I was *this* close. Someone contacted the seller an hour or so before I did so the seller gave him first shot. And of course they bought it. $1000 was a steal for all the stuff he had and it looked to be in excellent shape. I probably should have offered him more but I really didn't want to do that without seeing it all in person.

Sorry if I offended, but technically up until 1945 VW was funded by the Third Reich, I doubt there are a lot of bugs from 1938-1945 running around out there so I guess that clears the brand name. Maybe the Red Skull is driving one around or something. Bottom line is you like what you like. I've never driven a bug or been in one actually, I just like the update to BEE, don't think the first movie would have worked with a cutesy new bug, and I think Herbie ruined bugs for everyone else, though I did enjoy those movies when I was a youngster (the old Disney ones not the Lohan crap)

LOL, i don't get offended. If you said 1938-1945 in the first place then i would have agreed. I thought you meant all bugs up to present times. I have been in one of the newer ones but i'm nowhere near a fan of them and yeah the new Herbie does suck the big one. ;)

but after 20 years and and 5 days, Ive finally decided to leave the New Port Richey Area... In Fact, Im leaving the state. Im head to MICHIGAN kiddies, Im going to freeze my ass off I know... Im going back to school for Graphic Design with My fiance and kid..........

Actually today I was at TJ maxx and found a Gung Ho / Fred VII (BA Cobra Commander ) Comic Pack and a Beach Head / Mainframe comic pack all and all not a bad haul oh and yesterday the y had a whole case of vehicles I think wave 2 of 25th ( Cobra Firebat, Armadillo and Air Chariot and Trouble bubble and Ram ) at the Marshalls in Town and Country didnt get any because they were still in the box and had not been put up on the shelves I heard that theyre all gone by today.

Stopped at TRU In Brandon on the way home from Botcon, man that place is pegwarmer central for all things GI Joe and Star Wars,they still had a crap load of the oval shaped package SW figs.... thats going back like 1.5-2 years!!! Did not buy any TF's at Botcon, but picked up MLC Lifeline, Alpine, and Lowlight for 10 bucks a piece.
