G.I. Joe Comic #8 Lt. Falcon Vs Nemesis Immortal

Lt. Falcon is mostly made up of a Duke body. He has a new head and lower legs. He has the hip holster but I didn’t find a gun for it anywhere. The green color of the body is much too light, it throws the look of the figure off a bit. Lt. Falcon’s head looks pretty good, sort of like a combination between the comic and cartoon. This figure is easily on the low end of this wave of comic packs but there are some great surprises here. Namely the backpack. Where the original only had a removable antenna and knife, this version has all that plus an opening flap and removable radio! All these new features and it still looks just like the original backpack. Lt. Falcon comes with a Shotgun, Knife, Radio, Antenna, Backpack and GI Joe Stand


Really, the accessories are the only things that are great about this figure to me. He’ll be good for customs since he has a new head and a generic body.

Nemesis Enforcer is a favorite character of mine. So when Hasbro made Nemesis Immortal, I knew I had to get this set (Even though I really didn’t want a Lt. Falcon figure) Thankfully, Hasbro didn’t disappoint me with this figure. He’s using most of a Serpentor body with new hands, lower legs and head. The new belt and chest harness disguise the Serpentor body completely. Just like the original, Nemesis Immortal has two backpacks. One is some green tentacles and the other is the bat wings. This time around, the bat wings are bigger, more detailed and are movable! They have a hinge to allow them to go straight out from the back or get spread out to either side. The elbow spikes are now part of the wrist gauntlets and move along with the hands. I’m not too crazy about that, but it’s a minor thing I can overlook. Nemesis Immortal comes with a Tentacle Backpack, Bat Wings Backpack and a Cobra Stand.

While not the best of this wave of figures, Nemesis Immortal is definitely an awesome toy and well worth the buy for me.

Well I know tons of people who don't like the falcon figure or charcater but he was my number one fave as a kid and despite the duke arms he's my fave figure so far. The nemesis enforcer is pretty cool too and im workin on a way toput the green tentacle things on his back while the wings are on there too. Still so far this pack is my fave one yet, next to tripwire and probably will be for the rest of the line. :>

I love NEMESIS INFORCER he's always been a huge favorite of mine.

I'm very happy w/ my comic 2 pack, the only gripe I have is that NEMESIS ENFORCER's legs are extremely loose and floppy and hard to pose.

I hate anything Cobra La but at the same time I wanted to collect all of the 25th line. I'm not sure what to do. Just buy it to have it all or skip it because I don't want it and then be incomplete.

I'm just focusing on the figures. I am quite upset at how Hasbro treated Falcon. He is a loved character (maybe not by all) but he is my favorite and he deserves a single carded figure with a better mold and paint job. I hope someone at Hasbro reads this. Release a single carded Falcon and put some effort into it. You are slowly ruining this series with sub par figures and too many multi-packs with repaints or poorly done retools.

I just bought and opened this comic pack and am pleased with both figures. However I think the comic was a missed opportunity.

Larry Hamma could have given Cobra-La a more "acceptable" origin story- something like they were all just genetically engineered super-soldiers and experiments ala Serpentor. Or that they were remnants of an evil ancient civilazation but not tied to Cobra Commander's or Cobra's origin like the lame animated movie. Or even that they are fictitious characters that plagued Cobra Commander's nightmares.

Turning CC into a snake-man was worse than outright killing Optimus Prime (in their respective movies). At least Prime's character was not ruined before he died...

true, but it also came out a year and a half later. Falcon would be one of the best figures in the line if he would have had TF Flints arms and an accurate camo.

I saw these at my local TRU and must say I was not impressed; both figures had terrible paint apps, as well as paint choices...plus, Falcon's head sculpt it just pathetic. I actually wanted a Nemesis for some time now, but I'm going to pass on these and save my money for the next wave.

On the other hand, the IG Trooper and Tripwire rock! Hell...even cobra commander turned out to be a decent figure.

