Popped into my local Wal-mart today to find some of the 30th figures...Stalker, Iron Grenadier, Cobra Trooper (x2), and Cobra Viper. I bought one of the Troopers and the Viper. Two incredible figures I must say!Yes they are! I really like the 30th Viper and Blue Shirt figures! I picked up one of each from TRU and that was the only time I saw them at retail. I have two more coming in the mail.

Welcome to the Tank! I'm in Clearwater. Emerald City has cool stuff but like you said it's a bit marked up. Basically the newest stuff right now is at Toys R Us and Wal Mart. Target hasn't gotten lately except the Skystriker (if you don't have one grab it!). If you like 25th style figures then Ross, Marshall's and TJ Maxx are great. If there is anything in particular you need, shoot me a PM cause I probably have it.

On the plus side I did wonder by a garage sale the other day near Kendall Dr. I was driving to see my mechanic about a bad A/C compresor when I spot a table full of toys in front of this dude's house. He had a Masters of The Universe castle playset that caught me eye, The He-man stuff was in terrible shape but I got a black and gold Cobra Rattler i'd never seen before. Apparently it was a TRU exclusive a while back. It was mint in box and was only 30 bucks. Made my day.

I still haven't found 30th Wave 2, but I've been cleaning up and feeding my army builder beast as Wave 1 hits heavily. I need to catch up on my Marvel Universe stuff, I still haven't picked up any of the 5 team packs(FF, FF Variant, Avengers, X-Force, GotG) or the Sentinel in either color scheme. Also still hunting for a King Loki and a second Lady Sif. I have one, but I can't bring myself to open her until I find another.

Once again the re-packers strike! I was at my local WM which sadly doesn't carry GI Joe anymore so I was shocked to see some carded figures at the end of the aisle. There were six 30th Vipers on the pegs and all six were re-packs. The Vipers and all their weapons/accessories were switched with what looked like a Cobra figure from 90's with two chunky guns rattling around the package. The bubbles were all sealed with super obvious white/magic tape. The figures and weapons definitely didn't fit in the pack but they were priced $6.00 anyhow.

I've never seen so many re-packs as I have in the last few months but I've given up on reporting them since the WM personnel just don't give a shit and they usually just wind up back on the pegs the next day.

They do. I was hesitant to buy it cause of the whole "weapons make real sounds" thing. The color didnt help but my friend was with me and was like

I've found it all in Jacksonville and North Fl. wave 2 and 3 and finally a steel Brigade. Motherload at Wmart on Rosevelt in Jax 3CC new 3 Fflys and 3 Dukes and 3 SE. I also have a new Wmart that's close to me but not most collectors evidently. I found a freakin MU X23, 2 Commander Steve Rogers and a Sub Marinor! Laso I love the world Peace keepers! these vehicles are so damn awesome! also look at the black mesh vest on the cammel guy and the delta force pack. its exactly like SE 1991/92 (my fav)and or a SAW Viper customs. Thar Hornet plane is rivaling the skystriker and the Helicopters are just bad ass! WPKeepers are my new goldmine for custom fodder and a really good vehicle fleet. Better than Corps in many ways. If they stepped iy up a little more on thier figs an had better heads and a little better bodies they could really take on some Joes!

This, to me, is better than a Penthouse letter. I always take a peek at garage sales as i'm driving by, and it's always toddler toys. I remember passing on that Rattler more than once in TRU. It came out around the same time the Mobat was re-released along with the Slugger. By then, the plastic quality of the figures were at its lowest.
I remember passing on just about everything just 'cause the figures looked so cheap. The late 90's were dark times for joe collectors.

Doral WM has 3 IGs, 3 Stalkers, and one Dragon (unless that fellow tanker i ran into got it). Kendall WM has nothing. International TRU just restocked Wave 1. They also had one Vamp, 2 Dragons, and 4 Skystrikers.

Wrong Rattler. You are thinking of the A-10 which was a green camo Rattler painted for the GIJoe team. That was in 1997. This gold Rattler was from about 2003. The Slugger was long off the shelves by then.

