Found wave 5 in London last night.Looks like they got one case in which is sad.They're easy to miss. I went down the aisle three times before i seen them!

No tag on peg eithier so there's no way to know if they sell out if they had them to begin with.

I found all wave 5 canadian carded (snake eyes, destro, flash, snow job and crimson guard) at the winnipeg, manitoba walmart, as well found the 3 comic packs at zellers.

The best place to find 25th Joes in Canada is probably the comic/specialty shops, at least in my experience. How long have you Joefans been collecting? It's been since 1996 for me and the only time I recall it being fairly easy was 1997/98 with the TRU exclusives.

Hey the thread was closed but I think it is news that Comic Packs were found at Toys-R-Us in Ontario. Before this the only sightings I heard about were at Zellers.

And for the west coast, the best place is Toy Traders in Langley, BC. They have full waves 3-5 single carded (tons of stock, US cards) for $9.99 and wave 1 comic packs (all 3, US packaging) for $14.99

Lots of stock and literally 4 mins from my house. Whoohooo for me!

Yes & no, we're not getting waves 1-4 cases but in the up coming wave 6 I think there is Serpentor, Beach Head, Air Trooper and Cobra Trooper...I think.
So those will be on CDN cards,
whatever is in Wave 6 besides Armour CC, R&R and Torpedo are from previous waves.
Also Hasbro plans on changing the card to 2 different generic COBRA & JOE cards...who knows when.

I find it so lame that they receive only one case/box per shipment. I didn't get them since I already have a set so if you're in the area have at it :)

Toronto/GTA sightings:

I live in Unionville, and have been hunting these figures down. I saw empty pegs (pretty much only 1 peg at each location, probablly meaning they only get 1 or 2 cases) at Walmarts for 6-7 bucks, so if you are lucky you can get a few there but there are so few its next to impossible to get them. Heroes World at Hwy 7 and Warden has a good stock but they really gouge you, figures range from 15-30 dollars (IG destro they put to 30 bucks sigh), comic packs cost a whopping 28 bucks, so if you are desperate you can get them there (though its probablly better just to get them online even though you have to wait a long time but probablly half the price they sell it). Silver Snail downtown on Queen and Peter, has a decent selection also and are reasonablly priced at about 9 dollars each and 15 or 16 for comic packs. New waves tend to be released about 2-4 weeks after they are released in the states because they have to special order them (except for walmart who have the blank canadian cards). The comic stores I listed have the US cards. In general the prices are a good deal higher then the states, so if you can find cheaper online, do it. Though if you are looking for that elusive 1 or 2 figures, sometimes its less hassel just to pay the extra 1 or 2 dollars at silver snail. I dont suggest you buy at Heroes World, they charge WAY too much, if enough people dont buy there, hopefully they will lower prices. Not likely though as they seem to sell well there. I started off buying there untill I knew better and did more hunting and found WAY cheaper prices.

Just found wave 6 at the Walmart at Brock Rd/401 in Pickering this morning. When I get home tonight I will post a pic. I found CC w/armor, Torpedo, Rock n Roll, Serpentor, Beachhead, Air Trooper and Crimson Guard. All were on US cards. I bouht everything except Beachhead and Serpentor. Also found all of wave 5 on Cdn cards at the Zellers in East York (Thorncliffe).

Apparently some people have found Comic Packs at Zellers and I believe there was a report that someone found them at a Toy-R-Us. I personally have found nothing locally of the 25th stuff.

*edit: Looks like I spoke too soon. Checked my local Zellers this afternoon and found wave 1 Comic Packs and saw two pegs for 25th Joes Single "English", so it looks like they might be getting (or had) US Carded Single figures.

Yup Zellers and TRUS in GTA I have seen the 3 Wave 1 comic packs. So far at Zellers and TRUS I have only seen the Canadian carded Wave 5 figs. However at Walmart along with Wave 5 CDN, I have also seen Wave 6 US carded figs.

Anyone tried looking at Sears or The Bay for this stuff?

Just found some wave 6 us carded figures at winnipeg wal-marts. One had serpentor, then checked another one and found torpedo and rock and roll tucked behind the box of corps figures. Don't know if it's worth the runaround for empty pegs. A local comic store been getting in a case of every wave for a dollar extra than retail.

Wave 5 just showed up at the TRU in central Alberta. 9.99/fig! unreal. I couldn't even buy them for others on here no one would pay the price!

