2nd Aussie custom comp. Vote for your favorite Aussie custom.

It seems us Aussies are at it again. Some of you might have see the first Aussie comp, if not have a look here: http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-joe-customs-contests/132767-aussie-skymate-custom-comp.html (http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-joe-customs-contests/132767-aussie-skymate-custom-comp.html) This is the second Aussie custom comp, a friendly custom competition held by and for Australian Tankers. We have been working on our customs for the last month getting them ready to be judged by our fellow Tankers from around the globe.

This time we decided to do original Australian characters that could fit within one of the many factions of Gi Joe and Action Force ie: Cobra, Mars, Red Shadows etc. There were no rules on parts used as long as they fit in with the 4 inch scale. All customs have to have a file card explaining the character.

All customs must be posted in this thread by midnight on the 9th of September.

Once all customs have been posted I will put up a poll and the voting can begin. Voting ends at midnight 11th September.

The Tassie winter is not a good time for painting, so the PTE Figure I was intending to enter couldn't be completed because the paint wouldn't take, so instead you got a kitbash.

I voted for TJ if you want to know Ex. Painting white is a pain in the ass and he did a great job on him. The accessories are top notch as well right down to the gloves and pads.

Lots of great work fellas. I really want to know how you did the Dragon Hawk cockpit though...

pretty simple, i got hold of an old skystorm cockpit, which is a good fit. dremelled out most of the middle of the original cockpit and dropped the skystorm one straight in. a few bits of styrene to hide some gaps, some greenstuff to neaten all the rough edges and a quick spray job.

The dragonhawk is pretty forgiving, as the cockpit sits fairly low in the body
theres a lot you wont see around the edges so you dont have to get to fancy with it, just as long as it looks decent looking straight down on it

What a great contest! I voted for Scope because of the amount of work that obviously went into him. It was a tough choice because Mozzie just looks so badass.

Major props to Boomer and Ranga, I especially loved the old photo of Boomer saving Ranga, LOL! My favorite photo though was dingo taking a nap with the Croc. I look forward to the next one!

Texas.. the climate is about the same.. we have our natives like you have yours.. and instead of Kangaroos and Tasmanian Devils, we have Armadillos and Raccoon big enough to haul off small dogs.. or children... which ever is more available.