The quality was just awful, like a bootleg. And that stupid motorcycle couldn't keep anything on it, you couldn't even steer it! Doral WM still stocked with Renegades and 30th (except SB & Blueshirts). 3 Black Dragons and a Vamp. Passed on the Renegades. I went with the intention of getting them, since i've been following the show, but something about the aesthetic put me off. I think it's because they are caught between the cartoon and the modern figures. I would've preferred the show's aesthetic, but i understand that Hasbro didn't want to limit its market.

I finally caved and bought the Vamp (for the Delta figure).

International TRU had like 3-4 of each last wednesday, by friday, all SBs were gone, but everything else was still there.
I passed by the Kendall TRU beginning of last week, and they had Hazard Vipers and a Stalker, so they probably restocked by now.

Now that i've opened the Vamp, i can sum up my reaction to the SB Delta's unpainted mask under the helmet in one of Einstein's most famous quotes: "I don't get it! I don't get it!"... or was that John Heard in Big? Either way, he needs a new head. He looks like a Snake eyes wanna-be.

I don't think so, but the fact that the ARH has started to show up, as well as other assortments gives me great hope. I think we'll definitely see it by December.

Well I've yet to get screwed by BBTS, in fact they are the only on-line Joe dealer that hassnt done me wrong.

When the POC wave 1 came out I pre-ordered them 3 months in advance. They ended up hitting TRU and Walmart before I got mine and I passed up on them cause I was sure the online store (which will remain name-less) would ship mine out soon. Well they didnt, they canceled my pre-order a week later and by then TRU and walmart had sold out. I had to go to ebay to get em.

Then the Sky striker dilema. I pre-ordered mine, payed for it. Target got them in and the online store didnt ship mine out till 3 weeks later. I had to sit there for 3 weeks watching people buy up multiples all over Targets and I didnt have one......it was like 2nd grade all over again! all the kids brough GI Joe Dragonflies and Skystrikers to show N tell and my parent wouldnt even buy me a trouble bubble! ...*sob*.

It has been for a while, as well as the ARH, IFV, and the jeep with the trailer; but are only recently starting to show up. I'm not really sure whether some had been out before and are now showing up again. I know that some that are still in the back of the boxes i had to get through JC Penney.

Doral WM has a whole bunch of IGs and Hazard Vipers. Saw a guy in scrubs take 2 Black Dragons, leaving one. Parking was a nightmare.
International TRU has IGs, Stalkers, and HPs.

Yup...but if you check your BBTS orders under preorders the price is listed under subtotal, wich means they'll probably add the shipping after.

The confirmation does not include shipping charges since they're an estimate based on estimated weight, dimensions, and current shipping rates. It's standard for all pre-orders, since there is no guarantee that UPS/USPS/FedEx rates will remain the same by the time they get to shipping them out.

I hope you find a permanent position somewhere. I know that with the holidays coming up they're looking for more drones than management, but hopefully you'll get lucky.

As to the purpose of this thread: Thank you to whoever bought that 7th AD at the Kendall Target. 6 more to go. I'm tempted to buy them and return them after they've restocked. I still don't understand why they haven'd put them on clearance.

I found wave 6 several times at Toys R Us stores in Clearwater, New Port Richey, Wesley Chapel, and Tyrone. Never saw wave 5 at retail. I ended up ordering both from Smalljoes though.

The amount of vintage figures and vehicles is insane. Its crazy awsome. I FREAKING ENVY YOU ORLANDO TANKERS! I'm deffenetly hitting it up one more time before heading back to Miami. I wont be seeing joe stuff like that till the next Joecon!

Chap Mei in Winn Dixie?! I'm gonna have to take a look!
Also, i caved when TJ Maxx restocked Bruder trucks and bought the flatbed with the backhoe. The backhoe fits modern joes perfectly. I ended up dismantling the Man Truck cab in order to cut the doors (as they are part of the mold and do not open), cut holes on the floor so that that joes may fit comfortably, and painted the dashboard. I gotta come up with some hinges for the doors (i'll probably hit Home Depot tomorrow). There's a picture of a custom made with this somewhere in this site. I'll admit that the scale is a little big, but not bad at all. Rubber tires, and room for a makeshift suspension. And the cab rises for motor access. Also, the flat bed has adjustable stops, so that different vehicles may be accommodated. The Vamp fits perfectly. The Peacekeepers ARH, not so much (tail sticks out).

