If you listen carefully it sounds like he was possibly going to be Sgt.Slaughter before the rights fell through (especially when he says about deciding if the Joes are on the team or not).

I'm probably wrong but I have no idea what character he could be. It didn't even seem like he knows who he's playing either.....

Here's me playing devils advocate again :) He could have had a cold, and been up a long time, I'm assuming he was at SDCC since the logo was all over the back ground. Also, the "handlers" looked like they were people trying not to wind up in the shot or walking by.

Now news wise, I saw nothing really new here than we saw in his interview while talking about Journey. Sure we got an expanded version of when Sommers found out about Joe being greenlit and we got to find out little things like Fraiser actually does some research about characters he's gonna play.

I might have to watch the interview again but it sounded like he didnt like the way gung ho looked in cartoon or comic or toy form so he wanted to jazz the character up and put a beret and a gun strap on or something.

I'm one of the people that commented on the clip on YouTube. There's simply no denying that he was on something, and judging from his personality, I'd say it was coke.

He strikes me as an actor that has to be managed in a movie. He was good in Gods & Monsters. Ian McKellen made that movie, though. Frasier is likely a director's actor. Meaning that we'll be getting nothing from him in this movie since Mr. Sommers is the director. The Mummy, Van Helsing, Scorpion King? He's not written or directed a single movie worth watching.

Why does the movieverse Rock N Roll Need Blond hair or beard.
