that the Transformers (2007 not 1987 homie!) movie with it's three military heros will wind up being a better G.I.Joe movie than the one being released next year?

Hopefully not very good as I think most of us are going to come away liking the movie. I'm looking forward to it and usually stay away from these threads, arguing about something no one has seen yet is pointless to me. Have fun rehashing the same points fellas.

Transformers never had a focus on the soldiers, so it's not a fair comparison to GI Joe which is all about the special unit.

basiclly this movie is going to suck, cause I can see it's just going to be a Sigma 6 movie, not G.I.JOE that we know.

The story should be based on the first comic, and then continuing with Hawk as a general and new Joes and Cobras appearing and new vehicles fighting in New York city.

Joe's wear green uniforms, not black, and there shouldnt be any Vipers, just cobra troopers and officers first.

this movie may possibly not completely suck,but it will kill the g.i.joe brand as we know it. If it is a sucess,it will become the face of the brand, distorting the next generation of joe fans perception of what g.i.joe is and what it is suppose to be. From the very begining g.i.joe has been one thing and that is military based. How do you take that aspect out of it. If the movie bombs, no retailer is going to want to touch anything g.i.joe,so the 25th/modern era line would possibly become an on-line exclusive collectors line,which will really raise the price and make it damn near impossible to obtain,and thats if hasbro bothers to continue the line. That is why i am considering the release of this film the death of G.I.Joe.