Tamiami Airport TJ Maxx has 25th duke, 25th Destro, and 25th CC down to $3.

They had a counter full of mint complete (about 10 vehicles), two glass displays with about 13 vehicles, about 8 pegs full of mint on card and 20 pegs with complete ARAH figures and 3 racks full of over 20 vehicles that were missing like a missle here or an antena there .
They also had 3 large bins with vehicle fodder and Jeff brought out 3 boxes with even more fodder more me to siff through. I havent seen that much vintage stuff since Joecon man and in Miami there are no vintage dealers. In fact the clossest place to get vintage stuff for us is Orlando.

I highly recomend any Miami guys who happen to be passing by Orlando to stop in and check them out.

Ocala Easy Street WM had TONS of Hazard Vipers, some Stalkers, one each Viper and Blue-Shirt, lots of Iron Grenadier's and some Renegade Cobra Commanders. I also found the Renegade Duke and Firefly. Most of the Renegade stuff just doesn't appeal to me but I really like these two for some reason. That and 25th Tiger Force version are the only Duke's I own.

Kendall WM had 2 Renegade Dukes, 2 Fireflys, 2 CCs, and 1 SE. They also has 1 HV and 1 IG. Remember how i reported some weeks ago that WM had restocked some TIE Bombers? No? Well, take my word for it, i did. I didn't buy one then, since i remember the price being a little steep (for what it is). Well, today they had a single one left, so i took it to the register for a price check (WM has removed all price-checkers in the remodeling chaos) and it rang up at $5! Couldn't pass that up, even if i really don't have many SW vehicles.

Thats is freaking sweet bro! I only collect Joes but SW stuff is so bad ass. If I had a bigger place Id totally have a SW corner.

Just an FYI.... TAMPA-CON is coming on Sunday, November 13th to the Double-Tree resort on Cypress Ave in Tampa. It starts at 10 AM and goes till 4 PM. That's perfect time for anyone making a day-trip out of it.

It used to be in Tampa before and they moved it for a while to St Petersburg. I'm so glad its back. Many vendors set up (over 90 tables) and sell all around the showroom. There are actors & comic artists as celebrity guests and it is finally growing. Next year they are expanding it to a 2-day convention and will begin to include panels.

Junior and I are doing 2 tables filled with all the awesome toys and collectibles your happy little hearts could desire. GI Joes, Star Wars, Transformers and more. This will include vintage and new.

I am finally pulling items out of my Batcave for the public to purchase. Let me know if you are coming and if there is anything in particular you are looking for.

Off topic I guess but with no Joes to buy, I've been buying those $3 Maisto Tailwinds die cast airplanes at WM. Some are shit but others, once your cut off the crap plastic landing gear and oversized missiles they make for some cool display pieces. I like military stuff as well and they have some oddball planes that I've never seen anywhere else. Heck they even have a little stand. I worked on a P-38 lightning today, came out really nice.

The Model Power planes they used to sell at Hobby Lobby were way better and Only $15ish. I have a few of those, pretty much solid metal, my B-29 broke the plastic stand.

It looks like they gave them Matchbox style landing gear. Matchbox brings some good stuff to the table though. Most of their offerings are fantasy, I stick mainly to the "real" aircraft but some of the "fantasy" stuff is cool too. Got a real nice Cessna floatplane and the stunt biplane. The wackiest one I have is a Korean War era F-86 Sabre with MIG 15 features. Kinda weird but cool. I just bought the Space Shuttle today as a matter of fact.

