No sweat man! I just got home too, havent had a chance to open up my Crazy Legs. I did open one of the rock vipers and goddamt to hell! I love the figure but I had to add some straps to his gear so he can actually carry all his gear. Why cant they all be like Low-Light? why cant they just have holsters and pegs for the rifles and such?

Oh and yeah BTW, wave 6 now available at TRU in kendall drive and 117th ave. So far only Helt and I have hit it up so they should still have enough for you army building gobblins.

I also checked international TRU and they did have any. In fact they reduced the gi joes to 3 pegs and expanded the pirates section.

Mutt meet is great! You've never been? Basically a bunch of Florida collectors get together (as well as some from Georgia and even South Carolina I believe) and we bring tons of figures and vehicles for sale and trade. Then Mutt cooks burgers and hot dogs and we all drink beer. Then we go home and talk about the shit we shouldve bought. Its in Deltona, usually twice a year. It really is a blast. There's usually about 20-30 people that show up and everybody brings tons of stuff. It's worth the drive.

I love the Viper figure. It's like an apology from Hasbro for the flaws in the first single carded one from 25th. I don't care for the IGs complete lack of poseability. The Rock Viper is just ok. He could be any character if you discount the climbing great. Not a bad figure, just not what I was hoping for when I first read"Rock Viper" before the pics were out.

I kinda got to the same point as you, so for wave 5 & 6, I preordered both waves with a friend so we'd only have to pay 1 shipping charge, and we ordered from Smalljoes cause they were the cheapest. I'm not sure of the exact dollar amount, but we did the math and it was actually just a hair cheaper to buy them this way, then it was to buy them in stores because of tax.

Of course that's assuming you could find them all in stores, with the amount of time and the cost of gas I think you actually end up saving quite a bit. Though for me the hunt was always half the fun, but at least you get the figures this way.

His accessories seem like the product of a mix up. His big (too big for a ParaViper head) helmet lacks some sort of visor, his sniper rifle does not have a detachable lens that could perfectly attach to his Low-Light holster, his backpack's too wide around the waist, and he can't store his handgun or pick; but he has a spear (at least his backpack holds that). At first I thought the Rock Viper was a bad figure as well, but I'll give him this - get the right parts combo for him and he looks good. Discard that bulbous helmet and setup his pack right... and he's pretty rad! : )

I'm interested in organizing a group of Tankers that live in nearby counties (Pasco, Pinellis, Hillsborough, Hernando) that are willing to help each other out by texting finds to each other and save all of us time/gas. I understand that this is the general purpose of this thread but it is not the most efficient and it's not always relevant to the guy in J-ville when a guy is finding something in a specific store location in Miami. There are many guys that live in close proximity here and are frequently visiting the same stores so why not do it in a coordinated manner?

I also think it is a good way to build our sense of community on here by helping locals out and not contributing to the lurkers anymore that don't bother to post or contribute to findings but benefit from all of us that go hunting regularly.

If your interested, just shoot me a PM and I will work out some details for the group.

Sometimes online dealers get screwed by Hasbro. A dealer will order a certain amount of product, then they can make that amount of product available for a pre-order. At this point the dealer has genuine expectations they will receive what they ordered. Unfortunately, Hasbro doesn't always come through and deliver what the dealer ordered. So they are forced to cancel. I'm not sure a return of money is needed since I don't believe Smalljoes takes money up front for pre-orders. There is no conspiracy to screw the buyer, they just can't sell you what they don't have.

Just got back from Target on MLK in N. St Pete. Nothing but Artic Destros and Dusty - TONS of each.

On the lighter side, they restocked new MU figures - first Appearance Wolvie, Spider-Woman, Spider-Man 2099 and Gladiator (several of each on the pegs). No restocks yet. A lone TG SE & a Rock Viper are all that remain. And sadly, the only reason they never those on the pegs is because I originally put them there. For weeks after the reset I kept stopping in hoping to see some Wave 5 or 6 goodness on the newly arrived 4 pegs for Joes (crammed between Phineas and Corps toys). Late last week I was browsing the small clearance area and found a cases' worth of wave 6 minus 1 Croc Master. I bought 2 Vipers, an IG & a Rock Viper. I asked the guy if they had anything fresh in the back and he responded "No, we are getting rid of the GI joe line, we wont be selling them anymore". Still that TRU, the one in international mall and the one in hialeah have not recieved anything new since wave 3. leaves me to wonder if TRU might actually pull out of GI Joe.

I agree that the movie figures did make the retailers scared. I too remember 25th stuff being hard to find towards the end. But that was due to the retailers choosing not to order enough. This is why so many waves ended up at Big Lots and Family Dollar. To demand was clearly there. Now the movie comes along and the retailers are on board for supporting the line because the missed out on the 25th stuff and there is a movie to support it. Figures will sell like hotcakes!! Yeah...not so much. The figures sucked, the movie was mediocre at best. Retailers have to clearance stuff and they are scared of GIJoe again. Agree, this all comes from a lack of advertising on Hasbro's part, while renegades was a OK tool for this, it was not on a major network where kids would have been able to see it, the comics are great but most kids now don't read comics, Hasbro needs to re-think their strategy when it comes to this brand, or else it's gonna go the way of the Dodo.