Of both figures from this comic pack I like only Nemesis Enforcer. Lt. Falcon is a mess of a joe action figure. I will buy it but Falcon will become the first anniversary joe figure from my personal collection that I plan to customize. I will give him a pair of TF Flint's upper arms repainted, Storm Shadow's lower arms(I think TF Flint's don't fit him because they are so Popeye lookalike) and a custom head and hands from Alyosha or Tri-Gate Creations.

I'm planning on using my Falcon and making a custom Night Force Falcon. At least I can take an abomination and make it halfway decent.

This just seemed like a throwaway wave for me. Not a fan of Nemesis, don't need another Destro, the Falcon is for the most part lame, and my IG has loose/bent legs. Figures with extra holsters for nothing and characters that need more holsters.

So far the only brightspot is you can pose Cobra Commander exactly like Captain Morgan.

I love this pack. Falcon was a favortie of mine as a kid. I hated Cobra La but still used NE quite a bit when I was little. I have totally revamped Cobra La in my Joe Verse to an organization that is a combo terrorist group/secret society. My Joe verse works on the premise that there tech is always 10 years in the future from today so mild Sci Fi works. Cobra La are just regular people who are highly advanced in technology and bio engineering. NE is just a guy sporting a highly advanced battle suit.

Hmm...Cobra-la, not among my favorites, but it is nice to see them branching out into more aspects of the Joe universe.

The only part I semi-liked about the Cobra-la stuff was tke bug-eyed trooper with the big blade. That was a nice 'alien' enemy mold.

Now that I have the Nemesis Immortal in my possession, I really like it. Falcon doesn't do much for me, but his accessories are cool. Anyway, NI is very cool - even though the introduction of Cobra-La began to turn me away from GI Joe when I was younger, I still had the set then, and wasn't thrilled with the original wings. But these are really quite impressive. While I still don't think they have a place in GI Joe world, I love the figure overall, despite the weak legs that make it difficult to pose. Overall for NI from me: 7.5/10.

My brother & I got this pack today & I really like it!! I am a big Falcon fan & a fan of the '87 Movie & thought these figures were evn better than expected!! There's a few nitpicks (like Falcon's lack of pistol & light green color) but the comic was also one of the best so far of Hama's comic pack works!! Nemisis looks just like the Animated Movie & Falcon strangely resembles a friend of mine... lol.

So, what's with the sheathed knife missing from the web gear. I knew something was amiss when I got mine, and now I realized what it is.

In earlier photos of the comic pack, Falcon had the knife on the right side of his gear. Got the figure... and nothing.

Anyone know what the deal is on that one?

I think the green buggy thing is a weapon and is supposed to be attatched to other figures as if 'attacking' them, not stuck on Nemesis Enforcer himself.

Got all three new packs at last (thanks to Arch2b) and as I expected, I hate NE (can't think of anything nice to say about him) but love Lt Falcon - Considering I was always a bit indifferent about him I consider that quite an achievement. Duke arms are a pain, but judging him otherwise, I'm hapy.
The missing pistol is silly, but I gave him a MJ Beretta and it fits his holster perfectly. Mine came with a knife too...

HOLY CRAP! Nemesis Enforcer looks like a BEAST compared to his original figure! I'm glad to see that despite all the Cobra-La hate out there they did him right. He dwarfs almost every other figure except Destro. Now he LOOKS like a guy who could tear an APC apart with his bare hands!

Falcon's paint job is sloppy, and his camo is terrible. I'll tell you guys what though, his backback is awesome! If any of you guys have some grenades left over from a MJ order, the little empty space next to the radio in the pack is the perfect place for them! Gave mine a frag AND a Willy Pete (for extra comic accuracy) and filled the RAM saddle bags with the rest.

cool review! I Love the nemisis "immortal" he is a beast! I have the old one and is nothing compared to this "monster" of a figure!

the only gripe I could think of after seeing the comparison's on the old and new falcon is the arm's.....if only Hasbro gave him the TF flint arms it would be perfect! I could care less on his box chin as well.
