Yeah, I guess it was due to some of the cast not getting along or something. Not sure if its true, but it really felt like they more they planned with his character, then bam, they killed him.

Kinda like when the two actresses got DUI's, then they killed them off almost imediately.

yeh it did seem a bit strange,and the deaths were rather abrupt...i just wish we knew what that smoke monster is!!!