One of my other beefs with Tailwinds is how some aircraft have no markings whatsoever, no national insignia, nothing. I saw the all white Japanese Zero today and the ME-262. Another is how some landing gear mount through the fuselage making removal easy but some have these goofy molded metal "boxes" around them. For lack of a better way to explain it. I know that these are toys and are under $4 but I can still bitch dammit!:)

Anyhow, it's very cool to see I'm not the only one who collects these little guys!:)

I've been to almost all of them over the last 6 years, and in my experience if you're going JUST for Joes, than you'll be really disappointed. I would say overall it's primarily a comic buying experience, with a variety of random toys mixed in. Not to say I've never found any Joes there, cause I've actually found several over the years, just that its been super hit or miss. There have been times when I've literally not seen 1 Joe there, and others where I've found a lot.

I went, usual experience. Decent comic selection, very little in the way of Joes, and what was there was pretty overpriced for the most part. Did pick up a few things from the JvC era, prices weren't great but I just wanted to get something Joe related for the price of admission.

That is why I stopped going to conventions more specifically Orlando FX. I used to go every year for about 7 years straight. But when you add up parking, admission plus Joe prices really were not that great, I really did not think I came out ahead.

Yeah, overpriced figures and not really worth it. I may have stayed just less than an hour and split without buying a single thing. That "Poison Ivy" cosplayer was kinda sexy, though.

I also went to Orlando FX many, many years in a row. My favorite FX show was when I got to meet Nathan Filion.

I had turned my Mom on to Firefly when it first hit DVD and she became a RABID fan of it. She even took me to see Serenity in theaters! So, when I heard Nathan was gonna be a guest, I took her to meet him. He mispelled her name on the picture she bought and when he realized it, he called for his lil assistant to get another pic. The assistant was too busy talking and laughing with her friends, so he got up from the table, walked all the way around the celebrity section and grabbed a fresh pic himself! Then he signed it and took a pic with her.

She was so touched that he went out of his way to get her pic signed the right way that she has become a Filion fan for life. She even watches Castle religiously every week!

Conventions are NOT what they used to be, for sure.

I met Nathan Fillion at that same FX show and you are totally right: what a kind and generous dude. He didn't just sit and sign things, he got up and walked around the table to take pics with people, knelt down to talk to little kids, just a great ego-less celebrity.

Such a contrast to some of the artists who act like they should be pampered and pandered to just so they can offer you the chance to spend $100 on a 10 minute sketch(yes, this is a blanket statement and there are some great artists, too).

The FX show was great in seeing and meeting celebs. I met Biff from the "Back to the Future" trilogy, Jimmy "Mouth of the South" Heart, two or three Playboy playmates, but the biggest ones of them all was when "Heroes" was at it's peak (and I was a huge fan) I met Hayden Panettiere and Zachary Quinto. Jeremy Bulloch (the original Boba Fett) is (or was) a staple at FX. And one time Ray Park fresh out of his Darth Maul role was there too.

Yes, i met Ray Park at that same con, he was cool as hell. He had just signed to play Snake-Eyes and told me he was busting his butt to get in shape for the role. We talked for about 5 mins and he came off as a real person.

The other people that year were the Cast of the Warriors (one of my favorite flicks of the 70s) and Erik Estrada. My late grandmother used to love Estrada on CHIPS and even had his poster in the 70s.

Well, my mom never cared for Estrada, but she went over to him and got him to sign a picture to my late grandmother, Carmen. He said his mother's name was also Carmen and asked my mom where she was from? So, it turns out that they lived in the same section of Brooklyn, NY as my family did. And they talked for like 15 minutes. The coolest thing about that was Erik took a few pics with my mom and then walked us away from his table... He hugged my mom and did not charge her for a single thing, not even the autograph that the show was charging for $25 a pop! As he let her go, he told her "We're both from Brooklyn and this is how we do". Needless to say, my mom is now an Erik Estrada fan.

Well to be totally honest its actually a Brawler. The later version of the Hammer with the massive gattling gun/missle launcher from the 1994 headquarters mounted on top.
I hate that launcher so I decided since its only one roof-mounted option away from being a Hammer then I would simply buy the roof gun on Ebay or something. Well its been 2 months an no one has put one up, nor do any of the parts dealers carry one. Its to the point Im ready to just retro-fit something for now till the hollowed day I find that mount and gun.

oh and yes 25th joes do fit. I have Benchpress and my custom Crosshairs sitting in there now.

