Official Sideshow Navy SEAL Torpedo Request Thread

I thought I'd create an official thread requesting for Sideshow Collectibles to do G.I. Joe's first Navy SEAL - Lt. Edward "Torpedo" Leialoha as its next 12-inch figure.

Below are some pics of current Navy SEAL figures done by other companies to glean ideas from.

I'd like to see Torpedo done with the following:

-black/grey wetsuit
-harpoon gun
-mask and oxygen tanks
-flippers, which could be hung from his backpack
-woodland camo BDUs
-floppy hat
-SMG
-pistol/silencer
-special designed backpack to carry all his gear!

They could also do a Wet-Suit conversion, just give him a few different accessories and the sea green/white wetsuit, along with camo seen in the land version from the Python Patrol con set. Also, a different head sculpt and colored hands since Torpedo is Hawaiian and would be a light tan color.

I would definitely get Torpedo and would pay extra for different suits. Is it too much to have either the wet suit and related accessories or the woodland BDUs be in the exclusive package?

If he is an ARAH re-image yes...if he is a copy of a real life geared SEAL like Carzy Dummy makes, then no...can purchase that kind of thing from them...Sideshow is already doing a killer job with their current deisgn team's reimaging of the ARAH looks

I agree...Sideshow would have to give their "treatment" to the typical SEAL figures that already have been done. I included the pics as reference to elements that would make up Torpedo, especially the SEAL Recon Diver as pictured above. But, yeah...he would have to have the original Torpedo's black/grey wetsuit, harpoon gun and scuba gear as a minimum.

I've been saying Torpedo (or one of the SEALs) should be next for a while. I certainly support this initiative. We just need something a little different from the others we gotten so far... a SEAL with a lot of cool gear for amphibious operations would be great.

Yeah, that is why I created this thread. I think the Sideshow line is phenomenal, and got me to stray away from the 3 3/4 line. I just don't want it to lose momentum with doing plain military figures. A navy SEAL like Torpedo would definitely spice things up a bit and could set the bar as far as gear for the line. Wet-Suit and the EEL as well. Thanks form the shout out and let's keep this rolling!!!

Yeah I'd be all for it. So far I've gotten 13 Sideshow Joe/Cobras and I love'em all. I still get 3 3'4 inch scale.

This is interesting. Would be a fine line between just another Navy Seal and Torpedo (Gi Joe SEAL). There are a ton of 12" Seals out there so it would be difficult to "personalize" it with GI Joe. Just slapping a GI Joe label on it won't work.
