How do you imagine/hear character voices in the comics?

I started reading the comics for the first time in the past few months and I notice that I sort of match the original cartoon voices, like Cobra Commander and Destro with their comic counterparts while I am reading. Does anyone else do this? If not, how do you picture their voices?

For some reason I have David Kaye's General Hawk from the Dic show stuck in my head. He also tells me to do things.

I started watching the show first. I will say though, every time I read them, even the DDP comics, I have the original show voices in my head... Never did like the voice they had for Storm Shadow though.. He sounds like a smoker. lol. Always related it to Bruce Lee instead.

Actually I thought if anything Storm Shadow and Spirit had super-stereotyped ethnic voices. (which in Storm Shadow's case sounds nothing like an actual Japanese accent but still sterotyped... hated it)

I dunno some of the characters I imagine the Sunbow voices for, others I just give different voices too.

I can't remember, but I think I recall Snake Eyes voice sounding like this: " ....... "

I'm guilty as well of hearing all the voices in the cartoon when I'm reading my GI Joe comics so of course there's a little improvisation when Roadblock's words don't match up to his accent in the cartoon.

Storm Shadow never bothered me because i just either speed up his talk or changed his voice alittle as to all the damage, stress and events done to his body.

Guilty, to a point. I'm trying not to read Cobra Commander with JGL's voice, lol. Ripcord is hilarious with a Wayan's voice, if only in a sad, sad way.

I think they got better as time went on. I think one's that were awesome was Shipwreck and Destro... I still have Don Johnson stuck in my head as Falcon.. hahaha
