactions I've had on the Tank. The kicker is he asked me to grab it for him.

When you walked away, did any of the strippers say, "what's a matter? 'Fraid of a little pu$$y?" I had a black stripper say that when me and my 3 white friends walked past an all-black strip club in Philly while attending Wizard World.

I think he will definitely show up, but since to the general public and most lay joe fans he is unpopular or virtually unknown (except for comics readers), their fear is that he will be a wasted effort and a pegwarmer. I've seen this a few times in the past, a "concept" figure or part of a "concept" figure shows up on display at a convention to gauge interest, then somewhere down the line (if the parts are tooled and exist), the figure eventually comes out. I think its Hasbro's way of testing the waters. I also believe that we will eventually see a cobra la pack/set either at a convention or as a 7-pack, etc, regardless of how many times Hasbro has vowed that they won't make them. Sure, call me a naive optimist, but eventually the Hasbro concept and design team will virtually run out of ideas- and if the positive response was there at joecon, why not go ahead with it? Why dangle those teases in front of us if we will "NEVER" see them? "Concept" is an arbitrary word that means more of "potential" than outright "Cancelled". If we'd never see these in any regard, Hasbro might have kept them locked up back home in Pawtucket or never even have mentioned them. Besides, with an original ARAH line on its way towards being completely redone in the ME style, who at hasbro/the club could resist 'finishing the line off'? With the appearance of relatively second level obscure characters like Voltar, NF Falcon, big bear, dragonsky, Darklon, Annihilator, etc being made, how long until we get a heat viper, laser viper, frag viper, CG Immortal, cobra la guard, etc?

In other news, I found an entire unopened case of SW vintage wave 12(?) figures at Peabody Target on Friday night, opened it myself. Got a mint crisp Darth Malgus, Navy Death Star trooper (awesome figure), Vader, Hoth Luke, and Anakin.

Also visited a walgreens to find the TFPrime vehicon wave for $14.99- minus the vehicon of course.

I'd trade the Skystriker for a few of Bazooka Troopers (probably 4...4 x $8 = $32, which is still less than what the Skystriker cost me as I bought that extra one when it first came out). I'd consider selling it for less than what I paid though.

I'd have to think about the Shadow Tracker. It would probably take more than 1 considering his scarcity and the fact that I paid drugstore prices for him.

5Below next door has some older Spidey figures for $5. I grabbed a Toxic Blast Venom and Green Goblin. There was one other Venom, 2-3 Green Goblins, and 1 Doc Ock remaining. All the rest were various incarnations of Spider-man.

Good luck finding it. Distrobution has made finding new SW figures a fraking snipe hunt. I went into a Walmart this morning and out of about 10 figures they had 4 Qui Gon on the pegs. And Quilan Vos was one too so I know they're from a TPM case.

The only beacon of light was the Warwick Walmart Atomsmasher visits frequently. They had Wedge, BJ hips Vader, Hoth Luke, Clone Anakin, and501St Trooper.

Opened my Vader last night- he's nice! He can stand in some great poses, but I'm a little bummed that his neck doesn't have somewhat of a ball joint- oh well. Does anyone else's have a strange little bump on the left side of the helmet forehead? I figure it might be a little plastic defect but want to make sure it's not part of the mold for some strange reason (like the old '78 blue snaggletooth's dented boot).