Last week I did the tour of every Walmart and Zellers in Hamilton/Burlington, as well as the one Toys'r'us, and saw a a total of about a dozen joes. TRU had canadian carded wave 5, one Zellers had a Torpedo (which I took) and a cobra air trooper, and one walmart had one crimson guard. That's all I've seen around here over the last month.

None of the Zellers or Wal~Mart stores in my area have seen any product since about a month ago.
When I tried to order a case of singles through Hasbro Canada Wholesale I was told nothing would be available until June. I don't know that that same rule would apply to major retailers but I'm not anticipating any restocks until the new card backs have been produced.

Picked up the only two Joes at the Hamilton Toys'r'us today: Sgt. Flash and a Crimson Guard, both Canadian cards. The guy working there told me that Joes have been so sparse there because the staff have been buying them up as soon as they come in. He said almost all the staff there have the whole collection (moderate exaggeration i'm sure, but means they've been buying a lot of them).

She didn't know when, but soon, and that Hasbro had grossly underestimated the demand for the line. That's all I got, and it's all been said before, so hopefully soon really means closer to now.

The guy went to the computer on the back store and when he came back he told me that they should receive Gi joe 25th in the next weeks (by the end of this month) so I figure out that toysrus.ca will have them also in a few weeks

You might want to check Heroes World in Unionville/Markham as well, they are more expensive but if you are desperate they usually have some. I bought my Vipers online a few weeks ago at about the same price as the local comic stores ($10ish), and Im not going to buy the other figures except maybe a HISS driver. Keep checking ebay, for some deals, you can get the figures including shipping costs for about the same price as comic shop prices or for a few dollars more that you would spend on gas anyways. Ive started to shy away from stores (except planet x as they seem to have stock though not sure about wave 7) as of late b/c of the delays to Canada, the low stock, and the relatively high prices due to importing. Less hastle to just get online these days, untill we get better stock in our walmarts and zellers and waiting for TRU to pick them up as well.

Someone on cybertron.ca reported finding the new wave 7 at a Walmart in Stoney Creek either yesterday or the day before.

So they should start to flood the market in the next couple weeks.

The Planet X location on St. Clair E. has some wave 4/5/6 figs but mostly the less sought after ones. They didn't know when they might get more, or if they would get the Cdn. versions.

I decided to do some joe hunting today, went to Planet X richmondhill, Heroes World Markham, Silver snail (on wensday), and a couple of walmarts in Markham/Richmondhill. Planet X had a viper, se, bill and spirit as well as comic packs and some assorted other waves. I took the viper and se (i wasnt going to take the se but I was surprised how well he looked and the gear he came with so I got him) and left bill and spirit as I didnt really like them (Bill looked pretty good but just not for me). 9 bucks for figs, and they raised their comic packs by a lot, when I first got the twins, ace and ww, and fred and scarface, way back when they were 15 dollars, now they range from 15-25. Heroes world had 1 HISS tank driver, a bunch of vipers bills and spirits (didnt see SE). I took the HISS tank driver and a viper. They were 15 each (QQ, HISS tank driver seems to be hard to find so I just payed the extra 5 at heroes world), comic packs were there but were a whooping 30 bucks. Silver Snail was sold out on Wensday by noonish which is crazy considering its a work day and I went at lunch time. Walmart had empty pegs as usual, dont even know if they had wave 7 in. Im pretty much done for wave 7 now, got 3 vipers online, 2 from the stores, 1 hiss tank driver and se. I pass on wild bill and spirit iron knife. Probablly best if you check the stores next week for restocks of HISS and SE, you can probablly pick up wild bill and spirit at any comic store as no one seems to like thme (including me). The Zellers in Lloydminster, Alberta has Twins, Wild Weasel, CG and Breaker comic packs fully stocked again. They are $14.99 each and there is still a lonely Snowjob with the blank card and white sticker left on the shelf from about 1 month ago. Wal-Mart here has no Joes and they also removed the peg and sticker where they used to sit so that means that they prob aren't getting anymore in.

For anyone wondering why I'm so concerned about the date stamps it's because you cannot order a specific wave from Hasbro Canada. You order a case of an assortment, in this case, G.I. Joe Singles....and you get whatever they have in the warehouse.

I'm unable to read the date correctly and if I try to remove the UPS plastic as you can see in the first pic everything will come off

There should be a 5 digit number stamped on the back of the figures themselves. Something like 8XXX2. or 8XXX1.

Yup, that's the one.
It means that the figures were produced on the 113th day of 2008. I'm not sure what the "2" means, some people speculate that it's the shift number...its always a 1 or 2.
Anyway, it just makes it easier for me to track down a case of Wave 8 instead of getting another case of Wave 7. Thanks a lot for your help.

