Hey All,

As I was watching the DiC series I thought I would grab some screen caps. So that I could post them. Seeing some of the late 80's and early 90's characters animated was nice and now here are some stills.

I grabbed some classic looking shots as well as some weird ones only the cartoons could get away with. :)

Sorry the quality isn't the best. It's all I had to work with. I'm sure if the DVDs come out we'll get some better caps.

This is making me all nastolgic, lol. The great thing about the DiC series vs Sunbow, all the various Vipers were there. In sunbow, not so much, but DiC had most if not all shown. Plus Falcon got hooked on the junk, I imagine him sounding like pookie from New Jack City.

These are cool! I don't think I ever saw a single episode of the Dic series, but it looks like they did a good job of accurately drawing the figures as cartoons. I love the pic of Cobra Commander with a chef hat on.

Yeah, that episode was really weird. It showed Headman die and at the end his hand was sticking out of the rubble, then it just cut to a black image with red writing that said "Drugs Kill"

Wow! Thanks for posting guys! I really don't remember a lot of the DiC series. I always remember USA Network running the Sunbow cartoons with a few DiC episodes here and there.

I only remember the series against Headman and never knew that so many of the Battle Corps figures made it into the show along with Ninja Force.

I really really hope Shout! ends up releasing these on DVD.

EDIT: Oops, I was thinking that Duke, Destro, & Wetsuit were Battle Corps. On second look at YoJoe I see they were before that.

Unfortunately, no release date was ever given. Shout! had an advertisement in the back of the program comic at JoeCon 2011 and listed it along with a few other 80's cartoons as "coming soon." Nothing else has been said, as far as I know...

What was the deal with all of the Vipers having female counterparts?

It's funny how little of this cartoon I remember. I know I must have seen every episode, but I only can remember bits and pieces of a few episodes.
