I have decided that I will watch Milla Jovovich in anything. LOL.

I loved all the RE films except the first one. I thought the last one (Afterlife) was awesome, but my fav is the second one (Apocalypse) because that one had Jill Valentine; I'm glad it looks like Sienna Guillory will be back for the 5th one.

I don't game so I don't have a comparison, but as films the first 4 were pretty decent action flicks.

I have a lot of time for Milla - Her looks are far more memorable than your 'average' supermodel, she has surprisingly good acting chops and seems to be engagingly barmy in real life. I'll pretty much watch an action film just because she's in it regardless of the quality (*ahem* Ultraviolet) because she trains hard and put her all into the part.

As for the RE movies themselves, I admit that I enjoy them a lot (especially the much maligned Apocalypse) - Thought number four faltered a little, but the cliffhanger was cool and promised some nice babe fights in part five (and at the end of the day, isn't that what really counts?).

Well yes, maybe gamers do hate them, but as someone with zero interest in the games (i have played RE2 and CODE VERONICA, just to see what the fuss was about, and wasn't too impressed) I declare that I find them enjoyable horror/action hybrids.

I was a HUGE RE gamer back in the day. I was the only one with a Playstation and I used to have like 10 guys at my place when I first got Resident Evil. It CHANGED the face of gaming. AMAZING to this day and REALLY disappointed they havent basically updated it from the original for us on the PS3. I would LOVE to have that game, the EXACT layout plus a little extra with all the same monsters, etc., but from a Resident Evil 4 POV.

I didnt like the next couple. 2 was OK, hated 3 and 4 was REALLY AWESOME! But I hate 5. Played it for an hour and have never touched it again.

The movies....Ive been on the fence. I tried not to expect much out of the first one and it was a good popcorn movie if you forget about the game. The rest have been off and on for me. I recently saw the last and thought it had potential but was pretty lame in a lot of places.

If you dont connect the game to the movies I suppose theyre OK popcorn movies. Ill see the next one when it comes out, but I dont expect it to mimic the game or be the best movie ever. They are what they are.

I don't dislike the movies just because they don't follow the games exactly, I dislike them because they just plain suck. I am bored out of my mind when watching them.

I started with RE2 on the PS1; think it was my second PS1 game after NFL Gameday. RE2 was such an awesome gaming experience; plus it had its scary moments too. My fav will always be RE3: Nemisis though.

I'm also a big fan of Milla for all of the reasons you mentioned. She works hard and has a wide range. I'm a big RE fan to boot, so it's a win/win for me.

I've been a fan of the RE games from day one, I preordered the first game on PS1. I've played just about every RE game to death.
Normally, I want movies to be true to the game story wise, however I've found that these films are so entertaining, I'm willing to look at them as a parallel story line that does not follow the game. I'm totally ok with that.

You should check out RE archives for the Wii. It's pretty much exactly what you just asked for. It's basically the first RE game redone with absolutely amazing artwork. They added many new great puzzles, its longer, the action feels even more precise, and most importantly; it's creepy as shit. It really captures the creepiness of the original.

My opinion is that they should've stopped after the first one. It was a decent enough prequel to the game lore. The last one with the Redfields... it, it just looked awful from the seven or eight minutes I saw of it in the final showdown with Wesker.

I reckon these movies must track well with those who spend a lot of time watching Oxygen though. They're always playing them. You know, when Xena reruns aren't on...

She was also Helen of Troy in that USA network miniseries... I bought the DVD for that miniseries; I'm pretty sure they used a body double for some of the scenes though. LOL.

Michelle's character is Rain, she was a S.T.A.R.S. agent in the original movie.

As a hardcore fan of the game series from the PS1 RE game, there is so much that just sickens me about the movies. Since I can turn that off, though, I do enjoy the movies as horror action flicks with a hot lead femme.

Watched Retribution on DVD and absolutely loved it. It is pure unapologetic video game fan service. Just seeing Jill Valentine and Ada Wong onscreen together was pure awesomeness. I'm kinda of a RE fanboy though, so my opinion might not be too objective. LOL.

Oh... and live action Leon Kennedy looks as cheesy as you would expect him to be. LOL.
