Marvel issue #12 question

I just read it, and when Snake-Eyes sneaks onto the Cobra Bunker Island, he takes out two Dobermans. They show him sneaking up, the dogs see him, and then you see them laying there on the ground.

Now, did he actually kill them, or knock them out somehow? I guess the point is moot, because Baroness ended up blowing the island up, so they perished in the end anyways, but I was just surprised SE would kill a couple of dogs.

Being the animal lover I am, and the fact he had a pet wolf, I'd like to think he used some ninja technique to knock them out cold. :)

I would think with trained attack dogs like that,he would have no choice but to kill them.There is a big difference between having a pet and getting attacked by a strange animal.

Yeah, I suppose that's true.

Now, if that comic were written today, instead of the dogs lying there with their tongues out, they would be graphically ripped to shreds with blood and guts flying everywhere over the course of an entire page....lol

I see it as the opening scene in True Lies. When Harry Tasker is being chased and the two dogs that jump at him. He 'bonks' their heads together and they just passed out.