Tankers in the Orlando area, the Toys R Us in Altamonte has a lot of 30th and Renegades figures. They have at least 2 of every figure from this current wave.

Also, got my 2 Skystrikers today. I got one from the TRU online sale and one from HTS and both were less than $30 with tax and shipping. I also got a VAMP MK II from HTS for about $17 shipped with tax. So I am pretty happy right now. I planned to have at least 3 Sky Strikers. I am hoping they go on clearance after Christmas.

Some of the look pretty good like Iron Klaw, Topside, and Slice, but you got a point, $200 to $300 for these thing is ridiculous, maybe $100 to $150 would be cool.

100-150 for the set is nowhere near realistic. 240-300 is realistic for limited run of 13 exclusive figures. Figure also, if this doesn't succeed this won't happen again. If Hasbro kills GI Joe, then this is the only way to get your Joe fix. And I'm sorry, but I don't see Joe performing really well. Hell, we're a Joe fan community and look how much negative criticism we have for the line.

I've openly lamented on that subject before too. It looks like the majority of tankers hate anything that is Joe related after 1994. Majority, not all.

The toy line will be re-fueled as soon as the live-action movie hits.
That should keep it going for another 2-3 years in the least. Look at Pirates of the Caribbean! those stupid toys still have like a 4 foot section in every toys R us. Hell I still find Watchmen toys at TRU! Retailers are like brain-dead hamsters when it comes to movie-toys. They dont even consider the success of the film (Megamind toys anyone?).

I think the 240-260ish range is fair. Pushing 300 is...well pushing it. You get 15 figures in a con set for 300, and while some of those are army builders they still cost nearly the same for the GIJCC to produce since they've already paid for the molds. I just need to find a job, or this whole thing is going to be a no-go for me at any price. Anybody know of any office or tech management jobs?

These things are not even up to the HOH or POC standards that they released at retail and yet they cost about 3x more per figure. I have a Covergirl figure from the 3-pack they released around the early 2000's and I compared the pictures from the subscription service and YOJOE.com and I really do not see the need for the newer one. Yeah she has a curvier figure, but that's it.

HOH maybe repaints of already released figures, but they did an awesome job of repainting it. Chrome visors for the Vipers, enough said!!! POC had killer sculpts matching or surpassing the BBi figure sculpts.

Both lines got warm receptions from fans. But I agree that there are people on this site who are just not happy with ANYTHING Joe that HASBRO has released after the original ARH line ended.

They might slow it down to store exclusives like they did in the 90's but I don't think they will fully rely on the subscription service. It might be sold online exclusively at HTS.

Okay, I hate to be this guy. But, the club is not Hasbro. The club is a licensee of Hasbro and doesn't have Hasbro's resources. That said, the FSS isnt that bad. There are 4 I love, three I like and can take or leave the rest. But I'd like to know what the club can do next time, and I'm willing to give this a shot to see. Now, that said, if they don't do better next run there won't be a third.

I don't really say "Hey that sucks" I tactfully say they could have done better on this, or I've seen better by customizers, mayne they should team up with some of these guys and come up with something cool. If it truly is a fanclub it should cater to the fans and listen to what they have to say. On the other side of the coin tou have the guys that say "This is the awesomest figure I've ever seen" those dudes need to come down to earth.

I think Hasbro did a fantastic job with POC. Renegades... not so much.

I really like the Renegades figures so far, especially the fact that Hasbro(IMO) has done a good job of making them not look out of place with the 30th/PoC line. They didn't go "Clone Wars" on them and break out into crappy animated styles. The Duke is really a masterpiece and is my main Duke now. Can't wait for Tunnel Rat and Scarlett. Ripcord I could've gone a lifetime without, but that has to do with my reservations about changing everything about my favorite childhood character for the movie.

I think it would help the Club a lot if they were to release carded pics of some of the figs. I'm sure they're still in progress on most, but even some digital mockups with the actual artwork could help a lot of people who are on the fence.

I wouldn't hold my breath on the secondary market. Most of the club exclusives go for a pretty penny.

i think it was one up front payment or three payments in two month intervals, from what was said recently on their facebook page.