Went to my local wal mart tonight (Oshawa) and was excited to see wave 8 figures on the pegs. Then I pulled them all down and realized that mostly all of them had the cards all bent to shit. Man, was I MAD.

I was able to grab TF Flint, Baroness, Roadblock, Major Bludd and the wave 7 Snake Eyes I was missing from the wave 7 figures I grabbed last week (the only wave 7 figure they had.) I had to leave behind the Cobra Commander because both cards were bent to hell and there was no Snake Eyes or Python Patrol Officer.

The cards that were damaged looked like they had been done on purpose and if thats the case, thats pretty sad that someone would do that just so another collector can't pick up figures. When I got home and too kthem out of the bag to check them out I noticed that one of the vipers has the all white logo and packageing and not the silver packageing like the rest of my vipers. I figured it was the 7=silver/white=8 thing but the thing that stuck out with me was that everytime I saw cases of wave 8 the vipers still had the silver cards. In my experience so far I have been finding my 7's at TRU and 8's at wal marts never vice versa or mixed together....werid.

It's a family run business and the manager Paul is a huge GI Joe fan, he's still catching up on the 25th Anniversary line but has a lot of newer stuff in (wave 4 comic packs last time I was in). Best of all he'll order stuff in specifically for you if you let him know what you want... I'm getting single figure waves sealed in their shipping box just for me.

Are you going to be there when the stores open ?
Or better yet, when the store opens during a "week" when they might put out one case ?
You might find some leftovers of Wild Bill, R. Block V2, Baroness...maybe even Hawk or Bazooka.
However, out of all the Province's in Canada Ont. is your best bet.

Seems like its the only place in the lower mainland that carries Joes. I've seen a handful of figures at TRU at Willowbrook mall. Walmart never has stock of anything GI joe.

Collecting Joes as a kid was never this hard, you could buy them anywhere, The Bay, Sears, Woodwards etc.

Some of the toy/comic shops around me here still have vehicles. Think he's sold out of HISS tanks though. I've seen figures at Walmart before but it's really spotty. You literally have to just be there when they take it out cause they usually only have one case at a time. That's how I got my Mjr Bludd. They opened one case and it was hanging on the pegs. They only get them in one case at a time cause their system recognizes one case as being 8 pieces so they basically order 8 figures at a time when they order it.

Just moved to brandon, manitoba. The walmart has about a dozen canadian carded baroness, major bludd and the rest and about 20 vehicles like vamps and hisses. I'm not too much into star wars these days but there's like 6 millenium falcons and about 8 at-te. My brother doesn't collect toys but he bought the millenium falcon and I got an at-te. If they go on clearance I wouldn't mind getting some extra at-tes as cobra troop carriers.

Those are in large supply in my area of Toronto. The VAMPs are the ones in shorter supply, but you still get to see about 1 every 4 stores that carry them.

I am from Oshawa. Hence, Whitby and Pickering TRUs are considered my local ones. The Toronto east end TRUS for me are a pain in butt to get to, mostly because of traffic.

Picked up the GI Joe Sea Command and Air Command today. Unfortunately, they didn't know the SKU of the Sea Command so they sold it to me for $9.98 as a Sigma 6 Command. $14.99 for the Air Com. No IG pack. And I bought them out (1 of each). That was at Victoria Terrace TRU. They also had 2 Pyton Troopers (one on US card too!), Blue Baroness, Viper, 3 Snake Eyes pegwarmers, and a Viper. Also had the vehicles except for the VAMP. Only one RAM cycle though. They also had the DVD packs.

Cederbrae TRU didn't have any Command Sets, but did have the 4 vehicles, PP Trooper, a Viper, V2 Roadblock, Jet pack Duke, Wild Bill, and a couple of SE pegwarmers. Comic packs included lots of Breaker/Destro, one Dreadnok pack, I think a Red Star, and battle damaged SE/SS.

Cederbrae Zellers had the Serp vehicle pack and a lot of squat else. Not even pegwarmers.

Damn, just scored the Snow Serpent, BAT, black Storm Shadow and Hawk figures at the TRU at Lawrence and Victoria Park. Unfortunately those were the only ones that they had. But they had a BBQ and a Bazooka as well.