I hope they do something big for the 30th line, or JOE fans are screwed.

You are right about that. Not only are comics not a medium kids choose, they can't afford them anyway. Comics when we were kids were $1.00 at the most and you could get them at the grocery store. Now you can only get them at a comic book store for $4.00 a pop. Comics are doomed to be extinct in my opinion. They only survive based on the sales of the adults that grew up on them. I gave up on them myself because of the price and the lack of good content.

That's 'cause you should've kept on westward on Kendall to the WM. There were 4 Shockies hanging around there for weeks (well documented by my posts). Then 2 were left, and of last week there was only one. I also saw 2 Shockies over a week ago at the Dadeland Target. I didn't report that since no one seemed interested in the Shock Troopers anymore. Don't bother with the Target on Kendall and 150th, it has been choking on Artic Destros and Jungle Troopers for 2 months!

Just a heads up, if you have a local WM that is not currently carrying Joes, you need to ask the department manager to activate them in their store and they will usually do it. If you run into someone that isn't as accommodating as you would like, all you have to do is bring it to the attention of the store manager who's name is usually displayed on every receipt. Make them aware that you have had to take your business to another WM because they carry Joes and you prefer to do your shopping in a store that carries what you are looking for.

I hear ya man, that's why I will only speak to managers. When I do I make sure I am dressed in my business attire and express to them that I am 1 of a group of collectors who have stopped shopping at their store because they don't carry products that are available to them within their current warehouse inventory. I then explain to them that it would really help us out from a convenience standpoint due to their location and that we would in turn be helping them out by spending at least 12k (5 guys x$200 a month) a year in their toy department alone not to mention however much would be spent on other items. I am 1 for 1 on this approach so far and I have now been able to get W5 (except the Bat) and W6 as a result.

It dossent matter that the customer takes his money elsewere cause 1. there is a huge population to cover for that gap, 2. 40% of all profit comes from tourists anyway and 3. if you loose your job youll be working again by weeks end.
No one cares, no one listens, no one takes notice unless its on the 6 o'clock news and even then it has to be on the spanish channels if you are in the 305 area.

I couldn't agree more - I'll admit I've never felt a commitment to professionalism at Wal-Mart, but in South Florida at least it's a different animal. It just feels like a place to keep the unemployable occupied.

It's the same reason you never call them on the phone to ask about GI Joes before you drive all around town - because they don't care and wouldn't know what you're talking about even if you could text them photos of it.

I've called Walmart, and they hung up on me. Another time they kept me on hold for so long that i hung up and called again. I'm so busy with school that i'm hardly hunting. Glad it's kinda dry, else i'd be going nuts!

That's awesome man. I'm glad I could help. The guy there usually has Joe stuff but it's hit or miss with the quality. I actually bought a set of the 93 International Action Force figures all still the the bag for 10 bucks total. I will keep you updated on anything I find out there.

Hit Oldsmar flea market today. Guy in row E had some nice stuff. He has tons of sealed JvC, VvV, Spy Troops stuff. He also has a bunch of complete vintage figures. He has them in a case on the left. A lot of nice figures in great shape. He also had a bunch of vehicles in the case. Night Raven, Wolverine, Lynx to name a few. His prices are ok too. I picked up the Battle Tank model kit.

Mutt & Junkyard is currently available at many Marshalls (and some TJ Maxx) stores for either $3 or $3.99

Cobra Trooper and Viper are both showing up at Marshalls/TJ Maxx stores at the moment but only in the west, none have shown up in FL yet.

None of the others you have listed are currently available at any retail stores.

Many Big Lots do still have some comic packs, but they are simply left over stock and aren't getting more as far as I know. So if you are interested in those you should start looking now. Currently available are Tunnel Rat vs. Training Storm Shadow, Shockblast vs. Destro, Scrap Iron vs. Wild Bill, Cobra Commander vs Tripwire, and occasionally (uncommon) I've seen Hardmaster/Apprentice Snake Eyes.

Big Lots dossent seem to have recieved any joe stock since christmas bro. I havent seen anything at any biglots since march.
Not to mention your looking for figures that came out nearly 4 years ago! Even the big 3 (Marshalls, Ross and TJ Max) are only carrying the last couple of waves of waves from that line. ROC seems to be the only stuff you see at those stores these days.

I loaded up at JoeCon cause of how rare its becoming to see 25th line in the wild.

You can find them cheep as hell online now. Guru-planet, Outerrimcollectibles, toy wiz, smalljoes and BBTS all carry most of they ones you mentioned. and if your really really in desperate need and cost is no issue then Ebay.

also check out the Buy/Sell/Trade forum bro, lots of Tankers are always selling stuff on there.

Don't bother checking TRU in NPR anymore, somebody thought it was a good idea to return a ton of W6 peg warmers there. There are 7 Temple Guardian SE, 7 Croc Master, 4 Crazy Legs, a Rock Viper and 4 or 5 Arctic Destro. They won't be getting anything in again for a long long time!

Thanks for the tip. Hadn't planned on building the B.A.T.S, but for $3 each I picked them up. Hawk is a nice troop builder as well with head swap.

All that's left there are Blowtorch and Cobra Commander, but at $3 each they are probably worth it.
