I wanted to bring this guy to the forefront, a personal favorite unproduced figure of mine that I'd love to see somewhere down the line. Thoughts?

So basically a Chuckles repaint with a new head and maybe "apron" (unless they repainted Spirit's loincloth or something) and Baroness' rifle.

Has anyone fleshed out the parts, james? It looks like recondo's top for sure, with Doc's head? And recondo's legs.

Would be good in a 2-pack with a Kitchen Viper. :)

I always wanted a figure of the Cobra heli-carrier cook...

I'll tell you guys the story on Chef as I know it.

This figure was thought up by Hasbro as a mail away for G.I. Joe Action Stars cereal in 1987 (get the clever food tie in?), but ultimately it was decided that a chef character wouldn't be enticing to kids so they instead decided a jet pack flyer would be more exciting, and thus Starduster was born. Chef uses all the same parts as Starduster version A and includes Baroness' rifle, as well as presumably some kind of flexible apron accessory ala: Spirit. As far as I know this figure never got past the concept art stage.

I've seen that art before but never knew it's backstory. I think it would be a fun idea to see Chef produced. I'm looking forward to seeing some customs show up now.

I like the cheese grater strapped to his left hip and the wooden spoon strapped to his right. Code named: Cookie.

I found the photo at this link:

STA: Gi-Joe: Unproduced "Chef" Artwork (http://www.toyarchive.com/Gi-Joe/Prototypes/ArtworkChef.html)

but wanted to add the background myself (I sent it minutes before I left work and didn't see the .gif bs). Again here it is:

I knew, he's the precursor to Starduster, that's probably why I like him even more. I just think he's fun. The best part is he's easy to do. While I don't think the Club will make him part of the subscription, (this time around) I hope they go this direction for one or two figures. Cost effictiveness + fun = a great combo for club and us

I've been hearing Chef come up in some conversations lately and wanted to hear what other's thought. What type of Character do you think he would be? (personality wise) Besides cooking, what do you think he would provide to an elite strike force?

Anyone wants to donate the ARAH parts, I'll scratchbuild an apron and utensils and cast it up. ARAH figures are cheap to cast because they don't have to be the resin that I use for 25th stuff and can all be cast in hard (not flex AND hard).

I can do this....I think the comic pack Flint can also be used. I think the buzzer head would be better.

If I could get a hold of some of the parts Im missing, I think a modded Buzzer would work well for the head.