I was at Heroes World at HW7 and Warden. They are expensive there with ebay type prices (and they keep raising the prices which made me stop buying from there), but b/c of that they usually have some stock if you are having a hard time finding some figures and dont want the hassle of ebaying. Once in a while youll find some ok priced stuff, they had 4 or 5 BATs yesterday for 10 bucks each (I have a feeling the priced them wrong, an meant 19.99 instead of 9.99), so I picked up 3 of those. The new DVD packs I think were 35 bucks each, which was about 5-8 bucks more then Walmart if I remember correctly, they also had Target Rattlers and Skystrikers for a whooping 60 bucks which again is ebay pricing (including shipping), luckly I got my rattler from a board member for cheaper (thanks dawg99). Snail last I checked always seemed to have DVD packs in stock but NEVER the new waves, I think people clear those out as soon as the store opens on wensdays. Im not sure if its the case with you guys, but Im finding vehicles (except the trouble bubble) and dvd packs are shelf warming places like TRU and Walmart but the single figures are still impossible to find at retail.


p.s Ill try and make a trip to snail during my lunch break today or next week to see how the stock is there.

Hey guys, I just made a trip to Markville (Hwy7 and McCowan), Toys R Us has lots of wave 1 DVD packs still, and more importantly TRU exclusives! Lots of stock on the CG 5 pack (which I skipped) and the Green Shirts pack (I picked up 1), they are 20 bucks each. There were only a limited amount of the 3 packs though, I think 2 Sea Command (I passed), and now 1-2 Air command (I picked up one b/c I didnt pick up a Single Card Wild Bill and this one looks way better), the 3 packs are 15 bucks. There was assorted peg warmers, Fred/Scarface, Wildbill single, ect. as well. Walmart had pretty much nothing, all sold out of the DVD packs (surprisingly...I saw tonnes of them 2 weeks ago), but still had assorted vehicles for 20.

TRU 5-packs hit Calgary yesterday, but are almost gone this evening.

Comic shops got Wave 9, but not 10, and the new DVD packs.

Depends how lucky the shop is. My local shop had 1 case of Wave10 which he saved for me and the rest Wave 9. For some unknown reason, Diamond sends one case of new waves and then sends the rest of the order later (like a month later). Been like that since Wave 5 it seems like.

Last wknd I went to Buffalo and they had Armoured CC and Snakes with Timber. I'm guessing they should be hitting here soon. Who knows how it works, because on the packaging it says they're shipped from Longueil Quebec.

Got word that My Cartoon Heroes has some Rattlers available. Send them an email to see if you can reserve one. I have one on reserve for $50. They might have some Conquests too for $47. Those were the prices earlier this week. Don't know if they changed since then with the $$ dropping.

Chap Mei/True Heroes Chinook on sale this week at TRU $21 Can. Regular $30. This is one impressive bad bird. Why can't Hasbro make stuff like this?

Minor nik pick - The stickers and airforce logo are placed only on one side. Those stubby winglets are shorter on one side as well. The off road vehicle stated on the box is not included. Who cares really. Don't know what it looks like either, no pics.

When I went to Silver Snail this week, there were lots of BATs and Snow Serpents available for once, they also had the new vehicles for 25 each. TRU markville still hasnt restocked, but they still have tonnes of wave 1 DVD packs and TRU crimson guard and green shirt packs.

Also if you guys are interested, I have a Cobra Night watch set MIB to trade for local pickup in Toronto or Markham, for any of the wave 2 DVD packs (the one with Dusty or Quick Kick).

I've seen some of the more recent comic packs at a couple of Zellers stores, (Brentwood and Scottsdale Mall). Brentwood had some single Canadian carded Joes. At least I'm seeing some Joes in stores, I don't know about Wal Mart though.

Did a Silver Snail run today, they have Internet 7 packs, 50 bucks each though (I got mine from BBTS for almost half that), and also the new comic packs (ScrapIron vs Wildbill, Mainframe and Beachhead, and the crappy ninja 2 pack which I passed on).

Maybe I should of collected Star Wars instead, at least you can find it pretty much anywhere. I was at Toys R Us yesterday and they had tons of it, and figures all on sale for like $5!

Mind you, when you do find Joes it is satisfying as its hard to come by. I hope Wal-Mart and Zellers get more before Xmas. Yesterday WM had nothing, and Zellers had 2 vehicles, thats it. Pretty bad.

Interesting find in WM Niagara region. They had US carded figures. Picked up HISS Driver, Viper and Gold Headed Destro. They also had Flash and SE, Crimson Guard. A couple of BATS and SP.
UPDATE: Picked up Beachhead Mainframe comic pack from TRU. Also Tiger Force Duke and Cobra Bazooka Soldier.
